A level site with big pitches and well cut grass, the electric hookup worked well and had enough power for a motorhome. It was nearly full when we arrived with about forty caravans and motorhomes and we had trouble accessing the available pitches because the car park for the ice cream parlour & shop was full and it was in front of the pitches.
There were no signs to indicate where the reception was, so we enquired at the shop and found out that that was the reception. We were given no information as to where the available sites were or where the facilities were sited.
We found there was only one toilet and shower, both of which were in the same room, so if anybody took a shower nobody could use the toilet. This toilet, although kept clean, was also shared by the customers of the ice cream parlour and shop, which was very busy while we were there. Consequently it was very busy.
There are lots of pet animals in pens around the site and farm which is great for children but there isn't a dedicated play area for them, so they play around the site.
All in all the site is just OK, the staff were not very helpful and the only information of places to visit or things to do is in the lobby of the toilet / shower. I would not use this site again unless it was for a one night stopover on my way to somewhere else.

We recently stayed at this site and were absolutely amazed by it!
The site itself is clean and well looked after, the pitches are very spacious and are surrounded by fields with cows and sheep in them.
There are guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, a horse and llamas to look at, which my daughters, (5 and 2) were fascinated with. There is a lovely little shop selling eggs, cakes, milk, etc and it also sells the ice cream which they make on the farm, I'm not an ice cream lover but it is to die for, especially the coffee, lemon, strawberry and ginger!
There isn't a playground but there is so much else to look at and my daughters were more than happy to just run round on the grass and kick a ball about! The only negative about the site is there is only one toilet room which has the shower in, so it can be a long wait, but the facilities themselves are clean and there is no cost to use the shower.
It's a lovely site, we were lucky enough to have scorching weather for the time we were there, the staff were friendly and it's only £8 a night!
We've already booked up to stay there again in July and we can't wait!
