Stayed on this site now 4 times in a tent, pod and touring caravan with friends and family. Lovely site toilet block really clean and warm. Club house has some good entertainment and prices not bad. Not used pool. Wooler is a lovely little village with everything from a co op to places too eat, really recommend the Italian friendly staff and lovely food and not badly priced. Definitely going back again this year. Only thing which isn't a big deal could do with a bigger shop but only 5 minutes from shops.

Riverside is set in a beautiful location where you wake up to look at fields and hills! There is slight noise from the road that runs along side the site but the scenery makes up for it. I stayed there with my 3 boys and my friend with her 3 boys. We didn't use the club house or swimming pool that is there as the kids were happy to play on the grass and in the park. There is a river that runs through the site and the children enjoyed collecting sticks and throwing them in. The toilet facilities are going through refurbishment at the minute but there was no inconvenience due to it. There are 3 showers in the women's block and 3 toilets, they were also extremely warm. There is a block for washing up which also has washing machines and tumble dryers! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this site.

I found this place very expensive, £22 1 person in a motorhome. Pitches were very small.
The shower block was more like a public toilets, for what they charge they really need to upgrade.
Saying that there's a pool if you have kids, and its 5min walk into wooler plenty of shops, pubs etc. Also the camping ground is right in the middle of where the tourers are, can get noisy, also constant road noise from A967.
Would not be so bad if it were not so pricey. They need to drop the price or at least upgrade the toilet block.
On the plus side if you have a dog (which is £3 extra!) there is a excellent walking field just over the bridge !

This is the first time I've been to this site since I was a child. I love it!
the ground is nice and level most pitches are large but worth checking the size before you book as not all are generous if you have a large tent,
the toilet block is not huge for the amount of campers but clean and even though it was bank holiday it didn't seem too busy for showers.
The staff are friendly and helpful, some lovely walks around the surrounding area just outside of the village with stunning scenery,
the village isnt large but I think most needs are catered for with the shops etc and the pubs, I think there is about 6 pubs all lovely and welcoming and dogs are allowed in too, which is great for our summer weather.
The club is a short walk from the site and the entertainment was good something for everyone. We ate in there one night too and it was delicious.
It could be a bit rowdy late on when club closes but there is security patrolling the site to keep things under control. Cant comment on playgrounds they looked great but with teenagers we never frequented them.

Just returned from a four night break from this campsite. A group of five families went the pitch sizes were ok, but not great.
There was only four toilets and three showers in the ladies which was not enough for the amount of tents and tourers. There was a small shop that sold basic items.
There was a nice big playarea but it was a good ten to fifteen minutes walk up through the static caravans. The club house and swimming pool are across a very busy road. The staff in the pool area are friendly and polite more than can be said for the management and security guards.
Wooler is a only a couple of minutes car journey way, with a few shops and takeaways.
We had a lot of rain and the camping and touring area was a horrendous. One tent was flooded out and the occupants asked to be moved or help with drying sleeping bags etc. They were told if the didn't like it to pack up and go.
Everyone we spoke to said they would never use this campsite again.

An excellent site located a couple of minutes walk from all the amenities of Wooler. Camping pitches are numbered and designated, allowing plenty of room, the site is nice and flat and kept in good condition.
Wooler itself is an attractive small town with several friendly pubs, shops cafes, a good Chinese take-away and fish & chip shop. It's an excellent base for exploring the Cheviot hills and the stunning Northumberland coast.
On site facilities are good, showers and toilets clean and well maintained, though at busy times there can be a bit of a queue and some more showers etc would be a good idea.
The site has it's own clubhouse and bar with food and family entertainment, located just over the road, so easily accessible but causing no noise or disturbance.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of September and had a great time, lots to see and do within the surrounding area.
The site itself is spacious with a great clubhouse, food and drink were both very reasonably priced and the swimming pool was an added bonus. Toilets and showers were dated but usable.
The only down side was the noise. We were told when we booked in that they had a pretty strict policy regarding late night noise and a security warden made sure that this was enforced. I don't know where he was patrolling while we were there but it certainly wasn't the Riverside Holiday Park as one night there was a lot of noise until 2 am. The site is also next to a major road and there is a fair amount of traffic noise.

Just back from 2 nights on this site. Facilities for the price paid £24 per night for 2 adults and 2 kids in a tent were very good. Swimming pool was an added bonus due to the v bad weather, also kids entertainment thrown in too was great. On these site with these 'free' facilities they normally ear their money back by 'overcharging' in the bar and for food. However this was a breath of fresh air, as prices were very reasonable. 2 x pints of lager and 2 kids juices £5.10. Jumbo Hot dogs & burgers only £1.50 main meals £5.95.All in all very good value.Nice not to get ripped off whilst kids are being entertained of an evening, especially with the really bad weather outside.
Toilets we a bit dated, however no queues, clean and adequate(for campers). Shop was reasonably priced also and well stocked. Great playpark for the kids (the larger 1 of the 2). Staff all very pleasant. And when things not going right, thy all seemed to really care and tried to put it right.Which they did.
All in all a very pleasant holiday.Apart from the noisy road traffic. However we were the tent closest to the road. Kids loved it and want to go back.Which we will

Visited this site the bank holiday weekend and stayed for 3 nights. We were a group of 13 and had 4 pitches with electric hook up. The pitches were not the biggest and tents were pitched close together so guide ropes were a tripping hazard.
It had a laid back atmosphere and was quite noisy at times but that didn't bother us.
The toilet and shower blocks were not the greatest only had 3 showers and 3 sinks so there was always queues. Only had 2 toilet cubicles in mens toilets so again there was always a wait.
The clubhouse was great and reasonably priced.
Wooler town only a 10 minute walk away with a few shops, pubs and takeaways.
Overall a good site but could be better with bigger more modern toilet/shower blocks.

This is a lovely site well placed for borders. The town of Wooler is 5min walk and has a good array of shops and pubs. The Anchor in particular serves good food.
The only problems with this site are the dirty toilet block and the noise.
We stayed two nights and on each night there was shouting and music till well after three in the morning.
We wouldn't visit this site again because of the noise it really is a big problem on this site.
