Just returned from a long weekend at west end farm. This is a lovely quite site hidden away from the everyday life which was brilliant just what we were looking for.
The showers and toilets were clean and didn't have any problems with the showers basic but clean. There was a washing machine and a hairdryer and a kettle which is good for the people that have tents.
Lots of places to walk but make sure you have some good walking shoes. Nothing in the surrounding areas but there is a pub wagon and horses. That doubles up as a local shop that's about 40 mins walk away and may I say the landlord and lady are very friendly and make you feel so welcome even our 4mth old puppy the food is also great and well worth the money.
We met chris on the way in to the caravan site and he made us feel very welcome and then he leaves you to settle in but if you have any problems he lives on site and is more than happy to help you. There is a swing for the children to go and play on but our kids are older now so they didn't come with us but I'm sure they would have enjoyed it if they did (maybe not all the walking) but that's teenagers for you.
The ground is very well drained and didn't get muddy at all even thou we had plenty of rain. We will be visiting this site again as we like the peace and quiet.

We have just come back from this site and have to agree with most of the previous comments. We booked in advance and were told to park where we liked when we arrived. We loved the fact that the site is broken up by lots of trees so you can have privacy if you want it. We parked in a sheltered area next to the toilet block which had electric hook ups for 4 so we knew we would only be sharing with 3 others (in this case tents) which left lots of room for kids and dogs to play! It was great for country walks but would have liked the beach to be nearer. We only have one complaint and that was about the showers. I never managed a warm shower in the ladies even when I went in at 7.30am my husband managed 1 hot shower when he went in a 6am and half a hot shower at 7am another day. Apart from that a lovely site if you want nothing close by.

Lovely campsite, Nice & friendly, not too big but spacious, spent two nights here last weekend, great shower & toilet facilities nice & clean hot water etc also including a laundry room with a plug socket for hairdryer etc if you don't have a EHU. Ideal for families as there is a play area & all the kids were having fun, playing hide & seek etc, Also great as its dog friendly =;0)

Me and 3 of my friends, aged 18-19 came for my birthday in the April for three nights, not many sites would allow us as were young, and judged us before meeting us.
We had a fantastic time, on an electric pitch.
We found the spaces between pitches were very spacious.
The owners of the site were extremely helpful and very nice esp when I had some car troubles.
The toilets and showers were always clean, but unless you want a cold shower try and make sure no one else is using one of the others, but that is what's to be expected when camping.
Driving is a must when visiting this site, so you must be willing to use the car, but with mablethorpe only being a 15 min drive away its really not too bad.
Chris the owner has said that he would have us back any time! And we are planning our next trip!

We have just returned from our second stay at West End Farm and found it as enjoyable as the first time we stayed.
The owner, Chris was as friendly and helpful as ever, and all facilities still kept to a high standard.
It rained heavily during our stay but the whole site is flat and even so there was no problem with water logging.
This really is a lovely site that the whole family are looking forward to visiting again soon.

This is a Fantastic Campsite. We were able to set up more or less where we wanted, very spacious pitches, toilet facilities clean, showers clean, and for those of you without electric, there is a plug socket in the laundry room for your phones, straighteners etc. Great for kids and a lot of friends to meet, though we didn't take our kids we wouldn't think twice about doing so in the future. Owners super friendly, dog friendly, in which there are some fab walks and bridle paths along fields, and if you walk on a certain route you see llamas, and a historical Methodist church. Somewhat overgrown but still a nice sight. So to sum it up fantastic and relaxed :-)

Overall this site is very good, we expected the site to be busy as it was a Bank Holiday but we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly full with plenty of room between pitches and plenty of room to spread out. We picked this site because they do not insist on staying a certain number of nights if it is a Bank Holiday, but this is restricted to non EHU pitches which is ideal for us. The site is well set out but the facilities are close to the EHU pitches (mainly used by caravans) and the tent campers get to pitch a fair way away, which I never understand as caravans have facilities and tents don't. However apart from early morning nature calls it was not a problem. The facilities were clean and even when one of the ladies was blocked by lots of toilet roll it was quickly sorted out. There is only one washing up sink and after having to wait once we decided it was better to do our own washing up on our pitch, something which never bothers us and leaves the sink free for those who can't do that. The walks from the site were very good and we found the site easy to find. The site is very child friendly and I wouldn't really recommend you go at Bank Holidays or school holidays if you don't have kids, although the kids were generally well behaved playing football.
As there are no lights on this site it does go quiet when it gets dark which is a plus. Overall £9.00 a night for such a well kept neat and tidy site with a very nice owner is fantastic.
Not 100% sure where the peace and quiet was that everyone has talked about maybe for parents it is a bit quieter when the kids are off playing :).
Overall we would return but not in the school holidays or at a Bank Holiday that is just our preference but whenever you go you are sure to enjoy it.

We found this delightful little campsite through this website, a little hard to find but pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The owner was very helpful and even though it was a bank holiday weekend it wasn't overcrowded. We had two children age 5 and a dog and found the site very safe. There was a little playground and the children really enjoyed themselves. The owners children were very friendly and brought out the chickens for the the kids to see. Toilets basic but did the job, ladies shower very hot but kept very clean. We will definitely be returning well worth a visit if you want peace and quiet and some nice walks. Louth only 10 minute drive away.

We have just returned home from a Bank Holiday Weekend stay at West End Farm.
Per night we were charged. £5.00 Per Pitch £2.00 Per Adult £1.00 Per Child
The site was spacious and although fairly busy never felt crowded. There was plenty of room for the children to play football, explore and make friends.
The owner and his young son were very helpful and friendly. The owner was always around if we were to need help but left us to enjoy our stay in peace.
This was our first camping trip and we were a bit nervous as to what the showers and toilets would be like but we were pleasantly surprised, they were always clean and the showers were free and fairly spacious with plenty of hot water. Although we went over a bank holiday weekend we never had to queue for neither shower nor toilets.
In the ladies shower block there is a room with a washing machine (I don't know if there is a charge to use it as we didn't have the need) there is also a large sink in there and plug sockets for using hair driers etc.
In the reception building we were told by the owner that there was a fridge and freezer and we should feel free to use them. We didn't need to use them so cant comment on them.
All in all we had a fantastic stay and before leaving we booked our next visit.
The only down side we could see is that there are no shops close by, the closest would be in Louth which could be a pain if you ran out of milk, other than that we cant find any fault at all with this lovely site.
