We stayed here in July 2009 for 5 days. We stayed in what they call a 'Timber Tent' which are basically one room wooden huts. Much better than they sound and good for us as we did not have to take any camping gear with us. Bedding, cooking utensils etc. Are provided and there is a fridge and a hob and electric grill provided.
The owners are friendly and helpful.
The site is very nice, it is quiet and has a mill stream running through it. It is an old farmhouse/mill right out in the countryside
The washing and bathroom facilities are clean and very nice.
There is a basic swimming pool which was fine for our kids (7 & 5).
All very nice and no complaints at all.
I'd guess if you wanted a bit more entertainment or maybe had older children then this wouldn't be the site for you, but it was fine for us!

We have just returned from a week on this lovely quiet site. It is clean, tidy and well run. The owners were very helpful. Our children enjoyed the space to play, the plunge pool, the river and the hens.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area for adults and children alike. We visited Loches, Chinon and Amboise, which are all attractive towns with a chateau. Chateau de Usse was a must for the children as it is Sleeping Beauty's castle and we swam in the lake at Rille.

We have kept our caravan in storage with here for the last 3 years and are truly impressed with this site.
This is a lovely little site that is being continuously upgraded by the new owners and they are doing a great job. The new shower block is warm and clean, the washing and veg area is combined with a seating area with info and a book swap shelf. Everything is clean and tidy.
Outside they have put some hard standing areas which is good news. Also there is a small above ground pool area. As a previous reviewer has stated, many people return to this site on a regular basis, this speaks volumes for the welcome and value of the site.
There are two large supermarkets in Loche 10 mins away (a citadel town which is well worth a visit) the site is an easy drive to Tours and all the Chateauxs in that area. The little town on Ligueil has everything you want including petrol, shop, restaurants and a vet.
Give it a try on your way back home from the south of France or Spain, I bet you go back again !

We visited this site over the half term.
Its a lovely site with very pleasant owners who tried to be as helpful as possible.
It is a smallish site with many who come back regulary.
There is a small play area for the children and a splash pool which was closed when we were there.
The toilet block and washing facilities were clean. The mens have been upgraded and are nice and modern and I believe the ladies is going to be upgraded as they were a bit tired. Lots of hot water and good /clean washing up facilities.
There is a little herb garden and also a stream in the next field which my children enjoyed playing in. They have ducks and chickens in the next field also. Also a small shop.
It is near Ligeuil which is small quaint village and in a good position for nearby attractions particularly Loches - medieval town.
Would visit again if in the area.

Lovely site, friendly relaxed welcome and most helpful. We were heading back to the UK and needed to complete the Pet Passport facilities for our dogs. The Vets appointment had been made for us prior to reaching the site which was such a help. Anyone needing to use the Vets which is only a few minutes by car from the site will find it a very modern practice with its own Carpark. Many thanks Rachel for all your help, we can certainly recommend your site and wish you all the success you deserve.

Visited again this year for two overnight stays. Well cared for site with a guaranteed friendly welcome. Constantly improving the site and new shower / washing area is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Decided to leave caravan in storage and will definitely be visiting more frequently.

Very good site nicely tucked away up a small peaceful road
The owners were very helpful and made you feel very welcome
Had a small shop and swimming pool which we swam in a couple of times
Area was good lots of chateaus to see and very nice towns
Loches had a good Saturday market.
Would go back if wanted to see the area again.
Something else to note they do caravan storage from only £300 a year and its cleaned before you collect it.

Have just returned from a fantastic week at this site. The weather was scorching so the pool was a godsend to all.
Rachel and Neil run the site of behalf of Neil's parents who were staying on site too. The family are fabulous and so helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble. They made you feel very welcome and organised a bbq for everyone on site one evening whilst we were there.
The site itself is well kept, level and clean. The pitches are spacious unlike other sites we encountered on this trip. The facilities again are very good and clean. There are new men's facilities along with the existing female ones. A chest freezer is provided for the use of everyone on site in exchange for a donation towards the gardening fund. The washing up and food prep area is now inside and is cool which is very welcoming if it baking hot outside! There is a washing machine, tumble drier and two clothes lines.
Separate bins are provided for recycling glass, paper and plastic which was nice to see.
There is also a small shop on site where you can buy everyday bits and pieces. One thing I meant to ask about was whether there were any plans in the future to have a bread delivery in the mornings. Whilst Ligueil is literally only just down the road it was a bit of a faff for us to get out early for bread and croissants as we had to break camp to enable us to do so.
As mentioned by another reviewer, there is a supermarché Atac with petrol station in nearby Ligueil. There is also a bigger hypermarche E'leclerc and petrol station in Loches which isn't far from the site.
We visited the market in Loches which was huge and very busy but didn't manage to get to any others. Our children were just happy to play on the play equipment and in the pool; the weather being great was a huge bonus.
We intend to return next year but will stay longer next time.

This site is a little Jewel and so are the owners Stuart, Rachel and their family. Very French and wonderfully situated in a peaceful and pleasant setting. I am sat in the courtyard outside the little office /shop writing this review and I could be anywhere in the world. The weather is fantastic and that helps too.
Last night Rachel and Neil put on a BBQ for us all where we supplied our own meat and they did the rest. It was a great way to meet other campers.
The pitches are a very good size and there is plenty of room to spread out. There is a large plunge pool that is ample in size and good for a little swim. There are rivers to fish in, a small play area and Caravan storage facilities should you want to keep your unit in France and commute without having to tow. The shop is small but neatly stocked with essentials and proper quality ice creams that cost only 80 cents each!
The toilets/showers are spotless and there are washing facilities, a veg prep area, book loan service and of course, Wi Fi in the courtyard.
We should have moved on to another all singing/dancing site in Brittany but we are staying. For a month!
I love it here, so does my wife and so do the kids. Think I'll buy the place one day!

Nice quiet rural site with some excellent new facilities opened in 2008. The site itself is reminiscent of a good CL with plenty of space and choice of where to pitch your van, with good number of electricity and water supply points. English owners and family most helpful and you could not help but feel welcomed. Undercover and outside caravan storage, with your van cleaned to 'As New' condition when you arrive to collect it!
Site well placed for visiting lovely town of Loches with its twice weekly markets, and for touring the Loire Chateaux and towns.
