Arrived on Good Friday, a sunny but windy day. Considering this was the Easter weekend the site fees are very well priced at £14.50 a night for hard standing with electric hook up.

The gate is locked for security but a quick phone call to the owner and she arrived in her car quickly, had a good look at us and then asked us to follow her to our pitch. Took a few minutes to get to the pitch as she stopped and had a chat with everyone she saw! Our pitch was a spacious, level, hard standing pitch with electric hook up opposite a small orchard. All pitches are well set out in two areas and there is no over crowding. The site is so peaceful despite being close to the main road and the M55.

The owner explained the layout of her site and the rules she had in place. This 5’ lady knew exactly what she expected from her campers and these rules were obviously respected by everyone as it was an immaculate site.
Every facility was close by - the water, the disposal points, recycling points, toilet block etc with dustbins present over the whole site. The shower block had male and female facilities along with a unisex room with shower, toilet and wash basin. A mop and bucket were by every shower and the owner encouraged everyone to clean up after themselves and it was very evident that everyone did! Everywhere was spotless no matter what time you went.
The owner takes great pride in looking after the cleaning herself and she was always around a couple of times during the day making sure the toilet block was clean and the litter was not building up around the bins. There was not a spot of litter anywhere. She always had a smile on her face and had a chat with everyone she saw as she went about her jobs, nobody was ignored.

There are a few pubs and restaurants a mile or so from the site. We visited the Blue Anchor which is run by Rachel and Tony who are very welcoming hosts. The food is reasonably priced and we had some very nice meals there; the lager is highly recommended! The petrol station on the main road has a shop where you can get a paper, milk etc.

The site is well placed for visiting Blackpool, Kirkham, Cleveleys and Fleetwood. Greenhalgh Fisheries is across the road from the site where you can fish all day for £7.

It was a pleasure to stay on such a quiet, well presented and welcoming site which is a credit to the owner. She knows what clientele she wants and the rules she has in place are for the benefit of the camper which makes for a very pleasant stay. We came away with our batteries recharged and shall certainly be returning.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Nice quiet location in pleasant countryside. Excellent and very clean toilet and washing facilities.

Not much in way of shops in the immediate area but there is a garage with all necessaries within 15 minutes walk, plus a pub and Indian restaurant. The owner was very friendly and was up for a laugh. Plenty to see in the area. We went to Lytham, Poulton-le-Fylde and Fleetwood but did not have enough time to see everything we wanted so we will definitely be back.

We went to this place with friends who have a tourer. (it was in their Caravan Club Book) After a false start trying to get in the site (the access track is bang opposite the lane end where you approach from - we missed it!) We found the lady owner very helpful. We had been booked down to share the (generous) pitch with the friends caravan, but as we also wanted a EHU for the tent, were given the pitch next to it in our own right. There are two fields, the first is surrounded by bushes - which gives some shelter.and an upper field thats a bit sparse at the mo as it only just been set out.

Its a very quiet sunny location, with a new shower and loos block (free - with as much time hot water as you want). As its billed as a caravan site, tents are thin on the ground, so theres never any queing for the facilitys for tent dwellers! Theres not much by the way of shops or anything else round and about - so go prepared!
There are a couple of pubs in the area that do food - but both are a decent hike - one across five fields! Nice if its sunny tho!

The owner has a big thing about noise and disruption, and told us that she wouldnt hesitate to refuse entry to ANYONE she didnt like the look of - or thought may disrupt the harmony of the place. Which was fine by me!

Entry to the site is thru a locked security barrier/gate, where everyone is given a key. So theres little chance of your kit being swiped by opportunists passing by. We will certainly return here for another lazy relaxing stay.
