Could not fault this lovely site just what we wanted, quiet/ calm and relaxed. Large field which we were able to pitch where we liked as not many on site. Away from the road so very quiet.
Very clean Toilets, and anti bacteria gel outside and washing up sinks inside in a separate room with Fridge and freezer which helped on the warm days to re freeze our blocks. 2 large rooms with showers which would be great if you had children with you while you jump in the shower.
Dog friendly with space over the fields to give them a run.
The site has visiting Tawny owls and their young, they called to each other which was so lovely to hear as we lay in bed, they soon flew off though 😕.
The site is just down the road from Chew Valley Lake which you could drive round the other side of it and park and walk. Lovely food in the local pub and again you could walk back on the verge if wanted.

This is a lovely campsite. The hosts are flexible and considerate. We stayed for 2 nights and they were very laid back about our arrival and departure times. Also, we weren’t sure how long we were staying for but they were very amenable about our uncertain plans.
The amenities all great, shower, loos, sinks, fridge and freezer. The surroundings are so tranquil. We loved seeing all the free range chickens next door.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Writing this with a heavy heart. For fear of revealing a secret gem!
The campsite is the perfect tonic in a hectic world. No need for fancy hairdryers, free WiFi and an on site bar - instead there are clean hot showers, access to a fridge freezer, beautiful views, birdsong, a warm welcome for the dog and lovely walks from the doorstep. Oh and don't be put off by a free range chicken farm next door, it's great to see 'the ladies' silently roaming free, otherwise you'd never know they're there!
Unfortunately we didn't make it to the pub, too relaxed outside our tent. But we did enjoy the local cycle routes and nearby tourist hot spots such as Wells, Cheddar and Brean Down (NT).
Finding a dog friendly, adult only campsite can be a big ask, yet Simon and Jo have gone to great lengths to make guests can enjoy a 'covid friendly' holiday. We're so glad we found this little gem, thanks for a super stay!

Friendly hosts, fantastic location, lovely intimate campsite. Probably not for those who demand lots of fancy facilities but all perfectly clean and suitable for the size of site.
We met some lovely people on the site and had a great but far too short stay.
Absolutely perfect, just what we were hoping for.

Lovely site, very clean with plenty of hand sanitiser. Plenty of space between pitches. Friendly owners. Easy to find.
Could do with doors on the showers instead of curtains.

I found Jo and Simon really friendly and helpful, helping out by letting us know when our rubbish tent blew down in the wind, and also letting us know the following day when the wind eventually subsided.
Lovely people, lovely site, toilets and showers all clean and working, couldn't have been better.

What is not too like. We stayed here for the late August BH withanother couple and can honestly say as seasoned campers this site is a little gem set in the Somerset countryside. Peace and quiet as this one is not that big. Ideally located for Bath/ Bristol/ Cheddar Gorge /Wells/ Wookey Hole.
Facilities reflect the size of this site, so only 2 showers and a few toilets, which wasn't a problem as only half a dozen people on site for the whole of the BH weekend. Couple of sinks for washing up, also a fridge and a freezer if you needed to stow any perishables.
Next door to a free-range egg supplier so we took the opportunity to purchase fresh eggs a couple of times. Site has super friendly owners who we made contact with through the e-mail address and answered any queries very quickly.
Pub a very short walk away which we may well visit next time we use the site.
All in all a definite 10/10 look forward to visiting again.

Excellent site. A very quiet, chilled and relaxing stay thanks to Simon & Jo (The owners ) The site is set in beautiful surroundings with lovely views. Jo & Simon keep the facilities very clean (Awesome showers!) Gorgeous hanging baskets add to the atmosphere. The Blue bowl pub is just a short walk away ( Gorgeous food at fair prices, don't forget great cider!)
Location is great, close to Weston supermare, Cheddar gorge and hippy Glastonbury. Chew valley lake is stunning and cycle distance, visit the cafe ( fish cakes are to die for!)
Take your cycles and visit a few Gorgeous pubs close to the site. What else can I say about the site? Great value for money, small, and excellent, can't wait to book again!
Enjoy
