This campsite is very small and basic but the owner was very friendly. We were camped in a small field with caravans and other campers. The shower / toilet facilities were a little disappointing as there were only one male / female of each so there were queues at popular times of the day. However, they were clean if a bit messy and a little smelly. It was very well placed for all the sights of Chester. Overall, friendly basic campsite.

August 2004 Visited site for three nights over the bank holiday period. Due to busyness of site and wet ground we were actually pitched in the cow field next to the usual camping field. Plenty of room for large tent. Disappointed with toilet/shower facilities. One female toilet and shower and one male toilet and shower. No soap for washing hands. Very little hot water for pot washing. Location was handy for attractions of Chester.

July 2004 This site is very much back to basics . It is a working farm . There are no silly rules at all . The farmers only rule is you enjoy your stay . My dog ran around with the farm dog all week and so did the kids.
We had a caravan and had all the advantages of that, but campers would find the open air washing up area a pain in the rain. Only one shower and toilet for males and one for females, hence always a queue at busy times . The farmer told me he has plans to extend the site and build a new shower block this year.
Apart from that I enjoyed my stay. A well stocked shop 2 miles away. Good pubs and great walks. Close to tourist sites in Chester and Ellsmere port as well.

june 2002 My self and my family spent two weeks on the site and we all thought the same quiet beautiful and the scenary was breath tackeing the purpouse bulit shower block was spotles all the time the site is just three miles out side the city but you would nevr belive that you were close to the city with all the countryside around you.As a family we have been to many Caravan and Camping club sites and this is far one of the nicest ones we have been on in a long time and would not have any problems recomending it to any one
