Visited the site for 2 nights we though the pitches were well spaced out, wardens very friendly and helpful. We have a dog and there were no dog bins so we just had to use the large rubbish bins!

Ladies toilets were clean but the gents were not so clean (caused by users of toilets).

The walk into Stratford takes about half an hour not the 15mins as described in brochure. We thought good value for money. The washing up sinks had no plugs.

Very nice site there is lot of room large pitches. The toilets are very clean,

The wardens were friendly and very helpful, It is just 1 mile walk in to stratford Town centre which you can walk along river.

It was very relaxing place to stay great for American RVs also. Lots of restaurants in town. Pub a short walk away. There is elsan drop of point for Rv it has 93 electric hook ups.

It is great for rallys It has hardstandings with electric. Nice location easy to get to Warwark & Oxford.

Will definitely be returning as soon as possible. There is a bus that stop near by into town and also goes to Evesham.

We have recently returned from this site, having spent the bank holiday weekend there with our friends (family of 6), who were in a separate tent. We are a family of 5. The couple who run the site were welcoming & helpful. The site does not take credit/debit cards & so upon arrival we had to go out again to find a cash point.

We were pleased with our electric hook-up pitch, but it should be noted that you are not as far away from the next pitch as the brochure given by the site requests you should be, as there isn't enough room. It was busy when we were there & there was a nice atmosphere.

The facilities are kept clean, although if you look up a feather duster wouldn't go amiss!

Not convinced the token system in the showers is a great idea. You are given 7 minutes, which is too long. My husband managed to get showered & dressed all before the water had stopped running. Not a great water saving device. I showered our 2 daughters in good time, too. It would be better to get rid of the token system altogether (it's a pain when you run out & the reception is shut), or to have a choice of times ie. 3 mins, 5 mins or 7 mins.

There is nowhere to put your clothes & toiletries in the shower cubicle - there is just a hook. A shelf/stool would be helpful. A family room in the shower block would be brilliant - our friends could have really benefited from this.

The thing we are most annoyed about is the fact that despite the website & brochure stating that there is a playground, there isn't! It's been knocked down! This was one of our main reasons for staying at the site. Luckily, there is plenty of space for children to play on scooters & bikes & our children enjoyed doing this very much.

We visited the town of Stratford whilst there, as well as Alton Towers (about 2 hours away) & Warwick Castle (less than 30 minutes away). There is also a Tesco close by.

We did enjoy our stay at the site & should we decide to holiday in that area again, we would stay there.

Well worth a visit to this site

Very clean toilet and shower block showers are by tokens which you have to get of the wardens when you arrive

Very friendly wardens fitted me in at the last minute

Very well priced compared to most sites in the area cost us £29 for to nights with electric and awning

Pitches are mainly level with plenty of room

There is a carboot on a saturday morning so don't expect a lie in and you get woken up early

There is no shop on this site and nothing for kids never bothered us as we don't ave any young kids

I would go back to this site again

We visited this campsite on a friday for two nights with friends. We were told that we couldn't reserve an actual pitch but we would have access to the reserved area. We were also told that we could arrive any time between 7am and 7pm.

Overall we really liked this site and below are our good and bad points.

Good points:

its nice and cheap (we paid £14 per night for a 5man tent and two of us),

Its quite near the centre of stratford

It's a nice and quiet site with not much road noise.

Level pitches that don't have many stones.

The showers are hot and cost 50p for seven minutes-I shower in 3! There were 5 toilets in the ladies block and 6 (I think) showers with a separate bit to hang your clothes in.

There is a separate room with two big sinks, washing machine and dryer (you have to buy tokens for), a pay phone and sockets next to mirrors-perfect for me to blow dry my hair!

Good access to bins and water stands

You can put your ice blocks in the freezer for free

Nice friendly management.

Freedom to pitch in groups.

There are nice walks around the race course.

Bad points.

The campsite seemed very haphazard, there are no pitches and the management do not leave there reception so they are not aware of people spreading out and taking up lots of room, or setting up right next to someone else.

The campsite is just a bit of land by the stables, which was absolutely fine for us. But not like a site we are used to visiting.

A rally was on that weekend who were very pleasant but we were told nothing about this when we phoned up so might be worth checking when you book.

The toilets/showers are cleaned first thing in the morning 6/7am so by night time the bins are over flowing and the toilets could do with a wipe around.

Because people can arrive/leave 7am-7pm it means that the site seems to get overcrowded with new people arriving and old people not going!

Overall I would say this is a good site, particularly if you turn up early to get a good pitch. Stratford is a beautiful place to visit and this site is excellent as it is right in the middle, but I would find it a little boring for a whole week as it doesn't have the wow factor. Overall very good though.

Excellent value for money- £12 for 2 man tent per night. Site was flat, owners were very friendly, facilities were good. Showers were 50p for about 7 minutes and were clean. There was also a laundry room with sinks.

It was about 30 minutes walk into the town which was very pretty. We ate at the 'all you can eat' Jimmy Spices restaurant which was fantastic.

The only slight negative about the site was that it was a bit difficult to find the way off the racecourse onto the path- keep to the left of the racecourse and go towards the blue gates.

Lovely site, would definitely stay again.

Me and my husband have just visited this site for 3 nights. As stated we found the wardens to be very helpful and welcoming. However we don't feel that this site was really geared up for tents as the ground was very hard with lots of large rocks. We probably broke about a third of our pegs trying to pitch.

The facilities are basic but kept clean, however the 7 minute time limit on the showers is an issue. I had to wait 3 minutes one morning for the shower to warm up enough to be able to get in, not leaving long to actually get washed!

The site is located in a good spot to be able to visit the local area, which is beautiful, however we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

We have just spent 3 days at this site and will definitely be back. We were greeted on site by a delightful couple, the gentleman came from Plymouth and as we had lived there for several years, we recounted 'tales of old' and nothing was too much trouble for them, they couldn't have been more helpful.

Although there was a country & western event on at the time of our visit, this did not encroach on our enjoyment of the site. The showers were hot and more than adequate (7 minutes was more than ample for us to get a shower).

Its a 20 minute walk along the river into the town and would suggest to anyone that they take the route across the bridge and through the beautiful park.

Very disappointed in this site. Long walk to toilets which were invaded by foreign students from tents who seemed intent on using every piece of tissue they could lay their hands on and strewing it about the toilets and showers.

Each night of their stay male toilets were occupied by both sexes smoking and generally being a nuisance. Complaints to the wardens met with a shrug of the shoulders and the statement that the toilets were ' no worse than usual'.

The walk into Stratford was pleasant but for some reason the bottom gate was locked after race day forcing the walk by road. I was very concerned at the lack of hygiene at the water points which were very smelly and in a poor state of repair.

Overall not a good impression of an otherwise lovely city.

We stayed at this site as a base and it met our needs. It was clean, tidy and very level with easy access to the site from main roads. Facilities were clean tidy and functional, toilets and showers were cleaned daily (showers were token operated and tokens were available from the site office). The site is great as a base for visiting the area or racecourse but perhaps not a 'holiday' destination if you're looking to stay on site all the time unless in a large group as the site is a large open grassy field and little uninteresting but perfectly functional. Local pubs served good food at reasonable prices.
