 What a little gem of a site Exmoor House is. It's the usual VERY HIGH Caravan Club standard - facilities and warden-wise! It only has 64 pitches, all of which are hard-standing with loads of room. The site even do cream teas for £3.45 (for 4 scones, 4 jams and cream - what a bargain!). It's only 200 yards walk to the closest pub (very social as all the campers eat there in the evening so you get to compare notes!) that does 'OK' food (nothing special and not too cheap) but the cider was good!
The small town of Dulverton has everything else you'd need for a short break. Co-op, newsagents, chemist, a few more pubs/bars and a fantastic little tearoom (The Copper Kettle) that takes dogs inside and out! Perfect. The walks around the area are fantastic. Don't miss Burridge Woods (carpeted by bluebells this weekend - May Bank Holiday - and smelling of fantastic wild garlic!) - the wardens gave us superb directions and we never got lost once! You can also walk to Tarr Steps along the river BUT it's 6.5 miles each way!
We would highly recommend this site - great for us for weekends as it's only 1.5 hours drive away!
