What a hidden gem this out in the lovely Lancashire countryside and yet very close to Blackpool. The site is extremely well run and cared for by the owners who seem to be working or cleaning most of the time. The pitches were extremely large more of a super pitch size. I would recommend this to anyone and certainly will be returning soon. Toilets and showers very clean only downside was the 50 pence charge for the shower! Although we had no children with us it looked a bit too quiet for children to me, more for the mature camper.

What a lovely site. Linda is very helpful and gives you information on places to visit. When I phoned, Linda explained the site was not open to tents just yet. But when I told her I was taking my son on his first trip to see if he would like it, she offered to let us stay. I'm so glad we did.
Beautiful views and lovely area. Everyone there was very friendly. I will be taking my wife and family hopefully very soon. There was no play area there but Linda told of one nearby.
Also there are many places to visit.

Excellent quiet site, well maintained and looked after by owner. Site recently expanded to accommodate more vans etc and well placed waste and fresh water points.
Excellent and well maintained (heated) toilet block with excellent facilities for disabled.
Ideal for visiting Blackpool and surrounding places of interest. Site enjoys regular visitors and caravanners always friendly.

We visited the site late August bank holiday. Brilliant little site. We are new to caravanning and had only been on the larger sites, but this was so much better.
The site was extremely well kept and great layout. The booking was easy and directions to the site spot on.
Lovely and quiet, no noise from nearby M55. Easy access to the site.
Having been used to sites with a shop/reception it as a little strange at first, but Mr and Mrs Johnson were friendly and helpful and always around. The more permanent campers very pleasant and helpful.
No park for small children if you have them, but small field by the entrance for ball games.
Great dog walk in adjoining fields. Plenty of wildlife, hares, birds etc.
Morrisons only 5 minutes away in Kirkham. 10 minutes into Lytham St Annes / Blackpool. Loads to do in nearby area, from fishing, shooting, water skiing.
No problem with visitors for the day. Good security with key access to site.
We didn't want to leave and will try to get back to this great site again.

As previously stated this is a little gem of a site, The tent field is a small meadow with each pitch named after a countryside animal. We were positioned on 'Field Mouse.' The pitch sizes are very generous and there is only space for eight tents. There is limited EHU availability, with cables coming through from the adjacent caravan field. The grass was of excellent quality with a well drained flat field.
The toilets/shower facilities were spotless with two toilets and shower for male and female, as well as a disabled and a mixed toilet/shower. There were recycling facilities and a courtesy box with books/magazines available to borrow and add to.
The site is just off junction 4 of the M55 into Blackpool, however it is very much in the countryside and no traffic noise could be heard.
It is ideal for accessing Blackpool and the surrounding area. Although it is not advertised as an adult only site, Mrs Johnson, the owner, stressed on a number of occasions that she runs a nice quiet site and reiterated that children creating noise or messing about in the toilets wouldn't be tolerated. Fortunately we don't have to worry about our kids and we mostly went for days out, but its probably worth noting that it is a very quiet site, but thoroughly recommended.

Just returned from this site after a 5 day stay. Its a wonderful site which is in a lovely, quiet location and not too far from shops and local attractions. The site itself is very well run, clean and the tent field is lovely and flat.
The whole site is well cared for and is a credit to its owners. The toilet block is clean, as is the wash up area and there are plenty of bins located around the site.
The locked gate entry is a great idea. As others have said no play area or shop but you are so close to Blackpool it doesn't really matter. All in all a wonderful little site and I would highly recommend it and I would use it again if I was camping in this area.

We have just returned from a weekend camping at Little Orchard Caravan Park, it was our first camping holiday & we thoroughly enjoyed it even though the rain came as we were erecting our tent! The other reviews are spot on - peace & quiet and the facilities are excellent. The toilet & shower blocks were spotless. We will definitely be returning soon.

This is a little gem of a site. 30 hard standings and a little meadow for tents. lovely spotless clean toilets. plenty of bins dotted around the site and a lock gate system for security that really works well. Nothing for children and shops and pubs about mile and a half away. for a really nice quiet time this is it, only peace and quiet here and everybody friendly. would I go back O Yessssssssss

An immaculately clean site with a very relaxing atmosphere. A credit to the very high standards of the owner, Mrs Johnson.
There is no shop, bar or play area for children. Just clean and adequate shower/toilets along with plenty of peace and quiet. There is also a washing up area and chemical disposal facilities.
The site is not far from Junction 3 of the M55 so is easily accessible to novice tourers like myself. However, it sits in the tranquil farmland sandwiched between Greenhalgh and Weeton so, while you relax in the sunshine with a glass of wine, you feel like you are miles away from anywhere.
There are many good places to eat and drink. The following are some that we have tried and wholeheartedly recommend: The Eagle & Child in Weeton village (a pleasant 20 minute walk across fields in sunny, dry weather) serves good food and has a lovely beer garden at the rear. The Ship at Elswick is another pub that serves good food in nice surroundings. This too has a nice beer garden. The Shard Hotel has a good restaurant which overlooks pleasant views across the banks of the river Wyre. The Kingfisher in Wesham offers a generous carvery at a very affordable price.
For groceries, there is a Morrison's in Kirkham or you could try the excellent Booth's in Poulton-le-Fyle or Lytham.
In terms of places to visit, Lytham St Annes is a must. Lytham has a charming, bustling high street with pleasant cafes and gift shops. Strolling along St Annes promenade is like stepping back in time as it has a very traditional sea-side feel about it. It also has great views over the Ribble estuary and out to the Irish Sea. On a clear day you can see across to Snowdonia in Wales.
The area is great for cycling too as the Fylde is fairly flat terrain. There are many country lanes and you can cycle along the promenade for much of the way up from Lytham to Cleveleys.
