Well I said we would return and we have just spent another 12 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it once again. Its such a peaceful site and prety much central to were we wanted to be. The toilets and showers were still spotless and we made use of the washing machine too.
There is now an area to walk the dog but I prefered a walk down the lane. My daughters spent a lot of time feeding bread to the chickens and grass to the lambs, one of which she named Emily and wanted us to buy it for her!
We had heavy rain and wind whilst there and Mr and Mrs Foulkes came over to make sure we were all ok, they are a lovely family and the site is a credit to them. We shall return.

Really liked this site - it has really stood out among the sites we have visited on Anglesey.

We stayed round first bank holiday in May, was very quiet. Road to site is a bit windy but if anyone is coming the other way they usually have the good sense to reverse - especially if you have a caravan on the back! The size of the pitches was by far the most amazing thing about this place - never before have we been to a site with such generous pitch spaces! Facilities are fine, clean and well looked after.

I think we'll be booking this one well in advance next year to avoid disappointment!

OK - now forget everything I said - you've never seen or heard of this place - as others have said - this one is worth keeping secret!

Dont listen to me waffling on! just read all the other reviews for this site because it is a real diamond! Everything said is as you would find, a genuine family site with full facilities and a safe place for families with children to relax and enjoy the open air.
Site is in driving distance to many local attractions, towns and shopping facilities. It is a little off the main road but feel would also be ideal for cycling as lanes are quiet and you could ride to alot of the nearby locations too. The Foulkes family are really honest hard working people and always friendly and ready to help. One word of warning though! book early as it is so popular!
Well worth a visit! Do try it!

Just had 4 great night at this lovely little site.We were pitched in a seperate small field which was empty apart from my sisters tent next to us. Its not a big site so there is only one male toilet and one female toilet and two showers which were all in the same new toilet block and were immaculate. There is also what looks like a shed but when you go in, its a lovely spacious bathroom (shower, sink and toilet), great for me and the kids to go together and once again, spotless.
Lots of sheep and chickens for the kids to look at and plenty of wildlife. There is a well stocked shop a couple of miles away or there is an Asda in Llangefni.
A bit futher afield is a Tesco in Bangor or Tesco and Iceland in Holyhead (these are the ones we used).
There is a fridge and freezer on the site which we made use of and they also have a washing machine to use for a small fee. We were supposed to be staying another night but decided to leave in case it rained as our tent was leaking, the owner saw us packing and came and gave us the money back for that day. Something he didn't have to do but he was a real nice guy anyway. We will be coming back here in the very near future.

Stayed at this site for a week starting on the Saturday of the Easter weekend. The owner had been very helpful on the phone when booking and we therefore knew to follow his directions (from his website) and found the camp site first time. The owner was there to welcome us as we arrived explaining where all the facilities were and giving us a welcome pack - even offering to reverse in the caravan if we needed it.

The site is well kept and although Easter weekend, I never had to wait for a shower or toilet which were spotlessly clean (although as previously mentioned no toilet paper or hand-drying facilities - which is OK when you know to take your own - AND SHOWERS ARE FREE).

The site is idealy placed for the whole island. We managed to see most places of interest on the island and returned to the campsite for a peaceful nights sleep. We did not see much of the owners, but it was lambing season, and despite this, the toilets and site were kept immaculate. All the surrounding fields have lambs or other animals, and it was fantastic. I would recommend staying at this site for a peaceful holiday with a great view of Snowdonia (on a good day!) from the site.

The only small downside, was that there was not a small 'dog run' to allow the dogs off the lead first thing and last thing at night - but it gave me good exercise running around the site with the dogs on a lead! A great break away.

This was our first trip out in our new folding camper after replacing the old Cabanon at the end of the year. We had a great 5 days here, the pitch was level and as the site is fairly small we could allow the children to roam free and explore whilst being able to see them at all times.

The new toilet block was very clean - only downside was that it lacked toilet paper - no hardship really apart from remembering to take it with you!

We visited Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd and also the nearby Henblas Country Park which is a small farm park where you can ride tractors, watch dogs round up the ducks, feed the lambs and there is a good indoor play zone too - the kids loved it.

We live close to Anglesey and have stayed at a few sites here, this one being the best as it is in a good location, small and the owners were very friendly. We would return.

Had a late week here after the bad summer, phoned the night before then just turned up, its a little tricky to find first go but after that its a doddle.

On arrival you drive into what is basically a large front garden with caravan EHUs on the left & tents on the right but if you want EHU in your tent you just pitch on the other side. The first 2 EHU pitches are a bit lumpy but all are on level well maintained grass.

There is a new toilet block which is spotless & the hot water is free, there is also a wooden 'wendy house' with toilet, sink, shower & mirror all in one.

This is a cracking little site & the fresh eggs off the owners are brilliant.

The quiet at night is brilliant & you wouldn't believe how many stars you can see.

Only 5 minutes from the main road, you can be anywhere on the island in 30 minutes.

Brilliant site, peaceful (don't tell everyone as we like it this way) the only down side is that there are only three toilets, one ladies, one gents and one who ever gets there first, and also the same for the showers.

Having said all this we are still going back later this month

Just come back from weekend at the Fronydd. A nice quiet site, choice of 2 small paddocks to pitch tent. Owner very friendly. A new toilet block with 2 toilets and showers very clean and tidy. Ideal for families with small children as small sand pit with swings etc on site. A long winding lane to access the site with only a few places to pass oncoming vehicles. A very reasonable rate for weekend. Good place to get away from it all.

What a relaxing 6 days me my wife and our Black Lab have had at this lovely, quiet, clean site.
Mr Foulkes was ready to help if we had any problems, the fresh eggs on site were tasty like shop ones can't be!
The site is only 10 minutes from Newborough forest, 700 Hectares of trees and dunes, the dog loved it. Be warned though, if you go to the main forest car park, you have to pay 3 quid to go through a barrier, then a mile drive to the beach only to see a sign as we pulled up. "no dogs". We used the first car park we saw on the way, free and dogs allowed. Toilets and showers on site nice and clean. But the peace and quiet did it for us. Thoroughly recommended.
