We picked this site as a one night stop-over whilst traveling to the south coast for it's location close to the M6 motorway. The site was not well signposted as we had to follow signs for the farm and ice cream shop. Arriving at the site, signage again was very poor as there are no indications where to park for reception. The pitch size was very good and £12 for the night including electric hook-up was good. The toilet / washroom facilities were dire. Combined male / female facilities with two hand wash basins which were almost unusable due the water heater above. The toilets would not flush as there was no water supply to the cisterns and it was impossible to find anyone on site to remedy the problem. The shower would not work as water came out on the first press of the button but nothing after. We are so glad we only booked this site for 1 night as would have moved on had we booked for longer. Needless to say, we can not recommend this site.

Stayed at this site for 3 nights. Pitches are a good size. Toilets and showers are very clean. The tea room is lovely selling their own ice cream (which is yummy). The owners are so welcoming. There is lots of animals on the farm, great for children. There is a shop that is within walking distance from the site and butchers. Stafford castle is about 2 mile from the site and stafford town centre. Cant wait to go back. Fantastic site.

Great site with easy access from motorway and local roads. Very friendly staff most helpful.
Site was about half full and nice and quiet.
Facilities were good though we do use the caravan for most ablutions.
Great ice cream brought 3 packs home. The
Local town is very picturesque having won the best kept large village two years on the trot. The bell pub doesn't take dogs the other does.
Would recommend highly and use again.

We recently visited The Red Lion Farm after reading reviews for somewhere local to us for our first trip in our new caravan. We weren't disappointed. The ducks roamed around the pitches during the day and it was lovely to see the other animals. One of the sheep insisted we gave him plenty of attention every time we walked past the enclosure! Friendly staff and friendly animals! The tea room is fabulous. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The homemade cakes are a must and we also recommend the cheese and bacon oatcakes. The shop is well equipped with lots of gifts as well. The cheese and homemade ice cream are worth a tasting too. The toilets/showers are warm and clean and although unisex, this wasn't a problem for us as they are individual cubicles. The site itself is in lovely rural surroundings and easy to get to. We are definitely returning in the future.

Stayed for a weekend this april and were quite pleased.
Upsides- the site is a pleasant working farm with a shop and tearooms to attract visitors and some fowl wandering the site, didn't see the sheep though !there are sheep and woolly cattle in fields adjoining our caravan field. Toilets and showers are good & free & hot if you don't mind the mens/ladies all being in the same room. At £12 a night its very reasonable and what staff I met were very friendly.
Downsides, there are 2 caravan fields the one we were on is grass one side and a large turning/'hardstanding' the other, which I was informed was made up of old M6 scrapings-while there was nothing wrong with this it did remind me of being pitched on a car park, a bit of grass between the pitchs would make it look so much better. The other thing I didn't like was the elson points were open large bore pipes and our side was blocked so the 'contents' were floating on the top, it wouldn't take much to cover this to stop kids throwing the M6 down it ;0)
Oh and apparently the owner is a stickler for you parking your unit smack in the middle of the number allocated.
but all in all a nice site and very reasonable

We had a very happy week here, in what was pretty wet weather for the last week in August.
Whilst I agree it's a bit of a mishmash - working farm/tea room, and pens with alpaca, sheep, cows and ponies, as well as a lovely pen with rabbits and guinea pigs - open to the public and a camp site thrown in (there was a large marquis installed when we visited but not sure what that was for) - it's actually very quaint.
We had one sheep which roamed the site - self ambulating lawn mowing I think was it's purpose - which rather took to us and slept by the side of our caravan - this did mean you had to be a bit vigilant for sheep poo but at the end of the day it's a working farm and what's a bit of animal poo between friends? Just watch where you are walking!
The owners were were really friendly - you bump in to them as they feed the animals or move then from pen to pen.
The tea shop is also lovely, selling local produce, home made cakes, their own milk, fabulous cheddar cheese, and their own brand of ice cream which was pretty lovely (and we live in Devon so have a good knowledge of good ice cream!)- If the shop had opened before 10 am, we would have used it for breakfast - they also do a meal of Staffordshire Oatcakes, bacon and cheese and any Stokies who read this will know that meal and no mistake.
The toilet/shower facilities are shared with the public yes BUT - the shop doesn't open until 10 am and closes at 5 pm so you are hardly bothered by members of the public whilst you shower in the morning or evening. And as for unisex toilet facilities we prefer this as it means either my husband or I can supervise children who need a shower so it doesn't all fall to me!
The site is dog friendly but there's no dog run - the lane is very busy and I wouldn't advise you walk their either but about 2 miles down the road heading toward Stafford is Stafford Castle which is a great place to run the dogs.
There were two pubs in the village and we met up with family for a meal in one of them - the Shropshire Inn and we had a really delicious gastropub kind of meal for a really silly price of around £10 for 2 courses in the evening. Well worth a visit.
There was in our opinion nothing wrong with this site whatsoever and we liked the quirkiness and happily recommend it.

What’s this site trying to be:- a working farm / tea room / CCL site or commercial camping site?
The site is a working dairy farm, with associated tea rooms selling dairy produce and iced cream. The camping site is spread over the two areas; one adjoins the farm/tea room on a flat grassed field, the other on a tarmac planning/grassed area adjoining the access road into the farm. The site has 30 pitches in total.
The advertised ‘new toilet’ facilities for the 30 unit camping site comprise one room for both male and female use. The toilet/facilities room has only shared 4 WC cubicles and 2 showers for the entire site! The same room houses the only washing up sink (1 sink!) for the site, and acts as the site laundry room plus information centre. These limited facilities are also used by the visitors to ‘tea rooms’ on the farm site. Lovely!
The only positive thing is the low site rates at £ 12.00/night with electric. Personally I would prefer to pay more and have the facilities you would expect on a 30 pitch camping site. Would not recommend this site and will not be returning.

What a great site this could be if you don't mind the open top chemical waste point, which was over flowing when we stayed and I presumed this also doubled as the grey waste point.
The unisex showers and toilets are new and modern but are also shared with the general public who use the on site cafe.
There are 2 local pubs and general store in the village a short walk from site.
Royal Air Force Museum Cosford is well worth a visit something of interest for all age groups
No Entrance Fee you only pay for parking £3. 50 for all day.
Stafford good for shopping and also had a very good children play area.

Lovely Site for £9.00 a night its excellent value for money, lovely tea rooms and facilities for the kids with all the animals, the only downfall is that we were placed behind the amenities block which is a bit of an eye sore, your only view is a big building in front of you! Take extra money with you to purchase the beautiful ice cream, the tea rooms are excellent with a little gift shop which is fabulous, we really enjoyed this site and are returning again in a few weeks, the chocolate fudge cake was to die for!

We used this site as a base for the V Festival which is about 20 minute drive away. Cannot fault it ! Clean modern facilities (unisex), level spacious pitches, lovely tea room and all for £9 a night (including electric hook up).
Ice cream is made on site which can be purchased from the tea room. The children loved the animals; Rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, sheep, horses and alpacca.
There is a pub and general store in the village which is 5 minute walk.
An excellent site. Highly recommended.
