Yaxham is a great site for families, with a super play area, and animals which the children can feed. The toilet / shower facilities were newly opened and kept very clean.
There is a well stocked shop with very reasonable prices and a cafe with an excellent menu.
There are however a couple of drawbacks, there are a few fishing lakes which for people who fish are great however none of them had liferings, which I find unusual considering it is a family site.
Also after making what I would consider a small complaint, I found that it was not dealt with in a professional manner.
All in all a pleasant stay but would be reluctant to return.

Nice quiet site, plenty of room to play games on the field and we were able to pitch anywhere but this may be different when fully booked, posts were being placed for bank holiday weekend and looked like the whole field would be taken up.
It was great to be able to have an open fire. Nice cafe and farm shop. The toilet and shower block was a temporary cabin and not up to much but the new shower block due to open end of May looked nice.
Good value for money, enjoyed our stay and would return but not in high season.

Recently returned from a 4 night stay in a Yurt.
What a great experience, the yurt is really well furnished with everything you can think of. It is lovely and cosy with lots of nice little touches, lots of lanterns to use in the evenings.
Outside there is a fire pit, BBQ and table and chairs for those sunny evenings.
The campsite should be nice once the building works are finished, the new toilet block is due to open soon. The cafe is great - really good breakfast.
I would recommend a stay in the yurt, it is a totally different experience but really enjoyable.

I had booked two pitches for two 7m tents and although we were given pitch numbers we found that someone was already on one of them so we were told to pitch how we wanted to, so we did and because of other bookings we had to move for the third night. This was quite inconvenient, moving two big tents isn’t easy.
The site is quite nice, although quite muddy as we were unfortunate with the weather. We were lucky enough to arrive the day after the new shower / toilet block had opened which was nice. The washing up block didn’t have hot water but there were notices up explaining this and that they were hoping to rectify this shortly.
There is fishing on site although you had to pay £4.95 per rod per day which is a bit expensive especially when you have three budding fishermen in the family!
There is a small play area for young children with a sand pit and various toys, some of which were broken. The farm is small and has goats and chickens on it for which you can buy food for in the shop. We didn’t use the shop as there is a large Tesco just a 5 minute drive away.
The cafe varied in price, a cup of tea was 75p which is ok but the same size cup of hot chocolate was £2.50! It seemed that all the staff in there was new apart from one, a little bit disorganised.
The fire pits you could hire were the inside drum of a washing machine, good idea! These cost £15 a day to hire and you were given logs, kindling and paper in the price.
We did enjoy the stay and the warden was very friendly but we probably won’t be going back.

As a regular campers with our own tent, we noticed this site has a lot to improve, but certainly has potential.
Shower Block: It just opened and it is very modern & new. But there was only luke warm water. Because of the construction around the shower block, we had to walk around the mud before getting to the new shower block. So ended up with the shower block being a bit muddy.
Pitch: Some campers had been assigned a pitch number, and some did not. So ended up there were some confusion over who pitched where. Also they had put too many tents in one field which was very crowded. If you think of a campsite allowing you a game of cricket or frisbee, this might not be ideal, as they had assigned pitched in the middle of the field.
In the same field, there were 6 to 7 pre-pitched tent, a marquee, and 2 yurts. We can't help but feeling like camping in a carpark.
Campfire: We booked this site because they allow campfires and we were disappointed of the firepit provided. This is the 4th campsite we have visited this year which allow campfires and this is the 1st one which provided us with a old tumble dryer drum as a firepit. So the romance and magic of a campfire have been rubbed off because we can only view the fire from above.
During our stay, we have noticed the management had improved the shower block and the field constantly. I am sure in a few years time, once they have improved, this would be an excellent family campsites.

Just got back from a great weekend at yaxham waters. Very peaceful and well maintained. The toilet and shower block is basic but the new one looks very nice, should've been open by now but building work was held up because of the snow earlier in the year.
Pablo and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the playground and feeding the animals, just got to remember our fishing stuff next time to try out the fishing lake.
we didn't use the cafe but it looks really good, the shop is excellent, with loads of local produce as well as most daily essentials, and the prices are really good.
we will definitely be returning for another stay.

Have just had an enjoyable weekend in a yurt on this site which we rented from natures path tipis / yurts
The yurt had a double bed, sheepskins rugs, and a woodburner that kept us snug at night, candles and solar twinkle lights made it feel magical
The site is undergoing some building work and was muddy but with the summer coming should dry up
The cafe / shop staff all really helpful food was good and prices very reasonable in the shop
There is a good play area for the kiddies, an the goats and chickens kept them amused too.
