Do agree with most of the comments on site, was lovely quiet campsite (we were only ones in our field!) however the site did seem to lack something. Also the site "shop" was non exsistant. We arrived with no provisions for breckfast and couldn't buy a thing on site, no milk, bread, nothing. The only thing on site was a reception with a few leaflets in and that was shut anyway. The site website is quite misleading as seems to detail that the place has much more there than it has. If you want a very quiet and peaceful base near St Davids you won't go far wrong though.

Had a splendid week at this lovely, quiet site. You need to book well in advance if you want a pitch with EHU. We had the last EHU and were worried when we found we were pitched next to the kiddies play area (slide and pirate ship in a large sand pit) but the kids were very good and the only noise was for an hour in the morning and again for a while in the evening. The 9 hole pitch and putt course was large and looked great fun and in good condition. There is a large area for ball games and kite flying etc. The site was very quiet in the day as most people headed for the beaches for the day. At night it was totally silent apart from the odd sheepdog barking or donkey braying - except for the last night when a very large inconsiderate group were very loud until 1.30am and then proceeded to go to bed over the next hour talking loudly all the way to the shower block and back. However this can happen on any site! The facilities were kept spotless by the cheerful and friendly managers. There was always lots of hot water and I never had to queue for one of the 4 showers. The milko called every morning so you could get essentials. St Davids is a short car drive away or a pleasant cycle ride. Plenty of lovely beaches, walks etc and attractions for the kids. We'll definitely go back.

Very quiet site, in fact it was un-manned by owners all weekend bar a couple of hours each day. We quite liked the peace & tranquility, facilities were clean albeit a little tired (ladies & gents loos, & shower in disabled loo).
Some local information would have been useful as no-one was on site to ask, things like where the nearest shops were, opening times etc. The fact that the take-aways in St.Davids close @ 9pm - not much good when you arrive late & want to pitch in daylight. If you know you will arrive late - take food with you!
We were a bit put off by a large camp (which looked like a scout camp) when we arrived, but it remained unused all weekend thankfully. Overall Tretio is a good site I would recommend for families

Stayed at Trieto over the May bank holiday and the first week of June and we were there for a total of eight nights. The site is about three miles from the city of St. Davids and about the same from Whitesands Beach, all down winding lanes, which in some places are single track and can cause some problems when passing other vehicles. The site is in a beautiful rural location but is very isolated, the nearest shops and facilities are in St. Davids. As you enter the site you proceed through some well maintained static caravans to the reception/toilet/wash block building. We were met by the owners father who told us to pitch anywhere we liked and advised us where the EHUs were situated. We later briefly met the owner who confirmed who we were (as we had booked) and where we were pitched. There are two fields for tents, caravans etc separated by a hedge and both fields are gently sloping. As we had a EHU we were in the first field facing the magnificent views over the countryside to the sea. All pitches are numbered. We had torrential rain on the way down to Pembrokeshire and for the next morning (though we were lucky enough to pitch in the dry) and this had a big impact on the facilities as the ground become very muddy in places and this was walked into the showers and wash block/toilets. There were also large amounts of sand in the showers and wash blocks brought in by kids from the play area. There are three single showers and one family shower room all with plenty of (free) hot water though the water pressure was some what lacking. The gents wash room consisted of two urinals, two stalls (the third was out of order the whole time we were there) and three sinks. The facilities are fairly modern, but in the gents it is very tight to get into a stall when somebody is using the sinks. The facilities also could have done with cleaning more thoroughly and more frequently than they were, as the toilets were often dirty and there was a shortage of loo roll at the beginning of the week, the sinks, floors and showers were also in need of a good clean. The laundry contains a washer, drier and iron and there is also a fridge (with an honesty box) for ice blocks. The washing up area was covered, but again felt as though it could do with a good scrub! There is also a room with an extensive array of leaflets etc that was very useful. The play area was great for the kids (6 and 3) and was easly visible from our pitch which was reassuring. There is also a hose pipe provided for rinsing of wetsuits etc, as Whitesands beach is known for its surf. Overall it is a nice site with a good atmosphere and isn’t to far from all the local amenities, the only downside was the cleanliness of the washrooms and showers as they didn’t meet our standards.

We loved this campsite! The main reason being that we picked an excellent time to go as there was only one other couple there one night and nobody else at all the second night we stayed. We had full run of the facilities, which were quite neat and tidy. There are all the facilities you would need, including a freezer for your freezer packs (there is a charge of 20p per pack for this) and a laundry room. I would definitely go back to this site. It's really in the middle of nowhere and so very peaceful. I can't imagine that it would get overcrowded even in peak times, as there is a lot of space and it doesn't look like people would be crammed together with no room around them. St Davids itself is a nice little town and if you go, make sure you go on one of the boat trips over to Ramsey Island. They are not too expensive and are definitely worth it.

A perfectly nice site, with flat pitches for tents, but seems to lack a little something. Perhaps more a site for family groups rather than couples/individuals? There are 2 showers for the whole campsite which are free and clean but unfortunately there was no hot water when I took mine, late morning, and I had to queue.

We have just returned from our first visit to Tretio with our tent, it is a pleasant, quiet site in a nice location surrouded by open countryside. The pitches were level and of a reasonable size. Although we enjoyed our visit overall one problem caused us considerable difficulties, the "Freezer Pack Service" consisted of a small domestic freezer in the laundry room - this was totally inadequate for the volume of ice packs generated by the campers (it was so full that the door would barely close and it took around 24 hours to freeze a pack). I would advise anyone needing ice packs to check with the site before booking that they have addressed this issue.
I would also like to clarify a couple of points from Tretio's website and brochure: - the "Essentials Shop" (amended to "Fresh Dairy Produce" in the brochure) consisted of a visit from the milkman around 9.00 am selling milk, eggs, bacon and orange juice. The same range of goods (+ butter) was available from a domestic fridge in reception which was open 8.30 - 10.30 (except Wednesday) and 17.30 - 19.00. - we were told at reception that the site no longer stocked gas (they did have some gas bottles around but only the massive ones used by static caravans) - the "Telephone on Site" is for 999 calls only
There is a garage just outside St Davids on the Haverfordwest road (about 10 minutes drive) which stocks gas and has a very well stocked mini-market. There is a small supermarket in St Davids (CK's) but parking can be difficult unless you use their car park which charged £1.00.
There are 2 beaches within a few minutes drive - Whitesands which is a glorious sandy beach used by surfers, it was busy and the parking charge was £2.50 - Aberreidy which is pebble/sand and has great rock pools and the interesting "Blue Lagoon", parking was free.

August 2005 Friendly small site with wonderful views over the fields. Showers and toilets ok but the showers get very wet on the floors....draining could be better. Good pub, the sloop in porthgain, but book a table in advance. Gas not available at site any more and shop very basic but vans come round in mornings selling milk, eggs, bacon etc.
