This is a very clean, spacious and friendly campsite with spectacular views over the fields to the coast of Jersey. The local village is well equipped with some very good restaurants and a cosy pub that provides some extremely high quality food.
The facilities at the site include copious amounts of hot water 24 hours a day, toilets, showers and wash facilities that always seem to have just been cleaned, and several lounge and activity areas that were in the same high quality state as the entire site.
The owners of the site take enormous pride in providing the best service they can, with freshly collected bread products each morning and a small shop that sells plenty of provisions. A special mention must go to the lady owner, who whisked us to the airport after out taxi failed to arrive, accepting no payment and without being asked. Thank you so much!

We visited Rozel for four nights at the end of May, primarily because it was close to Rozel harbour which we had heard good reports on.
The site itself is spread over three fields, with the first two being separated by hedges. One of these fields has a small children's playground which was being renewed during our stay. We opted for the top field which, as has been mentioned in other reviews, is more exposed to the elements but does have views accross the channel.
This is a very relaxed site without, and this makes a welcome change, signs on every wall listing do's and don'ts. The owners are pleasant without being interferring and you are left to chose your own spacious pitch and get on with your holiday. If you are an experienced, self sufficient camper this site will rekindle happy memories for you of the days when it was possible to enjoy a simple camping holiday, without the need to be at a Holiday Camp.
Shower block very clean and tidy with taps that assume you're bright enough to remember to turn them off yourself.
The only slight drawback is that if, like us, you often like to walk out in the evening for a drink and supper, Rozel harbour really does not have much to offer. The Navigator restaurant is very good but you will need to book ahead most nights. The only other option in the evening is the only pub in the village which, after our initial misgivings, yielded superb homecooked dinners. It is not a particularly long walk to the harbour from the site, but it IS a steep road with no pavement which seems an even steeper climb at the end of an evening.

Well situated site. We took bikes and cycled a lot. Hilly but fantastic. Owners were helpful and friendly but we frequently got in showers and the water although hot was stopping and starting every few minutes.
Our pitch was very small and we opend the front door straight on to drive. We should really have asked to move to top field which was much more open and spacious. Play ground was lovely. Shop was good. And swimming pool clean if a little cold. Bearing in mind last summer was not a good one.
Over all Lovely quite location. But shower facilities could be better.

Stayed here in Aug 2007, 2 adults and our 2 children 7 & 5. A lovely campsite with a nice family feel to it. There are 3 main areas to camp in. 1 surrounded by hedges to provide shelter, 1 in quite a dip so again quite sheltered and a much larger field which takes tents as well as motor-homes and caravans. This field has lovely views over the sea to France, but is less sheltered. The pitches are well organised and have plenty of room. The EHU is right next to each pitch. There is plenty of room for the kids to play particularly if you get a pitch at the end of the campsite as it is left clear for access. This just meant that incoming or outgoing caravans used it but only once or twice a day So the children could play with plenty of room for ball games. The grass is kept very short and cut as soon as someone leaves so take the kids bikes as they can cycle around too. The toilets and showers always had hot water wether it was 6am or midnight which was a real luxury and the toilets and showers were kept immaculate. There are 2 toilet / shower blocks and even if there was a small queue in the morning for the showers a walk to the other block usually found the other showers empty. The campsite was quite busy with all nationalities, but never felt busy. The shop was open in the morning for croissants and french bread (8-11:30) and again in the afternoon.(4-7:00) There was games room which had a few arcade type games in and table tennis and a pool table, a TV room with a fairly big TV and a smaller room next door with books in and a few comfy chairs. There were signs advertising a takeaway, however we never saw anyone with food and couldn't even see where any food could be served from but may have been above the games room. The site was well maintained, the pool was a decent size although a bit chilly for younger children our two love swimming but weren't too keen in going in, but quite refreshing when you did ! There are a couple of washing machines and a dryer operated by tokens bought at the shop. One of these was out of order but very efficiently repaired the following day. Nearest beach at Rozel Bay was a five minute drive away(or 2mins on a bike as it is downhill all the way) there are a few restaurants in Rozel bay and a pub and a nice beach. On the road down to Rozel and a 30 sec stroll from the campsite is a farmhouse that sell fresh veg outside with an honesty box so you can buy potatoes, carrots, beans, tomatoes etc. Overall a lovely campsite with a very friendly feel to it. Mainly seemed to have young families on it, not many teenagers. Well located and no noise after dark. Some noise from aircraft flying in to Jersey but didn't notice it after a while. Friendly owners. Book ferry through owners to get discounts. We sailed from Weymouth and ret to Portsmouth with an overnight ferry and a cabin so the kids could sleep through.

Just returned from this excellent site. Owners were really helpful starting with showing us to our pitch, explaining where everything was and some good local recommendations for eating out and shopping. The site is fairly flat, set up the hill from Rozel, so we did suffer a bit in the northerly wind, but on clear days has great views out to sea and across to France. On initial looks the shower blocks look slightly dated, but are kept clean. The showers were fantastic, hot water at all times, adjustable temp and no time limit or buttons to keep the flow going. The only gripes were the loos having toilet tissue rather than rolls, which we think always makes for a dirtier looking toilet area and no hooks in the washbasin areas. The family shower units were a big help for us, although an additional facility for washing babies would have been beneficial. The site has excellent leisure facilities - kids playground, sandpit, playing field, tv room, outdoor swimming pool, games room (table tennis, pool, table hockey, table football, darts, games machines), crazy golf - all free except some of the games room. There was a really good, relaxed atmosphere about the site. During the early evening there would be football or cricket matches on the playing field, but once darkness fell there was very little noise. The site shop is open twice a day and stocks a good range of supplies, including fresh bread and croissants on a morning, but be quick before they sell out ! We would highly recommend this site for families, couples or groups.

We spent 7 nights over Whitsun on this site in one of their ready erected tents (Cabanon Aruba). It was fully kitted out with the biggest luxury being a domestic size fridge! There were only 2 of us, me and my 9 year old son. Toilets and showers (free) were clean. There were 2 family showers in the block plus ample single showers. Because of the time of year there was only one shower block open but sufficient as there were very few people on site. Lovely clean outdoor pool, crazy golf course and TV and separate lounge room. A games room was available if you wanted to use it (although we didn’t). My son was given a golf club and ball to keep all week which I thought was a nice touch. Good size play area for children. We were in the field (by request) with views of France which was lovely but beware if you use it make sure you have some shelter as a couple with family lost their tent in a force 9 gale one night! They had a perfect view but not much shelter! The owner’s were very helpful though and let them stay in the lounge for 2 nights, also drying out their tent for them.
Small shop which was not very well stocked because of the time of year but it contained all we needed – it was the beginning of their season. We were able to order breakfast bread to collect at 8 in the morning. We looked at the other sites available in Jersey and this one, in our opinion, was by far the best. At one stage we had a whole field to ourselves but I believe it gets fairly busy in high season. The grounds were immaculate with hedging around the 4 different fields. I would recommend this site and would definitely return if I went back to Jersey.
There was a pub nearby which I believe served good food but we didn't use it. Plus a nice fish restaurant in the nearby Harbour (steep walk). I can recommend the Hungry Man for a great burger in Rozel Harbour. It's famous in the area.

We visited Rozel camp site during the 1st 2 weeks in July and were extremely impressed with the site. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, the toilet block is spotless, in fact the whole site is very well maintained! Powerful (free) showers too. The camping field is flat and spacious with views of Normandy. The pitches for tourers and camper vans are nice and secluded, most of them being sectioned off by trimmed hedges. The pool is clean and a very welcome sight after a long day in the sun! There is also a separate area for campers who do not have a car, most of the pitches being terraced. All in all we can't fault the site, we spoke to people on the site who have been to all the sites on Jersey and they say Rozel is the best.I can see why.

Really friendly owners who made it clear to us that nothing was too much bother - even to wake them in the night if our toddler was ill wouldn't have been a problem. In a lovely spot on the island - good walking area. Facilities were clean and all in working order. They were just touching everything up again for the high season.

August 2005 What a fantastic family site, have recommened to all our friends. The owners of this site are very much hands on and nothing is too much trouble for them, the site is well run very clean and all facilities were working even with a near enough full site. The shop was well stocked and did not have over the top prices and the take away price for food were resonable. Good games room, and tv room for kids. The beaches of Jersey were clean and the whole holiday could not be faulted.

July 2005 This is a fantastic site, Heather and Tosh were extremely hospitable and helpful in every way.
The showers and toilets were impecable, the shop was always well stocked and the pitch we had was very big with plenty of space to stretch out a bit.
There was a very pleasant and sociable attitude in our field with many visitors having been returning year after year, in fact some had been visiting for nearly ten years.
Our children had plenty to do and made loads of friends, as did we. Rozel Bay and its beach were only a 5 minute walk away, Greve De Leq (our favourite beach) was a 20 minute drive along the northern coast, which had everything you could wish for on a day to the beach.
Even on rainy days, if you cannot get into the War Tunnels, the Jersey Experience, Jersey Bowl or indeed the games room on site, there was the Aqua Splah in St Helier which even at peak times provided hours of fun.
The castles, gardens, beaches and people made our visit one to remember.
We very much hope to visit here again in the future.
