We had an 8 night stay and what a lovely site. The wardens couldn't have been more friendly and an early entry was allowed which was a bonus.
Lovely walks for dogs and our van was situated on the front next to the fishing lake which suited my husband who is a keen fisherman. Plenty of big fish to be caught. Everything is clean and tidy and well kept and Ken the warden is always busy tidying round. This was our first visit and we will definitely be going back for a second.

Just spend two really nice nights here.Site was very busy however warden was really nice, showed us where there were three pitches available then let us choose which one we wanted and assisted us in!
Toilet block nice music, hot water say no more.
Husband did a spot of fishing and advise from others and wardens most helpful. With it being adult only nice and peaceful. Butcher calls on site Fri and Sat night and a fish and chip van on Sat.
We have already booked to come back would really recommend to anyone looking for friendly relaxed clean well kept site

Just spent 2 nights over the weekend at this site. Pitch was hard standing and level. Toilet block was extremely clean and tidy with piped music and free hot showers. Adult only, so lovely and quiet if that is what you are looking for. Butchers van visits site Friday and Saturday night and also mobile fish and chip van on saturday at about 7.15p.M. You can order papers from reception day before if required. There is also a fishing lake, my husband caught a 7lb carp, so we will definitely be returning in the future. No motorhome waste disposal at the moment, but I spoke to warden who informed me that this was something they were looking into and should be installed shortly. A few sited tourer but the whole site was very friendly and welcoming. Very near to large shopping outlet with a large tesco, macdonalds etc. Well worth a visit, for motorhome owners also no barrier so you can park in the car park! At £30 for 2 nights and £3.00 per person a day fishing excellent value and we will be returning shortly.

Just got back from a brilliant weekend at Moorside. The pitches are level on both grass and hard standing. The fishing pond is a good size and was stocked up today (Sun). The facilities are of a very high standard.Well done to the wardens they work really hard. Every one was so friendly and made you feel very welcome. Cant fault any thing about this site Cant wait to go back.

Visited this site last weekend, lovely clean site, Adults only and very dog friendly. Good clean washing up area and recycling point. The showers are lovely and hot and free. Separate cubicles for washing. The toilets and showers were immaculate. The new wardens for this year Kim and Ken are really nice and helpful It was our first time with our caravan and we couldn't have managed without their advice. Well worth a visit.

Have stayed at this site now more than once. We go for the fishing both on site and at the very good local fisheries, Willows, Carp-vale and Poppleton which are only a short drive away. The shower and toilet block are very clean indeed, no shop or bar on site which in my opinion would make this site perfect but a short drive into the village brings you to a tesco and a very friendly pub called the half moon. There is also a chippy and other takeaways. And for you golfers it is next to the local golf course. Will be going back twice this year, may and september.

A very clean well kept site. Adults only, nice fishing pond but no shop or pub on site. Just had a weekend here with my father in law to relax and unwind. My only gripe is that at 20:30 on Saturday night we had the CD player on, loudish but not what I would call extremely loud. The warden came over and told us in a 'not so friendly way' that loud music would not be tolerated. As I said, it was only half past eight, and if she had come in a polite manner and asked us to turn it down then everything would have been ok. With this in mind I will not be returning to the site.

July 2005 Just come back had a wonderfull time very relaxing and fishing was good. Will go back shower's and toilets very clean. Site is very well maintained the warden's are very friendly and helpful. Five minutes in to park and ride to go in to York easier and cheaper. No shop on site but you can order day before, a butcher comes round on a Friday and Saturday in a van, a chippy van comes round on a Saturday very nice
