Am in agreement with last viewer. This certainly is not the site previous campers have experienced. It is definitely 5 star, with great consideration given to layout. The Facilities are simply delightful, and without doubt the best we have seen in this country. The area is steeped in history, even the small village close by. Highly Recommended

We have just returned from this site for the first time and not the last! We booked some time ago for its location and the prospect of new facilities, not really appreciating the quality we would find. We have not been camping in the UK for a few years although in the past have stayed across the country. But this has to be one of the most well appointed sites we have ever stayed on. Granted there is no shop or other such facilities (frankly not needed anyway), the key things you need like clean toilets, showers, washing up area and laundry room are exactly what you might hope for. Even the chemical toilet emptying facility is impressive! When we booked our pitch there was another first for us (in the UK) we were able to select the pitch number from the site map. I realised after booking that many pitches are hard standings and was anxious about pitching a tent on gravel, but actually it's great (remember to bring gravel pegs with you, plastic won't do it!). Our new tent will not get muddy at all, and although it has rained heavily at times there is no worry about there being any 'boggy' patches.
The hosts/owners have been friendly and helpful and all seem proud of their new site, and so they should be. The thing we wanted most from this holiday was a peaceful and restful time, and we have certainly had that. (The only disturbances have been the joyous sound of the country birds - a cuckoo. Etc. , cows and occasional helicopter and tractor traffic but all in the distance. The world encroaches everywhere!).
It is an adult only site and being 'post young children' ourselves it's wonderful. But if you have a young family Deers Glade also owned by the same family is very close by and I gather has a good reputation as well. We have booked to come back for shorter stays in June and August. That should say enough!

Please note that as of 2013 this site has been taken over by new owners.
It will be shut during the 2013 season whilst a full refurbishment takes place, and will reopen in March 2014.

Just back from a weekend camp, there were 4 of us in our little party with 2 tents 2 cars. We were given a choice of areas, and the owner of the site was pleasant and polite and helpful.
This is a very pretty site and we would definitely be back. But! being in a tent we rely on on site facilities - which at best were awful.
The boys said their toilets were unclean and very smelly, the girls toilets I can definitely say were unclean (and in dire need of a makeover ideally - but clean is a must!) and as for the shower, of which there is just 1. Oh dear! it's difficult when you're trying desperately not to let anything touch the dirty floor! Not good at all, which is such a shame as I would have definitely liked to have come back.
The rating for value for money is a bit difficult to answer because we only paid £13 per night, but I'd happily pay more if it meant a decent toilet/shower block.
To end on a positive note however, the site is nice and quiet with big plots well spaced out (you are not on top of each other ) and the garden area in the middle gives a very pleasant outlook.

What a lovely site. It was clean, well maintained and friendly. This was our first camping experience, the owner was friendly and answered all my 'never been camping before' questions.
The ground was flat, we didn't feel cramped even though we were between two caravans.
I was a little apprehensive about the toilets and shower after reading previous reviews but found them to be in good condition with plenty of toilet roll and lots of hot water.
One thing that was a bit noisy was the road to the village that seemed to be used by 'locals', we were pitched just the other side of the hedge and we found the noise from the cars passing did wake us during the night.
A rookie mistake to agree to a pitch next to a road. We will not make the same mistake. We found a nice pub up on the main road and easy road links to the beach.
We would go back to this site, but ask for a pitch the other side of the camp!

A gem of a site. Small, but perfectly formed and immaculately kept by resident owner. And best of all no notices spelling out what you can and can't do
Its only drawback, if this sort of thing bothers you, is that there is only one gents' and one ladies' shower serving around two dozen [max] units. And so if your perception of a site's worth is determined by its shower/camper ratio, Little Haven is probably not for you.

This is a great little site we go back year after year, the owner is lovely and kind and the site is well maintained. Nice and quiet site as well. Big plots well spaced out (you are not on top of each other ) big green in the middle. Nice and near all the main attractions and pubs. Some people talk about the toilets, just to let you know they are all having a refurb this year, and are always clean. The main attraction on this site is the warm and friendly atmosphere, we love it

We were concerned prior to arrival about the facilities after some reviews but found them clean and all we needed with powerful hot showers.
In our opinion the toilet block sat very well in the overall look of the site. It was a very attractive site and well looked after with lots of flowers and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
Perfectly situated for the coast and nearby attractions plus Blickling Hall was exceptional.
Easy walk to a pub.
The only issue for us appears to becoming more widespread and that's charging for electric on all pitches whether you want it or not. Definitely go again.

The best approach to this site is via the A140 and then The Street. Do not use the B1354 as part of your route; it is a rat run.
The initial entrance to this site is good but does narrow down to an access gate which is more restrictive especially to the CC CL part of the site.
The owner of the site was pleasant and polite and helpful.
The site is larger than expected generally tidy and quiet and looked like it was once a real Pride and Joy site. There is plenty of room for your unit / awning and vehicle.
The facilities on his site are very tired; the Female block was very clean according to Wifey. The Male block was another story, the waste bin was over-flowing when we arrived on Friday and still was on Sunday afternoon. We chose to use our unit facilities.
There is electric hook-up, toilet/shower block, sheltered washing up area. The Chemical disposal point is at ground level, which is brilliant (no lifting the thunder box or grey water containers). These facilities are not near the CC CL part of the site. The ground is firm but does have wet areas.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area: -
Aylsham: - is a nice town to visit and there is free parking available.
Wolterton Hall: - dogs’ welcome has plenty of walks and for only £2.00 parking: Do it.
Cromer: - good parking facilities at Meadow Road, the Pier, fresh dressed Crab, fish & chip eateries.
Sheringham: - Has a Saturday Market, NNR Poppy line - Steam trains of yesteryear, fish & chip eateries.
Holkham Hall and Estate: - is a must do and what a great day out, dogs’ welcome, so much open space, bygones museum and your parking fee £2.50 is redeemable if you buy from the cafeteria or gift shop.
Please remember this is a farming area and large farm vehicles are on the road from 05.30 hours. Unfortunately this site is not presented to its full potential but is ideal for the seasoned visitors. The TV reception was extremely poor but there may have been a transmitter problem, the mobile Internet was no problem. A local resident also has home use of a very noisy helicopter at the weekend.
We would visit again.

The only downside to this site is the communal facility block, situated in a prefabricated building. Although basically clean, it is somewhat tired compared to the best facilities now on offer, and there is the oft overlooked issue of insects on the ceiling / wall junction. I really wanted to pressure wash the whole area.
There is one shower and two WC's and basins per sex, adequate I would have thought for a small site. There is also a dishwash area with two sinks situated oddly by the door to the male toilets. There was always hot water
But you get what you pay for and this site should be several pounds per night cheaper than the ones on the coast. One major advantage for me is the feeling of spaciousness because one looks out onto the central grassed area as 'vans are pitched around the perimeter of a wide circle.
The location is lovely, access off the main Norwich to Cromer road should cause no problems even if you meet another unit coming the opposite way, and it is ideally placed for touring around north Norfolk. There is also a CC only CL tucked away in one corner
Would I visit again? Yes, if by myself and using on-board facilities, but probably not if taking family members, some of whom would have to use communal facilities.
