Yet another excellent stay at West End Farm. Chris is an excellent host and his site is a credit to him. We will return again and again and again and again.
Toilets and showers spotlessly clean as usual.
Chris was his usual excellent understanding self who helped us and even went online to find out some information about a show we wanted to go to in Spilesby. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Nearby Mablethorpe has everything you need a Lidl, a Co-Op, fun fair, usual slots and shops. Louth is a must, a quaint little market town. A visit to the Turks Head for Sunday Lunch 11 - 2pm is a must, excellent value for money, other excellent pubs and restaurants are in the surrounding area.
All in all a lovely, well run, spotlessly clean site. A credit.

Just spent our fist weekend at West End Farm, we're planning on a re-visit in early Sept. We don't visit sites just to review them so this is just our opinion of a lovely little site.
We had a great time at this site, fairly basic but with everything you need. The pitches were flat enough, no deep holes or gullies etc. Easy to pitch on despite there being a tree in ours! We ended up encroaching on the next pitch across with the extension but Chris (the owner) was fine about it. There was ample electric points around for us, it tripped out once at the mains but after a phone call to Chris it was back on in minutes. Water points near the toilet block and somewhere else on site (we didn't find it tho!). The toilets were clean and had soap and paper towels. The showers were a tad hot for our little boy but the temperature was fine for adults, Chris said this was to enable the pressure to be constant. Makes sense and anyhoo kids aren't interested in showering when they camp! The reception hut has a fridge and freezer for the use of campers. There are plenty of leaflets about local facilities available in there too. The play area is a set of swings! But ball games are fine in the central area.
The local area is lovely, long dog walks, trips to the beach at Mablethorpe which is our son's favourite place in the world! He loves the lido and small fair. The beach is dog friendly and the place just seems more upmarket than nearby Skegness, a proper English seaside town really. There's a shop, pub and Italian takeaway in Manby, the pub food is great and they allow dogs in (The Lancaster Inn), the shop is a Londis but the Italian was a little disappointing.
All in all a lovely site, basic but with enough to be a base to spend a lovely few days away from home in beautiful countryside with a proper seaside town nearby. Perfect. And only £18 a night for a tent, 2 adults, 1 kiddywinky and a dog.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at west end farm This was our 1st experience of camping for myself and hubby. We must say we must of dropped on lucky to find such a lovely site for a 1st time. We had previously looked up reviews on here for the site and they were spot on. The owner Chris is friendly and is there to assist you if needed but then on the other hand he keeps his distance to allow you the privacy and peace that some camper prefer. The pitches are level and very generous sizes not being to close to your neighbouring tent. The showers and toilets are spotless which was one of my concerns about camping, but I just needn't of worried at this site. I will be recommending this site to friends and family. Thanks Chris for making our 1st camping trip a pleasant one and for your hard work keeping the site to the standards that they are.

Just arrived home from West End Farm. What can I say, absolutely fantastic!
The site itself is incredibly clean, including recently erected toilet/shower/potwash block and grass perfectly level and well kept. The price was more than reasonable at £15 for two adults a dog and electric hook up, my sister only had to pay £15 for 2 adults 1 child and a dog. Chris the site owner couldn't be any better at what he does, welcoming, helpful and perfectly laid back he even offered use of the site frige and freezer (available free of charge). There are wooden benches around the site, again free to use and carry to the tent.
The site is very secure with a security coded gate and has great access to the surrounding countryside and llama farm.
As Louth is the nearest town we shopped at Morrisons there which is a pleasant 10 minute drive from the site.
Would we go back?? It's a no brainer it is one of the best sites we have ever stopped at and will continue to do so as long as Chris will have us.

Just got home from 2 nights at this site and I cant really fault it. Its only a 30 minute drive from us and perfect for a little bolt hole. The site is quite off the beaten track but it is well signposted. We were greeted by the owner and told where to pitch. We were 2 tents and utility tent and there was plenty of room for us to pitch. The grass was level and the ground soft which made pegging out nice and easy.
There is a clean toilet block with free hot showers, they consisted of 2 toilets and 2 showers in the ladies and I assume the same in the mens. There was also a washing up area with 2 sinks a kettle and a washing machine. The facilities were kept very clean.
The site is about 10 minutes from mablethorpe and half an hour to cleethorpes with a few historic towns in between. The site had 4 swings on it but that was it as far as a park is involved and unless you like walking there was not really a great deal in the direct vicinity off the site, however, we didn't see this as a problem at all as we were there for a nice relaxing weekend of doing as little as possible.
The site cost was £15-00 a night with electric and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful hideaway.

Just back from a 4 night stay at West End Farm. Decided to go after reading all the positive reviews - they were all right. On arrival we were able to pitch anywhere we wanted. The pitches were level and the grass was well kept. Peaceful location, sheltered from the wind and the shower/toilet block was spotless. Free use of the fridge and freezer; also a washing machine (if needed!) hairdryer in the ladies. Chris the owner is a very friendly, helpful man whom we enjoyed chatting to. Lovely surroundings and not far from Mablethorpe or the beaches. Skegness is well worth a visit. Will definitely be back next year.

A great get-away site, our second visit. We arrived the week after school resumed so we found the site very quiet, 3 other tents, a caravan and a motorhome.
The new shower/toilet block is a real improvement, the washing-up area has a clothes washing machine and electric kettle. Fridge and freezer also on-site for campers use. A few swings for the little ones but plenty of space to play about.
The site is kept immaculate with a variety of colourful trees bordering the grounds. The grass pitches are level and drain very well.
Several walking trails right off the site, nice beaches at Mablethorpe, shopping/supplies at Louth.
We'll return.

An absolute gem in the countryside. Just had our 3rd visit. Very peaceful surroundings (apart from the pigeons cooing).
The owner is very laid back and pleasant to talk to. Always wandering around to make sure everyone is ok. A new shower block this year. Very clean with nice warm showers.
On arrival we were given a choice of pitches. Pitches set out very informally and very spacious.
Pleasant dog walks in nice surroundings.

We have just returned from this campsite today, after reading all the other reviews had to see how good it was for ourselves, happily all the other reviews were correct.
The campsite is in a beautiful quiet area about 9 miles from mabilthorpe, We arrived and were given our pitches as we had 2 tents for 5 adults and 5 dogs, we were able to put up a gazebo which was a bonus as every other site we have visited has not allowed this, we also had wind breakers round both tents to keep the dogs in so our pitch was very big with no extra cost.
There was about 15 other tents there when we arrived they were spread out very well round the edge of the field so that children had plenty of room to play on the centre of the field, where there was a small swing set for the younger children.
The toilets and showers were always very clean and although in the mens and womens there were only 2 showers and 2 toilets we never had to wait for either.
We had a great time here as there are also good walks round the area, this was the first time I've ever been camping and stayed for all the days we were booked in for and even then I could of stayed longer.
We will be back.

What a beautiful campsite.
A perfect site for families.Lots of space for the children to play (we were even flying kites!)with a small set of swings.Set in peaceful countryside and only a short drive to the coast.
Mablethorpe is ideal for families, with a beautiful beach which is great for flying kites, and a small funfair. There are arcades and plenty of shops and places to eat.
Chris, the site owner couldn't be more helpful. He was always on hand and often walking round checking everyone was okay and happy.
The showers tend to lose pressure if taps are turned on in the wash area or other showers are used. They were always clean and were quite sufficient for us.
We visited The Wagon and Horses to watch the football and were made very welcome. Lovely pub and beautiful food.
We highly recommend this site and will certainly be going back.
