Stayed here for two nights. IMHO not enough showers for the site with only 4, same number of toilets.
Great for cyclists as stated in previous posts. Lovely ride on the cycle path to West Kirby.
As a club, the Caravan Club should enforce it rules. I. E Barking dogs. I am not a dog lover but neither am I a dog hater, but I don't want to listen to someones dog yap yap yapping all day !
We come for a chill out. Plus be advised some pitches back onto the small road leading to the sailing club. This can be noisy especially when the young locals use it as a race track.
Superb view of the river Dee from a small number of pitches.

Stayed at this park 3 times now so obviously we like it.
Nice clean park, excellent facilities, good central play area if you have young children.
Chippy van visits twice a week - always good for a night off the cooking.
There is a cycle path which runs alongside the site.
The sea can be seen from the park and access to the beach is just a few minutes walk away. West Kirby is just up the road, catch the tides right and you can walk to Hilbre Island and spot the seals.
Park and ride by train to Liverpool from Hoylake, people can't believe us wanting to visit Liverpool but it has some stunning buildings and lots of tourist attractions.
Our only complaint is the staff are not at all helpful when it comes to staying late, wish the caravan club had an option to pay to stay til 4pm or 5pm. I don't mind paying if we have to

Having told a number of colleagues 'we're off to the Wirral' 'what the hell do you want to go there for' was the answer ! but how wrong could they be !
This is an absolutely beautiful part of the world, cracking beaches.
A must for cyclists (the Wirral circular path runs right past the site - on an old railway line )
As for the site itself - its a typical Caravan Club site, well laid out, large pitches, very well maintained immaculate toilet / shower facilities and if your lucky you'll get a pitch overlooking the Dee estuary which is a view to die for.
There's a good children's play area and the wardens were friendly and efficient.
There's a fish & chip van that visits the site on Weds & Sat evenings - cooks the fish to order so very fresh and reasonably priced. The site is about 3 miles from West Kirby which has a Morrisons and a Weatherspoons (what else do you need!)
All in all a very nice site in an excellent setting which ticks our boxes so will return.

Spent the bank hol wkend here, a little breezy but the trees give plenty shelter. Nice little site. Pleasant staff.
A must for cyclist with a cycle track on your doorstep giving you some of the best views of the dee for miles. Plenty places to eat, but couldn't find the chippy in heswall, however go straight over the roundabout at cottage loaf inn and you'll find one.
Cottage loaf serves good food but service is slow. Excellent play area for kids but not for tots. Dog walkers paradise with good access to beach.

We have just stayed at this site for a few days over the bank holiday weekend, it is an excellent site with all the usual caravan club facilities and standards.
Pitches are spacious and well planned and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The views over the river Dee are spectacular

I have recently spent five days on this gale battered site, overall it is in a very nice location and the staff were very helpful. My only complaint was the horrible smell in the showers of filthy drainage gullies which smelt as if they do not bother to lift them for cleaning.
Otherwise the site was nice with beautiful views of the north wales coastline. If you are in the area a visit to port sunlight is a must,it is a fascinating place with 900 grade two listed buildings including a museum, art gallery, and the second largest war memorial in britain, all provided by courtesy of lord lever-hulme for his workers in the 19th century

Great Site, tucked away as you come to the end of the road the caravan site is to the right, Wirral Country Park to the left and the sea staight ahead.
Pitched on 27 grass with sea view but not too boggie considering the terrible rain. Lovely pine trees behind us felt like a small site due the cul-de-sac type pitches. Toilets usual clean standard but did seem to have an odd wiff constantly
Fab walks for the dogs we took the Wirral way left and walked to west Kirby then headed back on the beach. Wardens were very friendly and we will be returning ASAP Not really walking distance to a pub but perfect for chilling walking weekend.

What a find! As Caravan Club members we have stayed on several of their sites and this is the best yet. We wanted to holiday somewhere we hadn't been in the UK before.
This site is on the Dee estuary side of the Wirral with lovely views to North Wales.
Warm welcome from the wardens, choose a pitch and return to them with the number and you are given a gate fob and 2 shower block keys. Only one shower block with 4 showers each side (queued once in two weeks in middle of Summer holidays). Very clean and an abudance of hot water.
There are various areas to pitch and we came across a hardstanding pitch number 39. Not too directly open to the sea breezes but still with a view.
We walked for miles with the dogs in various directions (Site next to Wirral Way - cyclists, walkers and adjacent bridle path), and down onto the beach. Not the best beach but great for views.
Tesco in Heswall 3 miles, Morrisons in West Kirby 5 miles. Papers (to order) and basics like milk and bread available on site.
We ate at the Cottage Loaf pub (on roundabout to Station Road) 2 meals for £9.95 - good value, it does what it says on the tin. The Boathouse at Parkgate was recommended to us by two locals, lovely place to eat, great service, great fresh cooked food, views over the Estuary, ate here twice. Marigolds fish and chips in West Kirby were good as were the ones from the mobile van on site Weds/Sat 5.30pm onwards.
Plenty to do for the day around the area, Port Sunlight, Chester, Mersey ferry, Albert Docks and so much more. We went further afield to Llandudno (Victorian seaside splendour and Great Orme Head), also Crosby for Antony Gormleys Another Place via the tunnel - £1.40 each way.
Would visit again, this is the only caravan site in the area and no tents allowed.

We have stayed at this site several times as its easy for us to get to for a weekend away. Clean and tidy as you can expect from a Caravan Club site. TV reception is pretty good with an aerial and O2 signal is fine.
Wirral Country Park is nearby, and the Wirral Way is practically on the doorstep which is great for both walking and cycling. Beach is just 5 mins away and we had a lovely walk along to the beach to Heswall.
If you are looking for organic produce, Church Farm is only a short walk from the site and a Tesco & Morrisons are only a short drive away.

You know what to expect here, it is after all a Caravan club site.
A great site, really good facilities, very clean, well looked after.
The wardens were very friendly indeed. A nicely laid out site with plenty of space on each pitch. There is a mixture of soft & hardstandings which you can go and pick your own pitch.
A mobile fish & chip van turns up on site at 5PM on a Saturday, which I thought was really good.
It's in a lovely little spot on the cliffs overlooking the Dee estuary, it can get windy but there are plenty of trees around to provide shelter.
I have definitely booked to return in September.
