Wow what a find! amazing place. Great shower block and with heating, now that really made showering a pleasure - no more shivering. Good small camp shop, try the baps. Microwave in shop for campers use. Adults only - great if you want some peace and quiet. Dogs allowed. Certainly would visit again.

Just returned from a long weekend. First impressions driving up to the hall, wow have I come to the right place! Touring site is small and staff are very friendly, 40 hard standings with hook up, although I was told that they are never completely filled. Abundance of wildlife, robins, chaffinch, squirrels coupled to the fact of very little noise. An excellent little shop selling papers and necessities, including very tasty breakfast rolls cooked to order and very reasonably priced. Shower block is new (or looks it) with plenty of hot water and is spotlessly clean. If I had to moan about anything it would be that the grass is a little bit on the long side around the site, but that's it!

Some of the site is currently being redeveloped as a "static lodge" site. In August the work was right next to the camping field. Work and therefore noise, started at 8am Monday morning. This maybe completed now, best to phone and check. Almost empty site when we overnighted. Marked hardstanding pitches for vans, some grass for tents. Spotless amenities, hot showers. No evidence of a campsite shop. 2 village pubs within an easy walk through the village.

August 2003 On arrival to the site it looked very inviting. The staff were really approachable and helpful, unfortunately the shop was closed (as it was a bank holiday) and there was no on site bar as yet! There was no hot water available for whatever reason but the toilets were very clean and well maintained.
We would definitely stay again as it was very quiet (it's a good idea- no children policy).

July 2003 What a lovely site. Recently built toilet & shower block, all new fittings, plenty of hot water. Well maintained & clean surroundings. Peaceful location. Short walk to the village pubs. 10 minute drive to Rutland Water. This site has an adults only policy.
