A really lovely site which was so quiet and friendly.
When we arrived we were met by the owner he showed us to our pitch and showed us where all the connections were and how to operate them.
The toilet and shower area were immaculate as was the washing up area, the best ones I’ve encountered so far.
There was a recycling system at front of the camp which was good to see, as I have found other sites don’t bother with recycling.
I would happily stay here again.

Great quiet location
We got a taxi from the site then used bus service to get around the lakes, if you have a car the site is better suited to caravan users as the roads around the lakes are tight with the motorhome

Our 2nd trip since buying a caravan and we chose well,
This site is bliss, peace and quiet in a lovely country setting just off M6,
Neighbours are cows and sheep, lovely views whichever way you look,
Our first visit to the Lake District and the site is in a great location for exploring, we visited Lake Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, Kirby Lonsdale, Grassmere, Keswick and Ulverston.
It was great returning to the site in the evening after being in the busy tourist areas which were mobbed!
Nice welcome, given barrier code and some Kendal mint cake then shown to pitch.
Facilities very clean and COVID safe. Little dog exercise area and plenty good walks close by. Nearest shops are Kendal about 7 miles away.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Just had 8 nights at The Ashes and (apart from the weather) it was perfect. Val and Fred should be so proud of this park. We cannot think of anything that would improve it. They have thought of everything, even lights on the dog exercise area and poop bin that was emptied every morning without fail.
All pitches are fully serviced, spacious and have lovely views. Free Wi-Fi that actually works! The site is kept immaculately clean and tidy but still has a very relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are so helpful and friendly, without being "in your face".
Just sorry it's taken us 40 years of caravanning to find it.
We will be back!

Lovely peaceful site. Lots of areas for walking.
The toilets and showers are spotless.
This is one of our favourite sites. You will most likely need levelling ramps.

Lovely overnight stay on our travels to Scotland. Very well looked after site in the peace and quiet of the Lakes.
Lovely local walks (as dog area quite small) round the village and surrounding area for our furry friends too.
Will definitely use again thank you.

Camp was great not far from town centre.
The camp itself was spotlessly clean, it was also a very quiet site, great for relaxing
Also security was good with camera recognition on number plate to allow entry
