This site is lovely - it's large, cheap & the staff are really friendly. The showers/toilets are a bit dated but really clean. It's really close to Seahouses and Bamburgh. It was a bit chilly at night but you are on the coast! Will definitely be going back again this year.

Lovely clean caravan site. When we arrived were guided to pitch by friendly staff. Small park for younger children near the tourer pitches which kids loved, there was also a park for older children, which the kids loved too. 2 football pitches, badminton and tennis nets already set up for use too. Toilets were dated but very clean, although the site was quiet when we were there. The toilet block could do with some heating, wouldn't like to shower first thing in the morning. But that is probably the only bad thing about the site, but it won't put me off going again. Shortish walk to bamburgh and the castle and just a 5 minute drive to seahouses, which has shops, takeaways, restaurants etc. Beach just a short drive and kids loved all the sand dunes, a bit cold for a dip though. Shop on the site only open a few hours a day, not that we used it. Would go back again, just heat up the shower block, please!

A great site ,we only stayed one night with 5 children! The facilities were o.k and cleaned regularly, fantastic parks for kids of all ages, friendly staff- the young man on duty actually lent my husband his bike to go for cigarettes ! The site had lots of children which was great as my kids made lots of new friends but it was quiet after about 9.30, so we all had a good nights sleep. You have to be off your pitch by 12 0 clock but we stayed later and we weren't rushed to leave, shop wasn't that well stocked i.e milk, bread and sweets for the kids - would have liked to have seen more things on sale but good for your basic needs though. All in all we enjoyed staying at this site and will definatly be going back

A great campsite if you have kids. A dedicated football area and nice play park. Has a small shop on site and two toilet / shower blocks. Although one of them is well away from the camping area and in among the static caravans, strange! Units were quite close and you we were allocated a slot. We could not pick were to pitch. A lot of kids on the site, it was very busy. Would go again if I took the kids, but not if we did not have them.

This is our second visit to the site. Both times the staff were really friendly and helpful. The site is lovely and flat and the site is clean and tidy. The children love the play areas and the site is safe for them to cycle around. Though a little dated the showers are hot, free and even though we went in July we never had to wait to use them. We think it is a great site, perfect for children and days at the beach. We will definitely go back.

Cramped in the middle of the site. Probably quite nice if you can get an 'outer ring' pitch some of which have views and all of which will be much quieter than being stuck close to the reception office and toilet block. Shower block could be cleaner. Shop staff could be friendlier. The area is beautiful and you really must visit it, but there are nicer sites than this. Make sure you get to Alnwick Castle, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh, Warkworth etc. The beaches are superb and made for evening rambles with the dog. Walks in the Cheviots in easy reach. Ours even got a walk on the Farne Islands where we saw seals, puffins, shags, guillemots and a million other birds. Fish and chips in Seahouses watching the boats come in and out of the harbour and a pint or two at the Olde Ship. Bliss. Shame about the site really.

Stayed here for one night in early April 2006. Easy enough to find from the A1. Great view of Bamburgh Castle on the horizon if you pitch in the right place. Great parks for the kids to play in. Good equipment and well looked after. Toilets and showers bit outdated but otherwise clean. Hookups were available but we didn't use them. Lots of statics on site.
We like to go for a drink in the evening. Had to drive 2 miles down the road to find the nearest pub but there was a nice selection of child friendly places when we got there. Site serves as a great base for visiting Bamburgh Castle. The beach is great too. We would go again.

Really pleased with this site, We had an excellent view of Bamburgh Castle from our pitch. The site drained really well so soft ground wasn't a problem. The play areas were well equipped and the whole site was well maintained. It was pretty quiet, but I think that the limited number of showers could be a problem in the summer. Would definitely go again.

Nice campsite are only gripe was pitches quite close together and shower blocks could be cleaner. Small playarea for kids and good shop on site, staff friendly we were able to stay longer on our last day because pitch was not required until the following day.

We visited this site at the start of school holidays, it was busy but great fun for the kids, loads of new friends. The two play areas are good one for younger children and bigger one with zip slide for the bigger ones.
The staff were very helpful when we arrived, helping us get caravan on pitch (we are learners). The shop sells basic things you would need and sweets for the kids. Tere is a football field at one end of the park and dog walking area. My only complaint would be that the showers are rather dark and dingy, but are clean. Friendly site will go back
