We visited this site last week and I have only just got back from Cornwall to write this review. We arrived late due to various confusions at home, we were greeted with a smile and the owners could not have made us feel more welcome. We asked if there was a local pub and we were advised to try The Mill about 1 1/2 away.
This was a very good choice of pub and was well worth the money.
The toilet block is the cleanest you will ever find and I had no problem with the 3 children going into the toilets and shower room.
If you are going down to Cornwall or Devon this makes the perfect stop over. We will be back and would recommend this to ALL.

We had a warm and friendly reception when we arrived, the pitches are marked out and very spacious with plenty of room for our large tent and car.
The campsite was very peaceful although there was a busy road nearby, we were never bothered by the sound of the traffic.
I cannot praise the toilet and shower block enough as they were always clean with more than adequate shower and toilet facilities and plenty of hot water. This is probably the best toilet and shower block that we have experienced.
This is a good base for travelling around the Gloucester area, with several supermarkets close by if you run out of anything.

We are currently on this site as we've booked for the week and may stay longer.
We received a friendly welcome and were given a choice of spacious pitches.
The shower block is very new and has excellent, spotless facilities.
Plenty to see and do in the area - visit Frampton on Severn and the largest village green in England.
Like other reviewers we must mention the background noise from the M5 - noticeable but bearable.
The site would benefit from having a washing machine. That said, the site is very new and still being developed [tree planting etc] so this may well be part of the plan.

What an excellent site! We are relatively new to camping and wanted to try out our tent and equipment at a fairly local site. This one has very friendly and efficient owners, who are only too happy to put themselves out for their guests. This is reflected in the quality of the site.
Toilets and showers were fantastic, everything clean and well maintained. The water was always hot and it was nice to see baby friendly and disabled facilities. There was lots of space for the children to play, it would have been nice to see some sort of play equipment but this didn't matter too much. (Our children found lots of new friends to play games with instead!)
This site is ideally located for easy access from the motorway, visiting the Cotswolds, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Slimbridge WWT.
The on site shop sells the most basic essentials (not food). The nearest food store (Co-op) is in the village of Eastington, which is a short drive or decent walk away (depending on how strong your legs are feeling!).
All in all a superb start to our camping adventures, we would highly recommend it to others and will be returning ourselves.

It was immaculate, there were just so many little extra things that made you think the owners cared about their guests. There was a no hassle check in as we arrived late, called to the office following morning to pay.
Although we had no children with us, there were children playing on a field within the site and were having a good time. The toilet block was to die for, you could have eaten your meals off the floor in there. I've not seen any other site facilities like them. It was cleaned regularly and there was even books left in the entrance hall for people to buy with the proceeds going to charity, I thought this was a great idea.
Didn't visit surrounding area, other than sainsbury's, as we there to collect something we'd bought locally.
There was some background noise form M5 depending on wind direction, but it was not at all a problem. We liked the site so much we booked to return again while we were there.
After talking to the owners we found they really care about how the site looks and is maintained. They don't state that you have to book for a set number of nights, if its 1 night you want that's fine by them. As other sites do state no 1 night stay or 4/5 nights over bank holidays.
The small limited shop on site is very reasonably priced offering discounts on some products while staying.
This place is an absolute gem and do hope it always stays this way.
There is a garage just down the road, within walking distance but it is a busy A road, there are a few pubs / restaurants local but would advice taking the car. Or if walking in the night take a torch.

Stopped over for 1 nights stay on the way to S.Devon, friendly welcome, hard standings are a must, small site but well spaced apart and immaculately maintained, outstanding site, the shower block was the best I have ever seen and used,
I would highly recommend this site as a short term stay or over nighters, close to m5 and easy to get to, one that will stay in my satnav!

We have just had a lovely weekend at this fabulous site. It was immaculate, there were just so many little extra things that made you think the owners cared about their guests.
We would return every weekend if it were possible alas we live over a hundred miles away so its to no avail. The site was well maintained the pitches were a good size.
Although we had no children with us, there were children playing on a field within the site and were having a good time. The toilet block was to die for, you could have eaten your meals off the floor in there. Seriously they were good.
The surrounding villages were 'eye candy', easy access to the M5 and a pub within a mile. The lady on reception couldn't do enough for us.

If you want hook ups and the biggest, smartest, newest toilet block in town - this is for you.
There are only a handful of hardstandings here with all the rest on reasonably level grass. No other facilities on site ( no shop, play area or such like) and the road noise from M5 is a little intrusive at times.
Convenient for Stroud and Slimbridge but not exactly a holiday destination. All a little plain and utilitarian. Top marks on the toilets though which include a toddler washing room.

I don't usually write reviews but this Site deserves the time spent on writing this review. Well what a lovely week my Mother and I spent here in our Tent.
John the site owner is a lovely Man and very friendly. We arrived in the middle of a Bailey Caravan Rally, but he still managed to find space for our Tent. We had already read the reviews on this Site and could not wait to go and investigate the Showers and Toilets. It was so nice not to see my Mother doing the walk of dread to the toilets, as we so often do on other sites.
We spent quite a while chatting to John and complimenting him on his lovely site and especially the state of the Art shower block! He explained that having been a caravanner himself he had experienced some pretty horrific sites, and wanted to build the nicest site he could. Well 10/10 what a brilliant job.
We were not bothered by the M5 at all. It was only a distant hum. On the plus side being close to the M5 meant we were able to commute very easily to all our destinations!
Quite glad there was no play area at the Site, having no children ourselves we just appreciated the peace and quiet.
Keep up the good work John! We will definitely be back!

An excellent site with lots to do and see nearby. The owner and everyone in the area seemed really really friendly and helpful. The best and cleanest shower block ever a credit to all the staff. The background hum of the M5 wasn't a nuisance at all. A campsite to go back to as soon as possible. Slimbridge is well worth a visit and the Cotswolds not far away at all.
