Just spent end of may to the beginning of June here and what a great week we had. This is a lovely quiet and clean site. The kids loved it too. The owners were very helpful. There is going to be a extra toilet and shower being built. Enjoyed it that much we are hoping to return in August.

Another excellent campsite. We were the only people staying there when we went for a couple of days in May, which meant we had full run of the facilities. The toilet/shower cabin was really nice and clean, although there was only one shower and toilet so it may get busy at peak times. Although it says the site only has eight pitches so it shouldn't get too overcrowded. The owner was lovely and made us feel really welcome. We didn't actually view much of Anglesey as we spent most of our time sunbathing at the site. Although we did get lost quite a few times as some of the road signs can get quite confusing when you stray from the A roads. You get signs for a certain place and then you get to the next junction and there are no signs so you haven't a clue which way to go. All adds to the fun I suppose :)

We are family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children and our dog and we had an absolutely fantastic time at Y Fronydd. The facilities were excellent and kept spotlessly clean. Reasonable rates also. The owners were the friendliest we have ever come across on the Island and they were very helpful too. A very quiet peaceful site, but within easy access of Newborough beach, shops, etc. A beautiful part of the Island. We shall certainly be coming back year after year.

What a fantastic welcoming place, we got lost (as usual) and rang the owners they were very helpful and even rang back to see if we were any nearer. The campsite is very well kept, our dogs were welcome and it was a very safe area for our daughter. There was a play area, hot running water for the pots, there was drinking water facilites.
The only downside was that there was only one shower this was housed in a very attractive hut with a toilet and sink and was cleaned every evening, and although should be adequate for the maximum of 8 tents allowed the caravaners used these also, and with a few of the caravanners having teenager daughters it could be lenghty getting in there! There was also a portaloo at the far end of the field but really the waiting for a shower was tough. I think the site is a new venture so maybe next time we go another cubile maybe added.
I would throughly recommend this campsite and we shall definitely return on a regular basis "a really find" so dont tell everyone!

I was VERY impressed with how friendly the chap who was running the site was, we phoned almost last minute for the bank holiday week and found they had a space for us. The site is in the middle of the Island amongst farmland, very quiet, but with a Spar shop only 5 mins away in the car which catered for most things.
The site was very clean and the grass well cut, with plenty of bins etc. My only slight problem was that there was only one toilet and shower, located in a log cabin on the site. On speaking to the owner he did say that if there were more tents then he usually hires a portaloo to suppliment the toilets, he also said that more toilets was his very next job. That said it wasn't really a problem as there were not a huge amount of people and barring the bank holiday we very rarely had to wait.
We only paid £8 per night for the pitch none of this paying extra for this and that, which I think was very good value. I would say that this is a relatively new venture and you can tell the owner, who lives on site, still cares about what people think. There was an excellent play park on the site which was filled with sand, just in case you can't make it to the beach !
There is a country farm park called Henblas a short distance from the park which was well worth a visit, especially with the younger children in mind.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be using more of these type of smaller sites in the future.
