Firstly, don't do what we did. The normally reliable satnav took us blindly past the gate and into an industrial estate across the road with caravans and even vacant hookup points, if you end up in a site that looks like you're not going to sleep well, you're in the wrong place, go back to the road, turn left & immediate right into the 'Acorns' site!

The beautiful little site in the middle of the woods was exactly as advertised. If you like quiet, this is for you. There were a small handful of tents and motorhomes including ours and despite there being a few children (including 3 of our own), you couldn't help but feel the tranquility that the website pictures suggest.

The Toilet/Shower block and food prep area were very clean, the modernness of the facilities are a contrast to the outer skin of the building, which blends in to the surroundings. Albert was very welcoming and all the other 10/10 ratings are spot-on, which was a relief given our initial mistake!

We will be back for a longer stay sometime.

Thank You for your hospitality.

Lovely little site - very quiet. Facilities very good for a small site - if you visit them in the early hours you may see deer grazing. When we arrived we were given our choice of pitches and the owner was very helpful throughout. On the day were were due to leave the heavens opened and Albert kindly offered us more time to stay on and dry stuff out. When we are in the area would not hesitate to return.

What a fantastic campsite! We visited for the weekend, after driving up from Devon. Albert could not have been more welcoming, especially as we arrived a little late after a long drive. The campsite is just magical. Very generously sized wooded pitches, spotlessly clean facilities and a lovely nature trail. Our two children (5 and 7) had a great time and can't wait to go back - the restrictions on ball games didn't bother them in the slightest as there was so much space to enjoy anyway. Highlights included spotting a hedgehog and a glow worm. Pirate Pete popped down to the tent to say hello a couple of times.

I can't recommend this site enough, we can't wait to go back - hopefully for a bit longer next time!

Our second visit to see Albert and pirate Pete the cat we last visited in 2013. If Carlsberg did campsites this would be it, beautiful, tranquil, spotlessly clean facilities, huge pitches, superb short walk and longer ones nearby, 2 pubs in easy reach and a the coast from the New Forest to Eastbourne to explore well within a days drive. A friendly welcome and lots of local knowledge from Albert completes a perfect visit, it is a 5 hour drive for us but well worth it.

Just spent a week at Acorns, a beautiful site, very peaceful and quiet, Albert, the owner was very helpful with local knowledge, shower and toilet block was very clean and kept tidy, a nice little nature reserve on site and was lucky enough to see the wild deer, , a little village about a mile away, co-op, , fish shop and local butchers, . Will certainly be returning to this site although it was a 5 hour drive, ,

Only negative was no charcoal bbq's allowed, but didn't miss it, ,

A warm and helpful welcome by owner Albert and Pete the cat, to this intimate and tranquil woodland site. Easy accessible from the A27 with spacious level pitches. Excellent and always spotlessly clean facilities. A 10 minute walk to the local village of Angmering. Arundel and Littlehampton only a short drive away.

Spent a few nights at Acorns the site was very nice snuggled up in the trees, Albert gave us a very good welcome and explained every thing about the site from recycling to the showerblock in a very friendly manner. Hoping to go back again in September I would recommend the site to anyone if you want some time away for peace and quiet

Enjoyed this campsite over the May bank holiday, it was a great base for us as it was only 20 minutes from the Big Church Day Out.

The facilities were great and were very clean with plenty of hot water. The campsite was very quiet. The noise from the road did not bother us. Will definitely stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Acorns (also in June 2014) and it has become a favourite of ours. The setting (despite being just off the A27) is very peaceful and the woodland lends it a magical quality. There are not too many pitches but all have ample space and hookup and you do not feel crowded in. The toilet block is modern and always spotless with plenty of (free) hot water in the showers.

We do not know this part of Sussex but have enjoyed what we have seen and, weather permitting, will visit Arundel next time we're down.

The owner is a fine host and makes you feel most welcome - as do the cats!

For an extra bonus the local pub - The Woodman's Arms - is only a five minute walk away (across the A27) and is a beautiful traditional pub with excellent fayre - I recommend the steal and ale pie! The staff and locals are very welcoming.

We are looking forward to visiting again very soon!

We just spent a couple of nights at Acorns, I just wish I had of had more time to stay longer. We just bought a new tent and equipment so we wanted to try it all out, we had a nice secluded spot to ourselves.

i have to say it was perfect in every way.

Fantastic wooded area, trees helped shade the tent

Superb shower / toilet block

We even got to see some deer in the mornings.

The village was a 10 min walk, and everything you need is there.

Bus service to Littlehampton is close by.

Very many thanks.
