This was the first site we had ever used as total virgins of camping or caravanning and, looking back, it sets a high standard which we have yet to see elsewhere.
The pitches are spacious and the division of the site into smaller areas with hedging makes for a cosy feel. In addition, the toilet and shower facilities are extremely well maintained and even though there can be a queue for these on occasion it didn't detract from our stay.
We would therefore highly recommend it for all the reasons already stated by other reviewers and will have no hesitation in re-booking later this year.

Clean, well spaced pitches, two shower blocks, two washers/dryers, very well maintained, sensible cleaning times (1.30pm for the main block), very friendly staff. Bins in each 'pod' and emptied daily. Two play areas for kids. Hardstanding was on light gravel so no big lumps underfoot and drained well. Pitches were really spacious. No charge for accessing parent and child room. Well stocked shop. Access to site easy and site was well located for access to loads of great places, Seaton, Sidmouth, Charmouth, Jurassic coast. One slight niggle, there were queues for the showers daily. With a site of this size, another shower block would be useful especially during peak holiday period. If the layout was rearranged you would get another two showers in there with not much hassle. Would definitely return to this site.

We have just got back from a lovely week at this camp site. We stayed in the Safari tent - amazing! It had everything you needed and having a young child it was perfect & made things allot easier.
On arrival the staff in reception where very friendly and nice :)
The toilets, showers, dish washing area & laundry all so spotlessly clean!
Our tent location was perfect as we was right next door to the playground so my son just thought he had a massive garden for a wk!
The location was perfect for the beach, Tesco supermarket is only a 10 min drive away, the walking was superb we had some lovely days out we hired a map from reception on 1 of the days and we walked to Lyme regis so the next day we bought a map and did our own thing.
Fish & chips on site is also a great idea it saved the washing up & cooking for the evening.
I would definitely return to this site 10 out of 10

Absolutely excellent facilities mark this site out as something special - even for a camping and caravan club site. The toilets and showers are spotless and several toilets have their own basin in the cubical. The site is near the wonderful Anchor pub at Seatown which does excellent food and is right on the beach. Lyme Regis is nearby for local shopping (who needs a supermarket when there are good local shops). We visited Pecorama at Beer and can recommend it - the model railway layouts are superb.
There is one downside to the site, the noise from the road which is intrusive and makes a county site feel like you are in a city. There is plenty of space so just ask for a pitch away from the road. In all we thoroughly recommend the site.

This was our 1st club site visit which had been recommended to us, booked on the family deal as there was 5 of us which we thought was reasonable compared to other private site had quoted in the area. We were greeted by friendly staff who helped us as well as showing us to our pitch. We had a nice pitch with hardstanding the water point / elsan point were all near by.
There was a shop on site were you could get your basic needs, they also sold local produce as well. There are 2 play areas on site, 1 small area to suit kids 3 to 5, my kids ( 6, 9, 13 ) all played up the big park area where it kept them entertained all holiday with kids of there own age. The toilet & shower blocks were well maintained with plenty of hot water.
Te closest town was Axminster which was small and narrow, not modern at all, the only modern place was Tescos near the train station. Bridport was a big town with a high street and a big Morrisions, this is around 8 miles from the site. I recommend you go there as there are other useful shops as well as a street market. We visited Lyme Regis a few times and took advantage of the park and ride near to the site. It was a lot cheaper than trying to park your car in the town and it also dropped you down in front of the beach ( big steep hill ). Charmouth & Seatown have not much to offer in my opinion. We also had a day out at Weymouth which was a good family day out.
The only gripe we had that there was not a local pub where we could go and have a meal without driving. We enjoyed our stay and were surrounded by good weather friendly / helpful nice people. We have all ready booked to go again next year. Would recommend to young families.

Booked this through ClubRez whilst at another site, as we decided to extend our holiday and go to the coast! booked to arrive friday of a bank holiday weekend and it was very, very busy! But the wardens were still friendly, polite and helpful we didn't have any chocks so they sorted some out for us! We asked to be near the play area and were a little concerned that although the play area was right behind us and we could still hear the kids we couldn't actually see them! Turned out not to be too bad a problem but we do prefer to keep an eye on them! (for the record there are no pitches that overlook the park!) nice clean facilities although the showers were dirty in the morning (there was a mop for people to mop out after themselves which I did, but it would appear a lot of people obviously didn't! Maybe this was because of the lack of a sign?) The site shop is handy and stocks all necessary essentials, failing that the Tesco's in Axminster! We took part in the car treasure hunt (in aid of a local charity) which we thoroughly enjoyed didn't get all the answers right but we didn't do to badly! Highly recommend the treasure hunt fills a rainy day if nothing else and gives your brain a workout wilst seeing the local area at the same time! Would like to see more of these at sites! Found loads of fossils at Charmouth Beach, look for the grey flattish stones as we spent a whole afternoon cracking open the wrong type!

We have just returned after 10 days on this site,
It was larger than we had expected, but it was fabulous. The main shower block was the best I have ever seen. The site in general was well kept and the staff very helpful and informative.
We were in one of the paddock areas, which are well protected from the elements and very quiet, I wouldn`t have been happy to be on the tent camp site as it was beside a main road with very little protection.
The location is fantastic 5 mins from both Lyme Regis, Axminster and Charmouth, only downside no local pub, with a supermarket in Axminster.
All in all a great site we will highly recommend.

We went to the Charmouth Camping and Caravanning site during the August Bank Holiday and we had a good time.
The site itself is well laid out, spacious pitches and the staff were also helpful. When we had a problem with our electrical hookup when we arrived, it was sorted out straight away.
Our only slight criticism was due to the wet weather, the toilet and shower block was slightly messy due to the kids running in and out. To be fair the wardens do close the toilet and shower block for 2 hours a day for cleaning, but the floor could have been cleaned a bit more often.
The other criticism we have are the dog walking areas. Our dog had to be kept on a lead in both areas and there was nowhere for him to run around.
Apart from that we had enjoyed our stay and we'll be visiting outside of bank holidays.

An excellent site, very spacious, two great play areas for children. We had an all weather site, a chalk base with stones on top. Fortunately we didn't get chance to try it in wet weather. You will need a mallet to put your pegs in, that being said the groundsheet felt warmer and when we took the tent down is was dry underneath. I would certainly recommend using an all weather pitch. Try pitch no's 47, 48, 58 or 59 they are in a smaller field with a nice grassy space for children to play. Excellent toilet / shower / laundry block. We'll be back next year.

This has to be one of the best sites I have stayed at. The staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. The site is well kept and the toilet block is spotless. I have stayed there twice, this time they had a bigger shop with a good range of products. Also it has wi-fi,you can purchase wi-fi cards at their shop
I would recommend this site to everyone couples or families.
Lots to see and do in the area.
