Stayed on this site for 2/3 nights and although it is probably lovely in nice weather with the views, etc, it was terrible weather when we went. Rain, wind, and cloudy all the time!

We paid for the whole time we were going to stay so sadly lost about £20.

We stayed in the only field available for tents, which is the first on the left as you drive in. There is not much shelter and is right on top of a hill. We were told the best place is next the phone mast as it provides shelter from the wind - but some lucky so and so had got there first! One word of warning - when it is windy the phone mast makes some horrible scary noises as it whistles though it that freaked me out, so may scare any little ones. They did help us put the tent up though as it was gale force winds! There are no lights on the actual site, and none on the nearby road as they stop shortly before reaching the farm. There is only 1 shower and 1 toilet available, they were cleaned regularily, but I can't say having a shower in a portakabin is the most pleasureable experience I've had!

It is great it being a working farm, you can give the horses a pat as you walk through to the loo.

We paid £10 a night when we went, which I didn't think was too bad, but as I said, we left early due to the dreadful weather.

The people who run the site (I believe they are doing it on behalf of the owners as they were in a static near the farmhouse), walked round everyday and made sure everyone was ok.

Would go again at a push, but the distance to the loo and shower in complete darkness through a farmyard didn't really appeal to me as I am afraid of the dark (yes even at 22!), and only one shower which isn't the best one I've used put me off a little.

The sign on the road is a little confusing as it says about it being a Caravan Club site, but they do take tents and you don't have to be a member.

We have just returned from a one night stay at Mill Farm over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend and overall we enjoyed the experience.

It cost us £15 for our pitch (no electric), which we found a little expensive considering the facilities on offer (more detail on this below). However, bear in mind it was a Bank Holiday Saturday and we had made no prior booking, and maybe the the price tag was justified.

We stayed in the overflow field as the main field was fully booked. It is called the Christmas Tree Field and one side of the field is lined with various types of pine tree. There are no set pitches, so you rock up and camp where you like. This meant we could select a corner to ourselves, affording a greater degree of privacy. There were a couple of groups of young families and other adults camping alongside us.

The overflow field had three portaloos and bins, but it was a 5 minute walk past a huge pile of horse manure to the one shower available to the entire site. Despite our concerns about queuing, I was only waiting 5-10 minutes for the shower in the morning. It was clean and large, with plenty of room and pegs to hang clothes and towels etc.

It was nice to stay on such a picturesque working farm. It was very peaceful and the location (only 5 minutes drive from Wells) was superb. I would visit again.

What a pleasant, peaceful site. Just had the 3 nights, me & the wife + hook up. £36. Ok there was only one shower + 2 toilets but it was no big deal. You just fit in. The hook up is a 3 pin plug & the warden lent us an adaptor onto the standard connection.

For a no frills camp site we'd certainly recommend it.Clean, friendly, reasonably priced.

Going back in August, so we weren't disappointed

Very quiet site with only one toilet and one shower (although we never had to wait) staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to wells town and harbour. Only grumble there was a lot of rats on the site in the area near us and the bins were full! There was no lighting at night until you had walked through the stable area then floodlights came on near toilet. Thought it was very expensive for what you got @ 17.50 night with electric hook up!

My wife & I spent 11 most enjoyable nights at this site. The location is just 15 minutes walk from town and 30 minutes from the sea. The site is flat & drains well although we had good weather. There is a lovely view looking out to sea. There is only 1 toilet & 1 shower but this never seemed to be a problem but could be if the site was busy. The owner was very helpful & friendly. There's a stable at the farm & lots of visiting horses too.

Would go there again.

We've just got back from spending the bank holiday weekend here and despite other comments about the toilet/shower facilities we rarely queued despite the site being full. The owners were really friendly and took the time to check that we were ok not only on arrival but also throughout our stay.

The site is a really short walk from the Ark Royal pub (excellent food, beer and service) and quite a pleasant one too across the fields at night. Certainly not as far as Pinewoods!

Our children loved seeing the horses close at hand - our son adopted 'Batman' as his new best friend!

All in all a great site and we'll definitely be returning.

The site is on a working farm, which delighted out 2 year old grandaughter, it is small and very quiet, we were made to feel very welcome on arrival.

The town is within walking distance and has a good choice of shops and amusements, we did make use of the roadtrain for the trip back from the beach to the town.

There is only one shower and toilet but they had erected a mobiloo as well, very clean.

Will be going back

Nice quite little site, well kept with excellent views, within walking distance to town and beach.

Owners very friendly and helpful.

Only problems we encountered was ONLY 1 toilet and 1 shower, which were kept very clean, but with 50+ people the weekend we stayed we had to queue for both, and consequently the toilet couldn't cope.

Also had to share them with horse people who kept their horses there.

Pitch was very bumpy and hard, and difficult to find a flat spot for our large tent.

There was a large area for vans were we could also kick a ball about, pity we couldn't set up there as it looked a lot flatter.

Cheap enough for £10 a night, and very relaxing surroundings.

The site is part of a working farm and livery for horses. The site itself was nice and quiet, the views of the marshes and beaches were lovely.

There are 2 separate areas one for tents and one for motor homes. Both with hook up.

Owners very friendly.

There is one toilet and shower which are located in the middle of the farm area - kept very clean.

Small friendly site. May queue for facilities in peak times.

3 minute walk to town centre were there are various eating places and shops. Wells-next-the-Sea is a lovely place to visit.
