We went to this place the first time to meet up with some other campers.
We found this Camp Site quite easy as it was well sign posted. We parked up were we wanted to stay and walked to the pub to register and paid £5 per person. Our Dog was welcome too, but she has to be on the lead in the pup and on site all the time. The people were really nice and the pub looked welcoming. We have not tried any food in there as we brought our own.
The toilet facilities are not the cleanest, but usable. I always bring my own disinfectant stuff anyway. Make sure you bring your own soap too as there was none there. There is a small washing up sink outside the building. Unfortunately there is no mains to plug in.
The site itself is beautiful next to a canal and there were quite a few boats there to look at. You can walk along the canal easely. I am having walking disabilities and it is all smooth and flat to walk on.
I can well recommend this place, if you overlook the toilet situation.

We've been coming to this site since 1998, unfortunately, the site seems to be poorly maintained these days. Bins were emptied just the once during the 5 days we were there. Toilets and showers were not cleaned at all and nobody cleared up the dog muck that was lying around.
At £5 per head per night, I don't feel this site is good value. :(
The surrounding area is still wonderful to visit however. The Avebury complex is a short drive away as are the towns of Marlborough (great curry house) and Devizes. Devizes boasts lots of shops, great pubs and the very wonderful Wadworths brewery. There is also lots of walking country e.G. The Kennet and Avon canal towpath and the Wansdyke.

Stayed at this site on the way to Bournemouth Airshow last week, Its very basic and the pub is amazing.Honeystreet is twinned with Roswell in New Mexico (according to a sign behind the bar)and this would seem appropriate. Its a bit expensive for the basic facilities on offer but worth it for the convenience of being next to such a great pub. We had our 3 kids with us and they took over the back room pool table. There seemed to be a few locals who were serious pool players (own cues etc) who were very tolerant of them and there was a good atmosphere. The mural on the ceiling is wonderful and all the Crop Circle stuff is fascinating (don't believe the hype though, hello Doug and Dave). We ended up staying again on our return trip 4 nights later. There had been a music festival on the previous night and the toilets (which were sad to begin with)were 'flooded'.There were a few'Traveller' types still there and one van had its own solar powered cinema with a huge screen showing the last Bond Film which intrigued the kids. I would summarise by saying this is a great site for an overnight stay(for the ambience of the pub alone). The kids found the toilets a bit scary they said.My wife and I really liked the pub though.

This site reminds me of my old pub back in the seventies, in the days we had 'freedom' in our realm!
You don't go to this site for the facilities, no electricity for a start and very basic wash facilities. You visit the site for the ambience and the opportunity to meet some wonderful people from all different walks of life and all ages. It is the second time I have been here and on both occasions amazingly friendly. The barge people who frequent this area have wonderful senses of humour and you can see that they don't take life too seriously, just enjoy it!
We arrived to some great live music in a marquee and felt we were at a mini Glastonbury without the mud and the corporate business type. A van parked next to us also had an owner who sang and played incredible guitar for three hours in the morning, don't know who he was but could have listened to it all day!
Also spotted a famous actor and actress there camping in a tent with their family.
The pub is great and I really enjoyed my steak which was about half the price I would have paid in London.
This is a site I wile return to as often as possible and I am only sorry that it is not open in the Winter.

Came back in the summer for this trip after my last visit in April
This site improves ten fold in the summer with the place busy, but never seeming overcrowded, with a very relaxed and chilled feel about the whole place.
We spent two nights here and ate in the pub on both nights and the food is reasonably priced, with quick service and was lovely on both occasions. The selection of drinks and real ales is great if you like a tipple of something different
The ambience in both the pub and campsite was very relaxed with nobody seeming to rush or worry about things, this was perfect for me and gave the opportunity to relax completely.
As has been said before basic toilet and shower, but they work and they did what they were supposed to do.
In season this site is far far better than out of season and one that I will return to when staying in the area, and if you like visiting the surrounding areas of Silbury Hill, Avebury, the White Horses, crop circles and all that this fabulous part of the country has to offer, this site is perfect.

As covered before the sites facilities are 'basic' and not in the charming rural way. The outdoor hot tap is very useful but the facilities are limited. The site itself is a field of not large proportions and this leads to a cramped feel. The pub is great but I have found this is a site for the alternative members of society and those wanting something different. All in all £5 is not massive amounts but when you have the evening guitar chorus and children running about constantly does not make for a peaceful setting. Shame because the pub is very very good!

Contacted the site many weeks before arrival and was told that there was no need to book as Glastonbury was on and it would be very quiet.
Drove quite a way to get there only to be told that the Barge Inn were holding there own annual music festival and it was going to become VERY cramped. As you can imagine we were not very pleased. Stayed just one night and moved on before the crowds arrived.
Nice setting but very basic facilities and not very clean. We thought expensive for what was on offer.
If it had not been for the lady who seems to look after the site and lives in a caravan near the entrance then we would have turned around there and then, she did try and make us welcome.

A great site if you want to play 'Spot-the-hippies I-Spy'. Rainbow-striped jumpers? Check. 'Humorous' bumper stickers about illicit substances? Check.
The barn area behind the pub looks pretty ramshackle (I wouldn't want to risk losing a toddler in it, mind you being right next to a canal this probably isn't a site for families with young kids anyway), and I couldn't find the alleged dishwashing facilities--but the hot shower was surprisingly good.
The site has rules but they didn't seem to be enforced, which might be an issue for some. Notably, there were dogs running round the grass, at least one big campfire, and music going quite late. Unfortunately the lax attitude spilled over into the big hollow trees between the field and the canal--which have ropes for swinging and would be fun to climb on--being stuffed with rubbish.Yuk!
I ate in the pub one night--not the most exciting food (spicy vegetable nuggets or similar) but OK. The room with the crop circle stuff (one of the reasons I chose this site rather than another in the area) is quite interesting, but shared with a pool table--so don't spend too long in there when it's busy or you'll feel a bit crowded out.
Pewsey is an easy bike ride away, doesn't have a huge selection of takeaways, but the curryhouse is good if you arrive at the campsite too late for food at the pub (as I did) or don't fancy braving it on a busy night.

We stopped at the Barge for just one night and upon arrival when to check in only to discover that at this time of year they do not offer food on a Monday in the pub. We decided to stay and knock up something from the cupboards to eat.
The site is just one large field, not the flattest or smoothest, but they do not sell it as anything different. There is a fresh water tap, one male shower and toilet and one female shower and toilet. The toilets were not in the best shape, however they were receiving a coat of paint when we were there and although old were perfectly usable and did the job. There is also a washing up area for the dishes, which is handy.
There is no lighting on the site, so at night it can be rather dark, however on a clear night who need lights when there is the moon for that. There are no electric hookups on site, and it is a case of drive in, find a spot, check in, pitch up and chill. The site sits along the canal, although the camping field is below the canal, so from the field you do not get to watch the boats go by. Being on the canal there is walking aplenty in both directions.
The site is quite remote in the middle of Crop Circle country and the nearest shops are not walkable, but a drive away. However what this does provide is walking in abundance and plenty of hills, fields and sites to see with ancient burial grounds, stone circles and more.
The pub is very much geared toward crop circles and the back room with the pool table is a museum of crop circle photos and articles and check out the artwork on the ceiling. There is plenty of choice of drinks, however I cannot comment on the food as they were not serving.
At £5 per person over 12 and £2.50 for all others I found this site quite expensive for what was on offer, which was not a lot and cost £17.50 for the night. This is a very basic site is such a peaceful location, however it is not sold as anything else and if you go forewarned and prepared, then site site will be fine.
Three 3G signal was available here.

If you want to get away from life, back to basics then the camp site at Honey Street is for you. It is quiet and set in the middle of the Wiltshire countryside.
For me it was all of this and more. The toilet and shower is basic, just how I like it. The pitches were dry when I arrived. When the weather turned wet the ground got a bit puddled, glad I brought my wellies with me.
Small shop near by that has all the basics that you need.
The walks along the Kennet and Avon are just wonderful
If you like real ale then just pop in to the old worldy pub with an open fire just great.
I would go there again
