We had a lovely time at Riverside. The pitches are great and there is plenty of room for youngsters to play with a great park for the children and plenty of grass to play on.
The site is an easy walk into Wooler where there is plenty to do and there are good walks, suitable for little (or old) legs.
3 downsides: the pool, kids club and bar are all across a busy road which means it's not that accessible. The addition of a zebra crossing would be a valuable addition.
There are a lot of park homes and no restrictions on times for coming and going which could make it noisy quite late into the evening. In addition with no speed restrictions some people drive quite quickly on roads where kids are riding around and playing. A separate cycle/walking route would improve this massively.
Finally, the wash up and shower facilities, whilst adequate, could do with a refresh. The showers are quite small when you have children with you.

The site is well kept and good value. The pool is small but fine for us and warm.
They have a nice cafe that does ice-cream milkshakes and you can use a machine that can produce fresh milk and flavoured milk/milkshakes, which the kids love, but this machine was not working when we tried it, kept leaking and breaking down.
The club house is great and they have good entertainment on during the day and evening for kids. Food is good. Amusement arcade is okay but small. There are 3 good play parks.
Nice little river running though. We never even made it into Wooler. I think there will also be some nice walks to go on but we did not get round to this either.
The road is busy that cuts through between the caravans and the facilities but it is fine with caution.
We will definitely return to Riverside, it was our first trip out and we were happy with it.

Nice and relaxing!
Facilities in need of a rather desperate upgrade!
Hook ups and water points are in convenient locations. Waste points not too far away, albeit the most basic of facilities.
Stunning scenery, lovely walks and great food available no too far away!

We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend. While it was busy, the site and facilities were never crowded.
Staff on site welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
Pool and hot tub are nice and good for kids. Entertainment and bar are fine - good for kids, but better pubs in the village.
All in all, worth a visit.

The toilet block looked terrible the hair dryer had exposed live mains, the shower block drain cover was not fixed the windows were smashed.
The facilities was always dirty. There are no seats in the shower cubicles. The shower push button lasts about 5 seconds so you had to constantly push it and struggle to wash yourself.
I got the distinct feeling that the touring section was purposely run down to emphasise more on the static side. I felt less clean using the shower than not.
The 20 pound per night would be good if it was a 4 star but I honestly cannot see how on this planet it got that 2 star is more like it. The toilet emptying facilities were ridiculous a steep concrete slope with a unfixed tap the sprayed everywhere but where you needed it.
As the slope was so awkward people were spilling human excrement all down the concrete. And remained that way for days.
We were only one of a few there so I really cannot imagine how bad it would be in high season.
Oh and if your going to clear leaves up from around the site how about not at 8am and actually pick them up rather than blow them to one side every morning to have them blow back by the evening.

Great site for Children two parks and small stream running through the site
Great club house with kids disco with violet and vinnie characters at 6:30 every evening
Also a small amusement room and small swimming pool. Need to book a slot for the pool
Our pitch was large but some pitches were very small
Downside is toilet block showers are the smallest I’ve ever been in with push button lasting 10 seconds only
Saying this I would still return

A lovely quiet site. Bliss!
Site has a large number of statics and quite a few touring pitches. The pitches are a little on the small side and rather crammed together.
Facilities are very tired and could do with being renovated, especially the showers.
The club house is a pleasant stroll away, food is OK, staff are very friendly and wecoming.
The positives outway the negatives, that is why we'll be back

Nice site well placed for visiting Wooler, the Cheviots and Northumberland coast.
Nice welcome from site reception staff. Plenty facilities but toilets not clean.
Pool is nice enough. Amusements and entertainment for kids was fine, but food and service in the bar poor.

Not really geared to Tourers (no grey water drain) but a lovely setting by the river and a lovely town.
Pitch occupied when we arrived so put on alternative.
Shower block needs total refurb or pulling down and rebuilt, push-button showers last 5 seconds, showers mouldy/ toilets in a mess/ no toilet paper one morning.
We won’t be returning.

We used this site as a 2 night stopover on our way to Scotland
The staff are friendly and helpful. we booked a hardstanding pitch very disappointed the ground is just rubble very tough on the tyres and the units are to close.
It's near a main road but not to noisy
The food from the on site takeaway was very nice bit pricey
Don't think we will stop here again
