Very pleasant helpful owner, facilities were spotlessly clean one minor issue was the lighting timer in ladies could do with staying on a little longer, the site was quiet though if full I think the facilities could be quite stretched. Lovely walks through the woods. Our only other issue was the cost, we found it to be quite expensive compared to similar sites.

Just returned from Bank Holiday weekend at this site. Visited the site before it was fully opened and met the owners and really looked forward to our first visit. We weren't disappointed! The welcome we got upon our arrival made us feel like family, check in was quick and easy. You pay £10 (returnable) security deposit for the barrier to enter the site and we paid £3 for wifi for the weekend. Our pitch was plenty big enough for our caravan and a small awning.

The site was practically full but peaceful most of the time apart from a bit of late night noise from the group of tents, it wasn't enough to warrant a complaint. Weather was not too good but the site was spotless, as were the loos and showers considering the muddy foot fall - everyone in the ladies seemed to have mopped up after themselves.

Didn't eat the food in the Cafe but it certainly was busy as they held a curry night Sat night and that seemed very popular. I can't wait to try the Carrot Cake on our next visit. Heard a lot of people praising the site and how the owners couldn't do enough for you. This is so true, we asked if we could keep our van there until the following Friday and we were told this wouldn't be a problem and we were even able to move it to the new pitch. Bev, John, Jo and Jess and other family members are so warm, welcoming and friendly they make you feel so welcome and really, nothing is too much trouble.

We took a walk in the woods and it was brilliant - the smell and sight of wild garlic took me right back to my youth and paddling in the streams was fun too (I did it to clean my wellies, honest).

Simply a lovely site and cannot wait to return - time and time again for sure.

We visited Clearwell Caves and enjoyed the tour and coffee and cake in the Cafe. I also saw a wild boar from the safety of the car - that pleased me too!

All in all a very beautiful site which can only get better and better and we look forward to seeing it in all seasons.

Just had a lovely holiday with friends at this cracking little site. The owners are so friendly and very helpful, the site itself is well planned out and the facilities are good and extremely clean. The woodland walk around the camp is really pretty, my dog loved her early morning walk around there. The George pub does really nice food and again they were really friendly, plus side to the pub they except well behaved dogs

All in all we will definitely be returning.

We visited this site with friends who use a caravan. The site has only been open a couple of weeks. We were impressed immediately on arrival. We were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic owner/manager. As the site was so new we couldn't use the hardstandings as they were still being bedded in but the grass pitches were just fine. The site is laid out in an oval with hardstandings on the outside and grass pitches in the middle. Access is easy off the 'B' road and you pay a £10 deposit for a barrier card. Reception has a small shop for the stuff you've forgotten, and also has a cafe which we didn't use but looked good. You order breakfast the day before. The facilities are spotlessly clean ( apart from the family who decided to wash their dog on the motorhome service point water tap). There is a path into the woods directly from the site and you can walk to St Briavels across fields. We ate in the George pub which was friendly and had good beer and really nice food. You can walk along the B road to and from the site as it has a large grass verge but I wouldn't recommend it with children. It takes about 20 mins to walk it. Each pitch has hook up and a t. V point. There is wifi available for £1. 00 per day. There nearest super market is about 5 miles.

The site is quite close to the B road so if outside your unit you can hear vehicles passing but calling it road noise would be over stating it.

Not only would I recommend this site to others but we'll definitely be using it again.

How lucky we were to find this delightful, brand new site which can only get better and better as the shrubs grow and mature. All the facilities including shower block, washing up and laundry are first rate. The cafe is a great asset and the shop stocks all the essentials. Electricity and TV hook up to every pitch. There is an excellent playground in the village but not one on the site - the woods will provide hours of fun for children. There is so much for all age groups to see and do in the area and plenty of leaflets are available on site. Wifi is available across the whole site. The owners were so kind, helpful and enthusiastic. We would recommend this site unreservedly and look forward to our next visit.

Arrived on this campsites 1st day of opening. We were there 1st visitors and made very welcome by owners plus some family members helping out. They still had a few teething problems but these were soon sorted out by the next day. Plenty of notices put up, cafe was especially nice and food looked great, breakfasts very good. Toilets and showers very clean as was the rest of the site. There is a playground area though a bit muddy at present due to weather. Lots of lovely dog walks. Our dog was made most welcome too, she loved it there. I'd say transport is needed to visit places around the area. The family ride at Pedalabikeaway is wonderful, about 11 miles. Dog loved it. On site walked down to the ponds, though very muddy yet, it will be wonderful when bluebells are out. Electric pitches. Local pubs doing excellent food. Nothing was too much trouble, even towing car out of the mud, (not ours). Cant wait to go again, thoroughly recommended
