We had a very enjoyable stay at this site, owners were away but the gentleman left in charge was extremely helpful seeing as we didn't arrive till quite late.
Owners returned on the Friday and came to talk to us, very, very friendly.
A lovely site and we will return and stay again as we have family close by.
Thank you

Well what can I say, this site is absolutely lovely, they even have a fridge and a freezer which you are free to use, and a massive farmhouse kitchen table and chairs this is amazing, I have never had such qualities on a campsite.
The showers and toilets are very clean so is the pitches. I certainly will be coming back and word of mouth speaks volumes, so hopefully many of our close friends will come too.
Hopes this helps to make your mind up as weather to stay here. It is definitely a 10/10 from me.

NOT ADULT ONLY as advertised on this website. We chose Laylands farm because we were looking for a quiet site and as it was school holidays, we looked for an Adult only site.
Shortly after we arrived, a family with 3 young kids and one teenage girl arrived. Actually they were impeccably well behaved but we felt it wasn't great news. The following morning another family with 4 kids also arrived. Luckily we had only planned to stay one night anyway so we moved on.
Toilets and shower block is dated but can't complain about the hot water. I wasn't too keen on only having a shower curtain for privacy but we had left it late to shower so there was no-one else around.
There is a lovely flat field which is ideal for tents. In the caravan section, there seems to be a lot of people staying for work.
The site feels a bit industrial rather than a nice farm location. If they could update the shower facilities and tidy the site up, the site would be more promising as there are so few campsites in the area, but as it is we would hesitate before going back.

Stayed here for 1 night.
Arrived late afternoon after a long drive.
Quite difficult to negotiate through the gate in one direction, so you may need to pass the site, and arrive from the other direction.
Looked for a good hot shower, but found them to be less than clean.
20 pence per shower didn't last long enough, and had to finish in ultra-quick time.
Toilets were needing a good mopping out, to make them tidy and acceptable.
This place seems to be divided into 3 sections.
1) Camping and Caravan Club members
2) General public
3) Long term residents.
OK for a quick 1 night stop-over, but no more.

I used this site for a one night stop over on a cycle from lands end to John O Grotes, the site was easy to find and I was very glad of a nice hot shower when I got there late after a 100 mile plus ride.
I was warmly welcomed to this site and very well looked after while I was there.
All the facilities were very good and worked well.
This campsite is well placed with good access to the route I was on A49.
I would deffinatly stay here again.

We visit family in the area so we have stayed here five times over the last few years.
This is a Camping and Caravan Club site but it also takes other people, it has some long term residential pitches and mobile working men on site. No barrier system just an open gate.
It is a very small site, it has some hard standing with electric hookup, also grass pitches with electric hookup. I also have seen tents on site. Chickens get let out in a morning and roam about the site.
The owners are friendly, if they are not about I usually pitch up and catch them later, I ask them if I can do this on the phone so its OK. Sometimes you don't seem to catch them till the next day. Make sure you ring the bell by the gate and not go to the house as there are roaming guard dogs about!
There is a small toilet block, men to the left and ladies to the right, the doors to both side are left usually open. Two showers, 20p piece which gives about 6 mins and two toilets each side, wash basins with only cold water. The showers have just a shower curtain, not a problem but I found a man getting washed one morning in the ladies! These are clean in a morning but do get grubby through the day. They also have a washing machine/dryer.
I now use the caravan facilities.
We will return.

Owners where friendly and helpful, we stayed one night, £5 electric card lasted the night leaving meter 10p in debit, on this we ran the fridge, hot water and lights.
We didn't use the toilets or showers as we used the ones in the caravan. No lights in toilets so very dark, toilets/showers clean but in need of finishing off work on the outside which gives them a tatty unkempt look.
Old toilets converted for chemical toilet disposal and storage for the owners. Clever idea to use two of the old soil pipes from the old toilets and brick up around them to make the disposal area. Top marks for this, two people can be emptying at the same time, most CL sites only have one disposal point.
We used it as a one night stop off on the way up to Scotland and to visit Lego discovery land that is very close by.
Would I use it again? Yes
Would I recommend to friends? No
All in all okay for a one or two nighter.

This is a Camping and caravan club certified site although it was not really a touring site seems to be mostly long term and residential.
Owners are friendly and helpful first £5 of electricity included but seems to be set at very high rate. We paid £30 for 3 nights plus £15 on electric cards.
Showers are 20p no hot water or heating in toilet block but washer and dryer are available (on meters) Very muddy site but there are hard standings.
People on motorbikes riding around the site at the weekend and lots of van movements so parents would need to be aware. No security or gate on site so wheel locks required.
Tent campers have more choice and better locations with field next to road although this does look rather wet and boggy at present.
