Me and the wife had a great time there, we were stuck for a site to go to phoned them up explained what had happened and they told us no problem as they would find a space for my motor-home and we had 7 nights there. Owners and staff were brilliant and very friendly, all the pitches are well spaced-apart ,disabled facilities were very clean and spotless, the site-shop was well stocked. Local pub just a short walk, food great, bus-stop short walk, all in all the site was brilliant. We will be back next year.

Visited this site, unfortunately we had bad weather for the full 2 weeks but the site was great,
We were under extreme circumstances, even so, the site could do with some more gravel paths and a few more hard standings.
The toilets block are cleaned regularly but unfortunately the hot water kept going off. Don't know if that was due to the amount of people using the site.
They have a Family block of toilets which is great if you have smaller children.
The Park is located on the site and is fine for all ages of kids (even on the rain) who all played together.
The surrounding area is beautiful and is in a good spot for touring Cornwall.
The site is quiet and is great if you want to get a good nights sleep without all the razzmatazz of the bigger sites.
Would go back again.

Lovely site that was well laid out though pitches could be more clearly marked, very good drainage, that was definitely needed in the 2 weeks we were there, shop was well stocked with essentials and take away was reasonably priced and tasted good.
Ideal location for exploring any part cornwall you wished, with easy access to the A30.
The only two gripes we had was the showers were quite slippery and had no shower curtain, so belongings can get wet, though were very clean.
The other 1 was people playing ball games, football amongst other caravans and tent's, we did have our car hit by a football. I just wished ball games were banned to a separate area away from caravan's and tent's.

An excellent site which, for me, had nothing which I can criticise. It is located very close to Perranporth beach and is ideally situated for visiting other areas of cornwall. The site has a shop which sells a good range of products. The layout of the site is excellent with plenty of space between units and as good a shower / toilet block as I have seen at any caravan site. There was a warm and friendly welcome from the owners / staff who were always ready and willing to give advice when asked. I would unreservedly recommend this site to anyone visiting this area and, for my part, would definitely use it again

An exceptional family owned and run site with a warm welcome guaranteed. Ideally located for access to Perranporth (to be honest the best beach in Cornwall), Newquay, St Agnes, Truro and many more attractions.
The facilities are excellent with the toilet and shower blocks having been refitted for this year and kept spotlessly clean despite the best efforts of the weather; there are also family shower rooms available for those with kids. The site shop is well stocked and not over priced and the take-away quite frankly does the best bacon rolls.
The pitches are spacious, flat, well laid out and as well as a children’s play area there is plenty of space for the kids to play. The site in general is very well landscaped and maintained as well as being immaculately clean and tidy.
The local pub is just a short walk and welcomes families with open arms providing a children’s menu and play area with outside eating area.
Over all a wonderful site run by a friendly hard working family with a quiet, safe, warm, family orientated atmosphere. Would recommend everyone has a stay. Cannot wait for our next holiday there in August.

We’ve just got back from our second stay at Penrose Farm Touring Park and I thought it was time I shared this hidden gem!
A family-run site, with friendly and welcoming staff. The location is perfect as it’s 5 minutes drive from Perranporth (fabulous little beach town) and in the middle of Truro (farmers’ market, beautiful cathedral, nice shops) and Newquay (beaches, boating lake, zoo and aquarium).
The site itself is a good size and the pitches are well-spaced apart. The grounds are immaculate and the family clearly take pride in their work, ensuring happy campers! There are even some friendly rabbits! The toilets are brand new this season and as with our last visit, they were absolutely spotless, bright and airy (and I’m very fussy!).
The children’s play area kept our kids busy for hours (my youngest finally mastered the monkey-bars!) and the dog walking area gave our excitable dog a good chance to run off steam! A well-stocked shop coupled with an excellent take-away meant I had a holiday from cooking too! Bacon butties for breakfast and tasty Thai fishcakes in the evening! Yummy! The cherry on the cake has to be the peace and quiet of the site. It’s a strictly family / couple site so no dreaded groups of loud, drunken youths. What a relief!
The local pub (2 minutes walk) is family friendly and has a nice outdoor area. Lots of walks to do in the surrounding area, I especially recommend a walk through the dunes towards Perranporth.
All in all, a site with high standards and lovely staff. We’ve had another great stay and the next holiday can’t come soon enough!

Attended this site on recommendation from friends.
Nice greeting from 'Jen' who explained where everything was. We were in a group and were placed onto plots with EHU.
The plots were large, well grassed and flat. We were placed along a mature hedgerow that gave some protection from the rather unseasonable gales / rain that caused damage to other units during our stay.
The utilities are all placed in one long building in the centre of the park. Toilets were very clean and the three showers in the male block were free and hot (although getting them hot took a bit of working out)
The site offer a food service called 'Penrose Pantry' we did use it once, but, perhaps the chef / cook was just having a bad day the order was wrong and the food? well, lets just say we only used it once.
The site has some night time lighting but nothing intrusive to tenters. There was however some traffic noise as the site has roads on both its sides.
Can recommend the local pub the 'New Inns' for good beer and grub. The Sunday carvery is always a sell out so make sure you book. Saturday is Quiz night, watch out for the Gooners (Goonhaven) the local 'team' they take it very seriously :-)
All in all, a nice site well kept and a friendly site crew. Could do with perhaps an extra loo / shower block (and a proper chef) Would like to return some day.

Having stayed on this site in previous years we were shocked to see that new owners had taken over this year.
Considering this was there first year on site we thought that they coped really well, especially with the bad weather we had during our stay. They where fantastic putting straw down where required and ensuring that the toilets where immaculate.
The shop and takeaway had much improved and we actually used them quite a lot as it definitely wasnt BBQ weather for our 1st weeks holiday. The takeaway did lovely pizza and great Thai fish cakes with chillie sauce! I hope they are still on the menu next year!
We will definatley return next year and probably every year after that as its in just the right location for beaches, coastal walks and all the main attractions like Eden Center and Flambards (our 9 year old sons favourite place to go).
I wish all the best to the family owners and hope that their 2nd year on site goes as smoothly as this year did but that the sun comes out for them.
Great site, well worth visiting. Most beautiful lawns. Safe for children to play. Nice and quiet. All in all lovely place!

Loved the site, spent only a week there wished it was longer. The staff are all brilliant and all owners, they bought the site as a family in January of this year. The parents had a site in North Wales before moving with the family to Cornwall we were customers at there old site Caer Mynydd. Everyone needs to appreciate that they are new to the site and that things will not be the same as the previous owners. Caer Mynydd was a lovely site and I know that this park will be as good if not better than before.

What a fantastic site! We booked in to this friendly, quiet and clean site and couldn't believe our luck. We were taking away a caravan to try out for the 1st time and couldn't have picked a better place to try it out on.
We battled through rainstorms to get there and the site had unfortunately had its share of the deluge - the site staff immediately offered straw and the like if our pitch was waterlogged. This was not needed as our pitch was quite dry in comparison to other areas. All the pitches in the EHU area were very spacious and level. The toilet facilities were clean and the family shower rooms were excellent especially after days on the beach!
The on site takeaway was great for the evenings when you were too busy / tired to make meals and very reasonably priced. The shop had all the basics needed too. The site staff were friendly and helpful as were the rabbits who wander about the park!
The toilets and family showers were brilliant and clean. This site was always quiet and the kids enjoyed the play area.
Perranporth beach is very close (5 Mins drive) and our 8year old daughter highly recommends the surf school - she can now stand up and surf!
We recommend this site and will return but in our tent as we didn't really take to caravanning life!
