Stayed just the one night as a stop off point.
Found the staff very helpful and full of information about the area.
The pitches were well spaced out and even.
The toilets, showers and laundry areas were spotless and we didn't mind paying a £5 deposit for a key to the facilities block.
We paid £1.50 for an electric card and that lasted overnight which I thought was fairer than being charged £3 or more for hire of a hook up like most sites do.
The site is within walking distance of the centre of Aviemore with has a fair sized Tesco.
The only complaint I have is the noise from the main road that runs along the side of the site.
Would use again when I return to the area. But I would bring earplugs next time!

Stayed at this site last Spring. Lovely clean toilets and well organised site. I do not often use camp showers as I have my own in the campervan but I used this one and I am very fussy! We did not bring children so have nothing to write about play areas. I must admit that the main Inverness road which ran alongside the campsite was very noisy and kept me awake a lot in the night. However, I always carry earplugs so in the end I slept well. I will be back again as both my husband and I really enjoyed the friendly small site. Oh, almost forgot about the excellent Italian restaurant at the campsite entrance. Friendly, helpful staff and scrummy food.

A very pleasant site on edge of village, so no driving involved if a night out is on the menu. Toilet block was spotless. On my arrival the site was very busy due to the annual Harley Davidson Hog Ride but reception went the extra mile to try and accommodate my requirements. Would definitely recommend this site and will be returning again next year.

Having read the other reviews of this site I was amazed! I can only assume that the visitors have never been to better, cheaper and friendlier sites anywhere else! The ground is unbelievably stony where the tents pitch but the owners will help you out by hiring you steel tent pegs @ £1.00 each (min 10) They will also help out with everything else for a charge. I didn't find anything free on this site even the swipe cards to get into the toilet were £5.00 deposit! However the toilet and shower block were spotlessly clean and ultra modern. The fact that they closed for 3 hours during midday for cleaning was a major problem because the "back-up" toilet block was filthy! No-way would I let my kids use it! It has a nice Italian restaurant at the entrance but it was also seriously expensive for what you got. Go uptown to "Smiffys award winning fish & Chip restaurant" way cheaper and good food too. Sorry if this sounds harsh but I have travelled extensively around Europe and have rarely felt quite so "wrung out" of my money as at this campsite!

Great location on the outskirts of Aviemore yet within walking distance of the town centre. Dedicated pitches for Tents which are of a generous size but are rather hard and stoney. Great playarea for the kids but nowhere for ball games. The toilet and shower block was immaculate although there is only 3 showers which isn't really enough for the size of site. The only down side to this site is the noise from the main Inverness to Perth road which runs behind the site and could be heard all night.

On our last trip round this site after visiting many years ago regular we commented we would never use again but when touring nearby we looked round site again and were pleasantly surprised at improvments made - especially individual pitches and building of new services block with excellent showers plenty of room to move and change! Site only 5 minute stroll to centre of town with plenty eating options and plenty to do again for all ages. New swimming pool in resort, bit expensive but ok when you consider they supply towels etc and always kept numbers to comfortable level even though people waiting. Kids well catered for and safe to play out on site safely though play park area out of site of touring pitches. Electric charged at £1.50 per card but even in Oct we only went through two during a 5 night stay. Will be back again for weekends next year.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend and our daughter. People very friendly and site very clean especially the toilet and shower block would recommend this to anyone. To walk to the tesco along and back it took my 15 mins and thats including the time it took to buy food. All in all a fantastic plce to stay at.

Nice site. A bit stoney so make sure you've got plenty of pegs and a mallet. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean. Italian restaurant on site was yummy. There's a nature reserve right next to the site which has some lovely walks and the kids enjoyed spotting lots of wild beasties. A nice site and one that we will return to.

Have been here twice and really liked it. Not much for the kids but if you take their bikes and some toys they loved it and you don't really need to worry about them as its quite enclosed so you can watch them easily. Just a five to ten minute walk to town centre. Prices quite cheap also. The toilet and shower block was really clean. Will definately be going back.

Third time at this site. Very good and clean. Very good showers and toilets. Very close to Aviemore and lots of services available. Meters are operated by cards purchased from reception but not too pricey. Only complaint would be that the toilet block is shut for cleaning for 3 hours every afternoon, bit excessive especially when the site is quite. There is a back up but these are the old units that are 1960's and the showers don't work. Not much for kids on site but then it is so close to Aviemore you have got plenty to do. Excellent base for walking, skiing, climbing or biking with lots of hire close by for either.
