The owners were utterly fantastic and helpful from the second I first called them to arrival on site and departure. Slight confussion with the signage as I initially thought the road to the site was for the pub car park but the site is spacious and well looked after. The toilets and shower block were clean. The views are excellent and its a brief walk to the pub.

When we first arrived here the little reception office was in chaos but the welcome was friendly. I popped to the toilet near the office and was amazed by the amount of cobwebs and general dilapidation! However, the other amenities over the other side of the site were basic but always clean with nice spacious well-functioning showers. There was a problem flushing though, it seemed at peek times.
We found the site a bit too out of the way because we basically used it as a base for exploring - we didn't really realise this when we booked (not their fault though). It was very quiet even though it was more or less full and the pitches appeared spacious for all.

A little hard to find as not well signposted and down a very little lane, but a superb sloping field farm site with fantastic views (and exposed if windy!). There was nobody manning the somewhat chaotic looking office when we arrived so we picked our own pitch. What a shame the extremely rustic facilities were not cleaned - rustic is ok, dirty is not! The location was superb for walking - we did an afternoon walk down the lane to Towan Beach and along the beautiful coastal footpath to Porthscatho. We felt this campsite was very expensive for rudimentary facilities.

Just spent a great week at Treloan with two children under five. We had no problem getting a site for our 8-man tent with EHU. Main bonus was number of other families with young kids happy to get together and play on site. The owner called for the children every morning and afternoon to help feed the pigs and chickens.
Site spacious but slightly sloping, and can be very windy - need to pitch carefully and peg down well!
Facilities basic but fine - clean while we were there, and plenty of hot water. There's a family washroom near reception with toilet, shower and sink in one large lockable room together - handy for the little ones.
Small village playground just up the lane - swings and wooden climbing frame with slide.
Lovely walks on the coastal path and across the fields into Portscatho. Great beaches. Shop in Portscatho sells everything and open 7am to 7pm.
Local pub very child friendly - couple of highchairs, children's portions etc. If you're lucky enough to get a babysitter, note that everywhere stops serving food by 9pm.

This is a wonderful campsite, the views are amazing, the welcome friendly, lovely local area and a handy spot to visit the main attractions in the area.
There is a reception office right by the main gate now, not always manned but always open and there's a little bell to ring for attention - which does arrive very quickly.
Amenities are basic but more than adequate. Maybe could do with an extra daily inspection but plenty of hot water at all times of the day and the shower cubicles are lovely and big, lots of dry space for clothes and towels.
Washing up sinks are under cover but not sure how comfortable washing up would be in the pouring rain! Plenty of hot water available and recycling bins.
The views are amazing but the site is a little exposed to the wind - if its coming off the sea then it would be prudent to pitch by the hedges planted around the site.
Hosts are very welcoming and friendly, they even moved us from the tent to one of the caravans they have for rent once the wind had our tent lying flat! Fresh eggs and veggies are available on site. Small shop with alcohol licence is about 10 mins walk away.
Locally there are lovely walks along the cliff tops and the beaches. The local pub serves lovely food, top end of pub grub prices but home cooked and fresh and tasty, along side real ales.
Really lovely and well worth a visit.
Warning - a little bit exposed if the wind is coming from the wrong direction - be prepared.

The approach to this campsite is down a single track lane past the village pub - there are very few pull-ins so attempt with care! On arrival on site there was no reception area (farm cottage / buildings are currently being refurbished). Debs, the owner, was feeding the pigs when we arrived and welcomed us after a short wait. We were basically allowed to pitch where-ever we fancied! No strict rules here about which way to pitch, etc! The view from our pitch was fantastic (once the sea mist had cleared!). To say that the toilet/shower block was rustic is probably something of an understatement! Never saw a cleaner once over the 3 days that we were there! There were 3 or 4 sinks for washing up, housed undercover as part of the toilet block, and a chemical disposal point close by. Other than that, just basic farm camping. We were told when we booked that we could have a hard base - never saw one hard base / hardstanding on the whole site???? The local pub (The Royal Standard in Gerrans) serves lovely food (not cheap) and is very doggie friendly. There is another pub a short (but steep!) walk down the hill into the next village of Portscatho (The Plume of Feathers). Another doggie friendly pub also serving food (we didn't eat there this time but have done in the past and it was good - especially Sunday roasts!). Cornish Rattler (cloudy local cider) was served here (bonus!). There is also a local village store in Portscatho selling daily newspapers and a large range of other essentials. Not overpriced either. The walks from the site are excellent. You can catch the coastal path directly from the site or use the small country roads (beware, the locals do not drive slowly!). We walked (down the roads) to St Anthony Head lighthouse and back along the coastal path. Some of the little coves / beaches are stunning! We had a great few days at Treloan. The weather was great (which always helps) but the campsite was a little basic for us!

The site is in a lovely position with great sea views and 5 minutes walk to secluded bays and beaches and the local village with pubs, shop etc. Pitches are spacious and the welcome warm.
Our only gripe would be the 'rustic' amenities. On our visit the site was busy and the toilets did not cope well under the pressure. Quite often there would be no water in the cisterns to flush and / or all toilets on site would be blocked. There seemed to be no regular pro-active (i.E. Post peak time) inspection by staff, leaving customers to take up the initiative to report. Not something you want to take on during your summer hols! When reported, problems were quickly addressed.
The site offers great freedom for adventuress kids to explore to their heart's content, though the heavy farm gates throughout the site can be difficult to operate.

Visited this site in July 2008. It is in a great location with a convenient pub nearby, and a lovely village within walking distance. BUT we couldn't see any of the improvements referred to by last reviewer. The loo blocks are basic which would be OK, but they are cramped & inadequate for the number of people using them in the school holiday peak period. Loos failed to flush and cold water supply erratic.
But worst aspect was the untidy state of site. Also dogs roam freely & our pitch was fouled by one. The grass is rough and the pitches slope making it an uncomfortable pitch. The new owners need to improve this site by a long way

Just spent 10 nights at this site which had changed owners 2 weeks earlier. Fantastic location a few yards from the SW Coast path with great sea views from the site. It all looks rather ramshackle as you enter the site, scaffolding round the farm house etc, but don't let that put you off. Facilities are average but shower cubicles have plenty of room in them and are a mix of the push button type of shower and electric showers in the disabled / family washrooms. We paid £14/night with no extra charges for any facilities. The owners will freeze icepacks free of charge which was a bonus as it was rather hot when we were there. Pitches are a generous size and there are plenty of animals around to keep young kids entertained. The Royal Standard pub is a couple of minutes walk from the site and does good beers / cider and has a nice enclosed garden which is great for letting the kids wander round while you enjoy the beer.Food was pretty good, too. The Plume of Feathers just down the hill in Portscatho is also good and there is a mini-market there which sells pretty much everything. There is a kid's playground just a few yards up the lane. This site was pretty quiet during the week but got busier at weekends. We had a fantastic time here though admittedly we did have brilliant weather - would definitely visit again. Our only gripes would be the cleaning of the facilities was a bit hit or miss and they could do with cutting the grass shorter.

This was our second visit to this site which is in the most wonderful location imaginable, the sea views are really spectacular. Everything is easy going with no regimentation, just come and go as you please and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.
Victor and his efficient staff do everything they can to make your stay a happy one, even offering tea or coffee on your arrival.
The local pubs are good both with excellent food and the local shops are well stocked.
At the time of our visit a wedding was in progress and all were invited to the reception, this was followed the following evening with a birthday party at the Royal Standard pub and a great time was had by all.
Thank you Victor for a great Holiday.
