I have stayed here at Swinethorpe for the past 3 moths and loved every moment. The site manager John and his family are so welcoming they helped me out any time I needed advice or assistance. The site is wonderful so peaceful but at times very popular. The only site facilities are perfect - clean, well maintained and not too far away from town. I can not thank you enough or rate you highly enough for making my stay so easy and enjoyable it will be sad to have to say goodbye. Nigel Barrett

Very nice little site that I would call a 'hideaway' because it is in the middle of nowhere. Ideal for relaxing amid the Lincolnshire countryside. Park & Ride for City of Lincoln is approx. 3 miles away at Whisby Garden Centre. Small fishing lake on site. Facilities good and clean. Plenty of room for kids to play (under supervision because of lake ?). Nearest shops at Whisby G C. Pub/Restaurant at Whisby crossroads, approx. 3 miles.

To repeat the comments so far given would be an understatement as the facilities were immaculate. The site is probably one of the best kept secrets around so we're reluctant to spread the word in terms too loud. The site has a massive rally field adjacent to the lake, this was empty this time of year but one could imagine great times on seasonal get-togethers. A wonderfully maintained site with all a visitor could hope for in a holiday.

I visit family in Lincoln every October and this is the first time we've used this site. Stopped here for 4 nights, its out in the sticks, so quiet, but we loved it. The shower block is immaculate and new. They have a laundry room which we used to store/dry a few things out as the weather was against us. Travelled up from the midlands, tom tom took us up A46 then A1133, I'd advise against it, the easiest route is up the A46 then left through Thorpe on the hill turn left onto Eagle rd, then right (sign posted Swinethorpe). Will definitely return next October and would recommend it.

Lovely little site. 12 hard standing pitches all with water and electricity at 16 amps. The toilet/showers are immaculate as is the utility room with dishwashing sink, fridge and washer/ dryer. This site is part of camperuk but is not really near the dealership and is in a beautiful quiet location. There is a fishing lake and lots of walks around the area. The nearest village is Harby a good mile away with a pub which we found expensive. Lincoln is nine miles away.
The only downside is that the site is fairly difficult to find and not very well signed but at least that will stop hoards of people finding it.
A real gem we loved it and if we are in this area will definitely use it again.
Very friendly and well managed. And all this for £15 per night. I believe customers of camperuk get some free nights.

Stayed here two nights two adults and one grandchild (9).
It's a small site (about 12 units) and a great little spot just outside Lincoln and Newark, easy to find.
Although this site is plainly designed as a testing site for any new sales of motorhomes by Camper UK in Lincoln the result is one of the best bargain sites around at £15 per night and that was with a personal water hook up.
There is a fishing pond for those that like to fish (not for me sorry) and a tree rope swing for the kids.
Although we thought we would struggle to keep our granddaughter amused she made some new friends within minutes playing around the swing.
The toilet/shower block is new and spotless if a little on the basic side.
Personally I don't think I could stay a full week but as a stop over or short break I can't fault it.
Interestingly they have a huge flat rally type field with a Tarmac drive that I think would make a superb 'fully fledged' caravan site?
If we are in this area again we will definitely stay here again.

Lovely peaceful small site with beautiful view over fishing lake. Good access down country lanes to Lincoln bypass. Level gravel pitches with or without electric. Spotless washrooms and 2 showers in each-as good as a boutique hotel! Relaxed atmosphere and free WiFi. Great for weekend or short break perhaps longer if you're an angler!

Lovely spot, very quiet, with a small fishing lake. Facilities are new and spotlessly clean, excellent showers. Paul, who lives on the site, is friendly and helpful. Nice flat grass area for tents, pegs go in fairly easily. The pub in the nearby village of Harby is very pleasant and serves good food. This site is a lovely place to spend some time, especially if you're interested in birds - we were woken by a cuckoo and watched a pair of yellow wagtails while we had breakfast!

Very friendly helpful staff despite the difficulties they are currently dealing with.
Utilities excellent and very clean.
No problems pitching our very large awning. The only downside would be if the site was full there is no parking for the car but presumably there is parking other than alongside the unit.
Had a wonderful couple of days escape. Thank you.

Just arrived from a fantastic 3 days here. Paul the owner was very helpful & very accommodating. Yes the pitches are on the small side but big enough for van & awning. Toilets & showers brand new & well maintained never had to queue at all. Lake is beautiful with plenty of fish and resident ducks & geese. The only thing the site could do with is a shop as the village store closed down. Its a 20 minute walk to village pub, drinks not badly priced but for us the food is quite fancy and pricey(we didn't eat anything but portions looked small). Its gem of a site & will definitely be returning soon. Well done
