Last minute booking Mid June. Found site easily after going through Perranporth and following the directions on the camp's website. Last bit of the drive is a bit narrow but there are passing places.
We did have trouble finding a perfectly level pitch, but I suppose this isn't the sort of site where you are going to have everything you want and by levelling it you will spoil it's natural charm. The tent only field looks perfectly flat.
Showers & toilets perfectly fine. A little bit dated but clean and tidy and actually quite roomy compared to some sites we've been to on our Motorhome tour. There is one very large toilet cubicle and the showers have both a curtain and a door - plenty of room to get changed. Fresh flowers and hand soap in the ladies.
Dog walk - just go out the gate and up onto the old aerodrome and there is so much space to walk the dogs, ours loved it!
To sum up - laid back site, I really liked it but my husband didn't. I do think it's more of a tenters site than motorhomes/caravans. Chilled atmosphere and very good value for money (£13. 50 a night in June in Cornwall is amazing!)
I would definitely come back and would recommend to those who want a peaceful location to camp but to be within close proximity to other North Cornwall coastal resorts.

This was our first time to this site and we would certainly use it again. Gary and Lou were very welcoming and helpful. The site is well kept and the toilet & shower block was very clean with fresh flowers in.
For ourselves the only drawback was the lack of a family shower as we had a 1 year old with us but this was easily over come as there were no queues at the shower block anyway. The site has electric for those that wish to use it which never failed.
After a month of heavy rain the fields were lovely and dry. Although when we stayed it was out of season, the price was very good value as is the tariff for when it is high season.
Being dog owners this can sometimes be problematic, but not at this site and there are fields and cliff tops for walking the dogs.
The site is only about 200m from the cliff tops offering spectacular views of the local coast line and the beach at St Agnes is wonderful and it is sheltered with some nice well priced cafes. It may not be the largest of beaches but it is very clean and has a very reasonable priced car park, unlike many of the beaches in Cornwall. The beach is dog friendly which again is unlike many of the beaches in Cornwall.
We would certainly recommend this campsite to anyone.

As regulars to this site, my partner and I thought we'd make the most of the current good weather and visited Blue Hills twice in two weeks! As normal, Lou and Gary made us feel welcome and we were impressed with the recent modifications they've made around the facilities. There is always hot water for washing and showers as well as for washing up. You have the use of plenty of free freezer and fridge commodities as well as microwave. Tokens can be obtained from Lou and/or Gary for the washing machine and tumble dryer. The site is kept clean and tidy and Lou has worked hard with laying out the flower beds. Next to the site is a lovely part of the coastal path from where you can sit and watch the sun set. It's also a good area to walk the dog. Situated between Perranporth and St Agnes, this is the ideal base for campers with tents, camperhomes and caravans. There isn't anywhere specific for children, however those that do attend with their families seem to enjoy the space in which they can play safely. The tariffs are good too (£9 per night for a tent). As most of their visitors are regulars, I think that speaks for itself.

Just returned from a 2 week stay. The toilet block at first seemed small but there were very rarely queues. They were clean, and fresh flowers were a nice touch.
The owner was polite and helpful. Facilities included washing machine and a dryer, fridges, freezers and a microwave. My husband felt that the water for the showers and washing up was not hot enough.
The site is set in a lovely area with plenty of walks and beautiful scenery. Perranporth and St. Agnes are easily accessible by car (and by foot).
The only criticism I can find is that the nearest shop is on a John Fowler site that is a little too far to walk to when you need milk for breakfast! However it is just a few minutes by car.
Because there was no entertainment the site was nice and quiet.

A little site perched on the top of a hill, with views over the valley and only a 5 minute walk to the cliff walk down to a very secluded beach.
It is only a 10 minute drive to one of the busiest beaches in Cornwall with waves to get really exited about.
Although advertised as having a eatery, this was closed for the whole of our stay even though it was peak season.
With some updating to the showers etc, this would be a nice site.
A shame also the owners also kept inviting their friends around to race bikes on an adjoining field.

Brilliant campsite - met all my essential criteria - small, simple, quiet and friendly with hot showers available.
Just a few minutes from the coastal path with great walks to lovely beaches.
A good base, with Lost Gardens of heligan, minack theatre, St Ives within a 45min/1 hour drive.
Cycle hire available from the Bike Barn which is not far from the campsite (leaflets were available at the campsite) to do the 'coast to coast' cycle path.
Use the directions on the website as sat nav takes you on some very narrow roads!
I would definitely return to this excellent campsite

What a gem! It was cheap for the area to I didn't know what to expect but I was in for a treat The owners were lovely and laid back. The site was very clean.
I have never before been to a site where you were provided with washing up liquid and sponges, 2 sinks for washing up and one for clothes washing. Also a microwave and 5 fridgefreezers so you didn't have to fight for food space. As it is near the cliff the wind does get up so if in a tent make sure you are sheltered.
The coast path is a few minutes walk away, but its a shame inconsiderate dog owners had let their dogs fowl all over the path (not owner by site). Dogs on the site were all well behaved, even though I watched the wild rabbits feeding next to my tent!
There are also magazines and books you can borrow. There are 3 toilets and showers for each sex which were spotless. The owners had thought of everything and as we were not sure whether to stay another night so were told to stay as late as we wanted which is rare, normally kicked off site in the morning most places. I can not rate this site high enough for those who want a quiet basic camping experience.

We stayed here for 5 very enjoyable nights. It's a great site and well run. There is a slight slope but nothing uncomfortable. There are three toilets and three showers in the ladies and gents, these are clean and presentable. Soap for washing your hands is provided at the sink.
The showers are free and of the push button variety, the cubicles are decent sized and there are ample hooks on the door to hang your stuff. The radio playing in the toilet is a nice touch.
There are two washing up sinks and washing up liquid and sponges are provided. There are fidges and freezers and a microwave which are also free to use. Washing machine and drier are available for a small charge.
Gary and Loo are friendly and Gary made us a cuppa when we arrived, fab customer service!
Just out of the site there is a gate which leads to the coast path and the old WW2 aerodrome which is excellent for dog walking, it's huge but beware of throwing your ball near the cliff edge! :-) stunning views, especially at sunset. There are tunnels which I guess must have been look out posts for anti aircraft guns or something.
You can walk down to Trevellas beach which is stunning, but not suitable for swimming. Coming back is either uphill on the road or a mega climb up the cliff, but the views are breathtaking.
There is no shop on site or close by, but it is only 10 mins by car to either St Agnes which has a well stocked Spar and a costcutter, or you can go 10 mins the other way into Perranporth which has a much wider selection of shops and a fantastic beach. The chippy there is lovely too.
We had a Robin regularly visiting our table for bread crumbs, and we could watch buzzards from our pitch, we were also treated to the sight of a peregrine hunting too!
A fantastic site, lovely and peaceful with views of the countryside. Being close to the sea it can be windy here, it's a swirly kind of wind, but it calms down by mid morning. We will be returning again next year without a doubt. Perfect!

What a fabulous site run by friendly people. The microwave and freezer facilities make life a lot easier and there are sinks for washing up as well as a shower/toilet block which is kept clean and tidy.
Great for exploring/walking although some of the walks are not for the feint hearted. The sea is within walking distance but not suitable for those with disabilities or maybe the elderly. Kids loved being able to go crabbing from the site on their own (teenagers).
The town centre is a few miles so ideally need a car but there are plenty of shops/pubs/restaurants there for entertainment.
There is no play area but this did not detract from the site at all for the kids.

This is a lovely campsite. The location is so so quite. You can choose your own pitch, ours had its own picnic table. The facilities are kept lovely and clean, plenty of room in the shower.
The fridge and freezer were a great benefit especially to refreeze ice blocks, no extra charge. A few mins walk and you will find yourself on the coastal path, we didn't walk into St Agnes but I think it is do able without to much effort, coming back might be a different story.
I would definitely stay here again.
