We used this site as a stop off point for the Dover ferry. It's in a great location and only 20 minutes from the port.
Toilets and showers were well kept and the pub on site serves good beer and food.
Site owners were friendly and helpful and site was well kept.
We didn't really explore much of the area, but there was good short walks from the site. We were charged £18 for motorhome + EHU - good value for high season.
Overall, a popular site, though not overcrowded and a great stop off point for ferries.
Will certainly use again en-route to France.

Only 5 minutes away from the Channel Tunnel. We visited for one night in mid June. Site attached to local pub, excellent facilities, new toilet block. Helpful & welcoming landlord, pub meal was very satisfactory. No need to unhitch caravan for an early start, loads of room on site. Will use again for next tunnel/ferry crossing. Easy to find from motorway, just before exit for Tunnel. The pub was used by many locals, and although we had a basic meal, the menu was very extensive and not over priced. So we literally parked the van, went to pub for meal, slept and then caught an early departure. No problems at all, and good start to holiday in France

Arrived late on Sunday evening after an eight hour drive. Very welcoming, directions excellent, very convenient to M20. We were staying here for one night and had a ferry to catch to France the next morning from Dover. This site was perfect for our needs. Kids loved it too. Plenty of space, new toilet and shower block, had some drinks in the pub after dinner. Watched a hot air balloon in the distance, picturesque site.
No noise from motorway, we slept soundly! Definitely will revisit, ideal location for Dover, only 20 min drive.

Absolutely top class place to stay.
We arrived with a problem on the van (brake cylinder seized, one week after service and mot) at 7.0 in the evening, never met the owner before but was offered use of full toolkit and trolley jack.
Decided to eat and get drunk instead and use my RAC membership to mend the van !
The food was superb, actually had perfectly cooked giant steaks and plenty of trimmings for around £12, drinks and food prices were well in order, locals were very friendly and we will most certainly return on our next channel crossing.
The pub and site is around 5 minutes from the channel tunnel and no more than half a mile from the M2

Me and my partner camped here on the royal wedding weekend from the Friday until the Monday, it was our first visit here and we were far from disappointed.
The owners were very welcoming even though we have a massive tent for the two of us. They have live music at the pub most weekends, great food, nice quiet location, new toilet block and fantastic hot electric shower.
5-10 minute drive into Ashford or Hythe and not too far from Canterbury.
I cant fault the site in any way.
This site is one of the best campsites we have been to, it was a fun filled weekend away and look forwards to going again for the may bank holiday weekend.

I have just returned from a two nights stay at the Drum. The hosts could not have been more helpful. The new toilets and electric shower is now in place, with work going on for a second one.
The site is ideal for Canterbury as only 10 mile away and Park and Ride facilities for motorhomes 2 mile from Canterbury at a cost of £2.50 for motorhome parking all day + 2 adults.
The Drum serves excellent food open all day, costs from £6.80 for fish and chips, I had a Sea Bass at £11.95. There was up to 15 dishes on the Menu.
Dover Dimchurch and Hythe within 10miles. Cost was £15 including hook up
We will return.

This is a great 'no frills' site, albeit still slightly 'work in progress'. We were advised when we rang to book that the installation of the showers had been delayed (they will be ready in the next week or two) but we were more than happy to use our own facilities. Price wise it is very reasonable.
Access is through the pub car park and up a slope onto the field, we arrived mid afternoon on Sunday when the pub was busy with people having Sunday lunch but this wasn't a problem as the owner simply asked a couple of the locals to move their cars. At other times the access was clear.
Considering the fact that the site is only a mile from the M20 (junction 11) we weren't away of any road noise.
The site is ideally situated for both the Channel Tunnel(about 4 miles) and Dover (15 miles). Apparently a lot of people stay just one night on their way to or from the channel crossings.
There aren't any shops in the village but Hythe is less than 5 miles away and Ashford is only 8 miles (major supermarkets in both places). The pub is very friendly and the food looked good.
We stayed four nights, there's loads to do & see in Kent.
We will definitely use this site again.
