First time abroad with caravan so pleased to receive a welcoming reception from a lovely couple. Pleasant site with added bonus of a pool which kids loved. Supermarket in nearby Liguel and lots of places to visit within driving distance. Facilities were fine and to be expanded. Always very helpful, made every effort to be sociable with all visitors. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

We have just come back from a fortnight at Camping De La Touche and have had a great time. The new wardens, Rachel and Neil, were lovely and friendly and the communal bbq they organise most weekends is a great icebreaker for fellow campers to meet. Facilities are all fine, only 2 showers but they are in the process of building new washrooms and we never had to queue anyway. Site is nice and safe for children to play and there is a small swimming pool which our 2 girls loved. We visted Futuroscope (55 mins away) which was great fun, Zoo du Beauval (1hr 15) was good and nearby Loche (20 mins) is a nice medieval town with weekly markets. All in all we had a great trip here and are hoping to return next year.

We arrived at Camping de la Touche and found a warm welcome on arrival after a long journey down. We stayed in one of the 'timber tents' which was ideal for us on our first time to France as it saved taking all the tent and associated equipment, as the 'TT' had a sofa bed and 2 single beds along with 2 ring hob and oven plus all the crockery and pans. A very nice and peaceful campsite and location and a great base for getting around the area. We had a fantastic time here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay or passing through either on their way south or going home. We met some great people including the owners and we would certainly stay here again on our visits to other regions of France. As a relatively new site Stuart and Jo have done a great job and the only negative we could find was that there could have been more shower/wash and toilet facilities as sometimes you had to wait but I expect that they may add more as the site grows. That said it was a minor negative on what was a great site and in which we enjoyed a fantastic holiday.

Only stayed one night on our way down to South West France from Calais. It was quite late when we got there but this is what we thought.
- Quiet peaceful surroudings - Accessible site with good sized pitches - Lovely period features to the site - Clean communal areas
and most importantly
A super friendly welcome from the owners Stuart & Jo (and little Louis) and the other campers who had decided to have a communal BBQ that night.
We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Very warm welcome awaits you at La Touche. The site has fifteen touring pitches, but also has ‘log tents’ available for anyone without their own equipment, as well as bed and breakfast rooms which were immaculate. Everything is very well cared for, the atmosphere is friendly and the site owners, Stuart and Jo, can’t do enough for you. The shower and toilets were always clean, as was the rest of the site, and there were some very thoughtful touches throughout. A small library was available, the small fee charged going to the local school, there was a kitchen garden for use by all, which included herbs, strawberries and some vegetables, and a small area which had rotary washing lines. It was small things like this which made the site such a lovely place to be. A small shop is available on site, which sold mainly British products, as well as the usual beer and some very good local wine. There is a small play area, a barbeque area and now, I am reliably informed, a boules pitch. This has been constructed since we left a week ago. Ligueil is only five minutes away by car, fifteen minutes by pushbike. There you can find all the usual local shops (two wonderful patisseries) a butcher, a tabac, chemist etc and also a supermarket. Approximately 15 miles away you will find Loches, which is a larger town with a very good market and some lovely bars and restaurants. We spent one of the best holidays we have had at La Touche and would certainly consider going back next year.

We searched for a long time to find somewhere to spend Christmas and New Year. We finally decided on camping de la Touche. We weren’t disappointed. We were warmly welcomed on arrival with a “coffee” – once Stuart managed to get his new machine under control! Stuart & Jo couldn’t have been more friendly. Being winter it was a bit muddy but we were able to park on the hardstanding. We joined the other campers for drinks in the farmhouse on Christmas Day and Stuart arranged for Christmas dinner in a local restaurant.
We had a couple of days of sunny weather where we could sit out with a glass of wine and then the temperature fell and we had freezing nights and sunny, frosty days. The clear sky at night offers a magnificent show of stars as there is no light pollution. Despite the freezing temperatures the toilets and showers were heated and the electric hookup never failed even with our amps hungry motorhome running the heater and de humidifier on most of the time.
We walked in to the local village of Ligueil in windy and freezing conditions looking for car hire as our American motorhome is a little large for exploring the area. This proved negative however the village is delightful. We managed to hire a car in Loches 10 miles away. The weekly market in Loches on a Saturday is a must, especially being Christmas Eve it was great.
Stuart & Jo played the perfect hosts on New Years Eve with drinks and a wonderful buffet in the farmhouse. This is a great area to explore with the Loire river and plenty of Chateaux to visit. Highly recommended.

This site is beautiful, extremely clean and well cared for. The shower/toilet facilities are available 24 hours, 7 days a week and are spotlessly clean. The shop is well stocked and very reasonably priced. The pitches are very large with loads of room for car, caravan and awning plus room for tables and chairs and bbq. The electric hook ups are great (we didn’t blow anything up once, which is unusual for us!) There is a children’s play area and the pool is very near completion.
It is an ideal base for touring the beautiful Loire Valley. The town of Legueil is within walking distance with shops, bars, restaurants, banks etc Stuart and Jo, the owners of this site, are the most helpful people we have ever met and couldn’t do enough for us. We were supposed to stay for 7 days but stayed for 10 and wished we could have stayed longer. 5 stars from us. We would recommend Camping De La Touché to everyone. If you are travelling to France pay Stuart and Jo a visit, you won’t be disappointed. We fell in love with this site and can’t wait to go back, it is excellent.

We stayed at this site at the end of September 05. Booked into one of the new timber cabins (or timber "tents"). There are about 5 brand new cabins, the one we stayed in was very well equipped with really comfy double bed, sofa bed, fridge, small oven and cooker, electric supply, storage etc. The cabin was really spacious and perfect for our needs - much better than other cabins we have stayed in before.
The owners Jo and Stuart are really friendly and helpful. The campsite itself was quiet and pretty, within a couple of minutes drive to a small village with a couple shops and restaurants or 10 miles from a bigger town. Would definitely recommend as a good base for exploring the surrounding area.

A lovely, friendly and quiet site which has very clean facilities and is very spacious. Our 4 kids were delighted to have loads of space to play in. There is a small shop and fresh bread is delivered daily. Stu and Jo went out of their way to make us welcome.

Stu,Jo and baby Louis could have not been better hosts, alawys on hand to give help and advice of things to do in the area. After 12 days we feel we have made some lovely friends and we will be back very soon.
