This is a fantastic site! I small group of us stayed here at the end of September. Ian was very hospitable and provided us with wood late on friday night when we finally turned up so we could keep warm by a fire. The site is set in breathtaking surroundings and the facilities are exactly what's required from a campsite. The new shower block is very basic but has brilliant hot running showers, and there are plenty of clean toilets, washing facilities, electric points and water taps dotted around the site. There is a large under cover area if the weather is awful with benches too.

If you're camping in the winter this site allows open fires and has electric points for hair dryers and phone chargers.

We took a stroll along the coast to St Davids (about a 2 and half hour walk) to find beautiful small beaches and seals all along the coast line.

There are dogs wandering the farm at all times that are very friendly. Meg spent a lot of time with us in the evening by our fire keeping us all company. I would love to go back to this site! It's what camping should be like!

The site can be tricky to find - don't rely on SatNav. The map on their website tells you exactly where they are (keep an eye out for the signs for Celtic Camping)

We have just returned from a week's camping, as part of a group of three families, at this great site, and, despite the wind, enhanced by the tail end of 'Hurricane Bill', would recommend this site to anyone looking for a 'get away from it all' place. It's on a working farm, and Ian (the farmer/owner) and his family gave us a very friendly welcome, and even gave all the children on the site a tractor ride one day. The toilet and washing up facilities were more than adequate, and the adjoining barn, complete with ample picnic benches, meant we had somewhere to cook when the weather wasn't so good.

The setting is beautiful - gorgeous sunsets, seals swimming just off the secluded cove and fabulous views. The supermarket is a short drive away in St David's (where OK fish and chips can be found), and we were recommended to eat in The Sloop Inn, but as we didn't book, actually ate in the Farmer's Arm's, which was lovely - and very child friendly! For the more adventurous, plenty of activities are on offer (speak to Ian).

A fantastic place to stay, but you need to use every guy rope and have a robust tent as it is very exposed to the wind. Generous supply of showers, clean facilities. Shower block will be great when finished -currently nude concrete and plaster but fully functioning.

Amazing communal area in a vast cattle shed. We didn't find the drying room in our stay which was cut short by the weather.

The site has its own path to a 'secret' beach and is very close to the coastal path. We arrived just in time to see the combined harvester get the harvest in -we realized why there was a rush when the weather arrived that evening. I hadn't realised how little my children knew about harvesting.

It was really good to watch the house martins nesting in the shower block.

This site is wonderful. Ian and Judy are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The views across the headland to the sea and lighthouse are breathtaking. We loved the relaxed atmosphere. No rules and regs required. The fire pits were a huge success. No better way to spend an evening. The drying room and shower cabins were inspired. No tepid dribbles here.
The beach and the ponies and the ramble to Abereiddy are highly recommended. We watched the most beautiful jellyfish basking in the sun at the blue lagoon. Dont miss the haddock fish cakes and garlic potatoes at 'The Sloop Inn' at Porthgain!
This is not camping for prinky, facility obsessed 'pampers', it's the countryside as it should be seen and this marvellous site is for people who like to feel alive. But let's keep it to ourselves!

What a fantastic hide away! A delight to find a campsite that allowed you to be a true camper without the binding rules that take away the delights of being outdoors. A lovely working farm with a friendly family that make you feel so welcome. I have stayed at this farm for three consecutive summer weekends since 2005 and look forward to the return every year.

Showers and toilets are clean, roomy and convenient. Perfect campsite for families/couples/single people/camper vans/tents. Local shops are only a drive away - with so much offered for activities in the local area. You can nod off to sleep on the grassy hilltops or go coasteering/kayeking/boat trips on the picturesque coast.

With a 5-10 minute walk to the sheltered private beach - a dip at 7pm in the evening to cool off from the heat of the day proves gratifying and refreshing with seals circulating just offshore. A walk to Abereiddy around the gorgeous coastline is not only for the walker but also appeals to the more daring diver/jumper into blue lagoon! Can heartily recommend to the camper that wants to find the secret destination for complete relaxation

Best campsite I've been to! Arrived to see the sun setting over misty sea. Lounged on rocks and swam in sea on campsites own bit of beach. Fantastic walks - further down the coast, a short walk away is the tranquil blue lagoon, where the brave can jump off rocks, whilst the cautious can enjoy the spectacle from a distance.

Found the campsite owners friendly and helpful, there if you needed them, but gave you the space to make the holiday your own. Facilities - toilets and shower were spacious, always clean and were enough that there wasn't a queue. Am going again this year. Beautiful location, thoroughly recommend. I went with friends and partner, but would suit families too.

I've stayed at this campsite 3-4 times now and will be heading back again this summer. Fantastic views and a great location more than make up for the fact that the facilities are slightly basic. (Although, there's showers and toilets, so I'm not quite sure what else you'd need - if you require more facilities, you might be better off in a hotel). Only a short walk away, there is a beautiful little cove that's great for swimming. You are also allowed camp fires, which, after all, is what it's really all about.

A fantastic site in a beautiful location - ideal for anybody who wants to get away from the tourist traps and big commercial camp sites and relax under the stars (and even round a campfire -an all too rare privelege now a days!).

Beautiful views, extremely friendly hosts and a wonderful relaxed nature. Facilities are basic but good - have stayed here 5 times now in the last 3 years and never experienced any of the problems described below (including attending a private party with 200 people - and never having to queue for showers or wait for hot water!). Great location for direct access to the Pembrokeshire coast, with St Davids close by and great local beach at Abereiddy. Also options to hire out camping barns - brilliant for group breaks.

My only reservation in recommending this site is it's the type of find you want to keep to yourself!

With the new season for spending a lot of time under canvas approaching fast, my thoughts have returned to experiences from last year (2007). One remembrance, that resolutely refuses to diminish with time, is intimately linked with the time I spent at Pwll Caerog Farm in September.

At the outset let me make clear that this is a working farm and the facilities are basic - they make no bones about that on their website. The welcome is friendly and the prevailing ambience is laid back. All well and good so far but, and here we come to the rub, the day-to-day management leaves more than something to be desired. The most blatant example of this that I can still remember with, unfortunately, vivid clarity, is the state of the ablutions block. To give you an idea . No loo paper, standing water on the floors not cleaned in a week, filthy basins and washing up areas, vomit on the walls and floor (again not removed/cleaned), hot water heaters not working and . Well I shall leave your imagination to supply the rest! The answer is, of course, to go with rubber gloves, detergent, a supply of hygenic wipes and loo paper etc (or buy at the local shop as we did) but perhaps, the real answer is not to go at all until things have improved. A pity, it could be absolutely fantastic; it is certainly in one of the most scenic areas in Britain.

I understand, from personal experience, that small working farms take a great deal of effort and time but, if you offer facilities to paying guests (even if they are campers) it might be as well to schedule in a little maintenance time for each day to keep your guests happy and encourage them to return - being welcoming, laid-back and friendly is just not enough. As a middle-aged Dutch couple who were staying there at the same time as us said 'We are going now'.

We did too.

Was not impressed with this site I'm afraid. After reading the reviews we thought we were onto something really good. Disappointed. The toilets and showers were not to a clean enough standard for us - we have never been fussy either.
The site lacked rules - three times I saw a dog soiling on the pathway there and nothing was done about it (I know this sounds fussy but honestly because of the state of the place I think it gives the impression that people can add to the mess!).
As regards the night time don't go if you have youngsters. Booming music from another tent kept us up until 4am on our first night. We spoke to the lady who runs the site and she said they would check it out. However that night (after debating whether to stay or not) we were kept up past 2pm and did not once see anyone checking for the disturbance.
Personally I would prefer to pay the extra money for better facilities and controlled site.
