Nice site and good location. The manager does seem to have off days and had a go at us for our tent being pitched in the centre of the pitch rather than at the edge. (New one on me)
Toilets/showers were clean and we made use of the washing machines and tumble driers.
Sadly they didn't seem to enforce the 11pm rule and we did get kept awake one night until about 1am on the first night. The other nights we were just kept up till about 12 by another group!
We were made aware of the no ball games rule by another camper, but this did not seem to stop one family that were happy using the empty areas to play football. The kids did use the play area but I agree that it is not that well placed.

We stayed here for two nights over a weekend. The staff were so polite and friendly advising us on the best place to pitch. It is a beautiful quiet site and well maintained, albeit the sun shone brightly.
It is a perfect place to visit local towns and villages within the Peak District and also Staffordshire.
The amenity blocks (2) are cleaned constantly and rubbish is removed as soon as the bins are used! The grass is mown regularly and staff are always wandering around doing their jobs and doing them well. They are always there to assist in advice and pitching.
Don't let the slight slope deter you, it's nothing a seasoned camper cannot cope with, and it isn't much of a gradient at all.
Nearby is a lovely reservoir/lake, which has superb facilities for kids to enjoy.
About 5 mins walk towards Buxton is a lovely pub that serves great food.
10/10 for this site and it's staff. Can't wait to return with our grandson!

We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly return. We found the managers to be friendly and helpful and the overall feel of the site was very pleasant. We were pitched on the area backing on to woodland, which is pleasant from the point of view of having a nice view, but the hard surface is not particularly pleasant for sitting out: most other areas of the site are either grass, or a mixture of grass and gravel, which we would have preferred, but we booked late and the site was pretty much full when we arrived. The only other negative was that, although the site was nearly full, only one toilet block was open. On the other hand, we never had to queue for any facility.
Most of our trips out were to the Peak District, which is easily reached. Had we been there for longer, I am sure we would have explored some of the other attractions of the area, such as the various pottery industry heritage sites in Stoke and the nearby reservoir.
As a base for visiting the area, with fairly easy access from the M6, this site has a lot to offer and we felt we had made a good choice.

Having only recently joined the Camping and Caravan Club we decided to book a week here with the children during the Easter break. The site is slightly sloping, planted with trees and with two clean but somewhat dated toilet/shower blocks although only one was open at the time of our visit, perhaps because the site was nowhere near at capacity. The toilet block also accommodates separate male/female showers (two in each), an information kiosk, a chemical disposal point and a shower for the disabled. Pitches vary in size and type. We were pitched on an unattractive slab of sloping, broken concrete and gravel. This is not a particularly child friendly site. The play area is well away from the the main pitches, out of sight and near a busy road and was consequently never used. The site should have been teeming with children during this school break but seems mainly to be used by couples or families with older children. The site is well situated for exploring the surrounding area and there are a couple of pubs nearby serving good food. The Manifold Trail for cycling or walking is about 20 minutes drive away. Take your choice of supermarkets in Leek. The main reason we will not be returning however is because of the officious and impolite attitude of the warden who, judging from previous reviews, seems to have a few 'off' days. I sincerely hope he is not typical of the C&CC. After all it does advertise itself as 'The Friendly Club'!

Usual high standard of facilities on a C & C C site. Very friendly Managers. We thought it was lovely and will go back again. The dog walk is adequate for morning and evening walkie s / business. There is a reservoir nearby that has a visitor centre and plenty of surrounding walks. The dogs loved it. Although we were on hard standing in a Combi Camp and a caravan, the tenting area looked very nice and was close to an amenities block.

Just come back from a weekend here. Site toilet block cleanest we've seen yet. In fact all the facilities were in good clean condition. On arrival we were shown to our pitch, despite a sloping field it was very wet, but in fairness when I phoned they had said so, so no complaints! The only down-side for us was no ball games, even in the playground, which floored my son. He lives for his football so was a bit put out but never mind. The local pub is worth a visit and if you've got kids Tittesworth Res. Is definitely worth visiting. Lovely walks, big children's play areas, and the cafe serves a mean Breakfast Bap! In all a good weekend.

We finished off our holiday here for a 2 night stay. The staff were lovely & the man took us to our pitch & helped us. There is a small park & that's all, but it is still a nice site. Typical of caravan & camping sites, clean toilets etc.
We went to the 3 horseshoes pub for the carvery, the food was beautiful & the staff were very nice.
Leek is a lovely town with some decent shops. We took a trip to manchester the scenic route over the hills to macclesfield, we came across a lovely tea room on the road, wish I could remember it's name. It was great & the staff were wonderful, great northern hospitality. We had a lovely drive home via sheffied the scenery between leek & sheffield was lovely.
If we were going to the area again, would go to this site. It is a great base & near to alton towers & stoke.

This site is very clean and very well kept, hard standings are very very hard and rock pegs are a must on this site. Very close to Leek which we used to get shopping, but the main places of interest are all very close. Buxton, Castleton, Crich tramway centre, Matlock Bath, great walking and views just 5 mins up the road at the Roaches. We will most likly come back and use this site again.

We stayed at this site for two weeks, the staff where very helpful and efficient. The toilets and shower blocks where kept immaculate with loads of hot water at all times. The grounds are spotless and they also adhere strictly to the six meter code so don’t try to place windbreaks connecting caravans they will tell you to move them.
The one area where they could save energy and help enhance the site is by putting sensors on the toilet block lights so that they only operate on approach.
The site is slightly sloping especially on the tent field so blocks are a must; the hard pitches are just that very hard, steel pegs are needed.
The views are superb and you are only a short drive from the Roaches, the Roaches Tea Rooms are a must to visit for excellent food, the Three Horseshoes down the road can be expensive a carvery is around £8.00 a head.
The onsite shop is very very limited for stock but there is an Aldi and Morrison’s in Leek a short drive away and for expat’s an Oatcake shop directly opposite Aldi, this is an ideal site to visit the Peak District watch out for the 17% incline in and out of the site on the A53.
