A nice quiet site fully a mile from the sleepy village of Dirleton which has a good stocked general store and hotel. The site is separated in to smaller areas of maybe a dozen vans each, so does not feel like a big site. The facilities were immaculate with good size shower cubicles (with enough hooks!)
The super beach is a bit of a walk from site if you were carrying a lot of gear but there is a small adventure playground about halfway there that you will stop at!
North Berwick has a good variety of shops and eateries, and the museum of flight at East Fortune is well worth a visit even just to see Concorde. We will definitely come back to Yellowcraig.

We found Yellowcraig by accident, having been told not to turn up at River Breamish because of flooding (weekend of 6th Sept 2008). It is a brilliant site for peace and quiet (out of school hols), location (fantastic sea-shore), miles of easy beech walking, site facilities, and friendly - helpful site wardens.

Shops at North Berwick are good, both in variety and availability of type (main supermarkets and small traders).

Its great being close to a lovely beach but not too close, more sheltered, looking across fields and feeling far away from main roads. There is a great park on site for the kids and a pirate adventure playground in the trees on the way to the beach. We are a young family and these aspects make our stay easier! This site has a lot going for it.
It is one where I think I wouldn't mind what pitch I stay on as they are all very good indeed. Toilets and showers are central and plentiful and probably the best ever visited.Spacious and immaculate.

This site is in a very nice location, when we arrived there had been a lot of rain and a some pitches where under water. We walked round and managed to find one hard standing only problem was there was steps and a short cut lead up slap bang in the middle of pitch which gave us the problem of people walking right through are pitch, but we put up with it to be on a dry pitch cant have it all ways.
Toilets are very nice and are clean and tidy. The beach is a short walk off site down a dirt track but keep your eyes peeled down the dog dirt mine field to the beach. Dogs seem to becoming a problem on club sites, most sites we stayed on this year had a large number of people with 3 or 4 dogs per unit I think this is going over the top and yes we are dog owners too but just the one.
The village of dirleton is a very nice place with its castle ruins well worth a look. North berwick is also a lovely little town with lots to see and do. The rib ride to bass rock is a great trip and a good way to see this part of the coast.

Known this site all of my life.

It is simply perfect. Nice choice of pitching areas, with the number of hard standings increasing year on year - not that the ground gets particularly wet anyway.

The new loo block is very nice - and even after a few years in use now it is still pristine.

Plenty to do locally.

Just returned from a wonderful week at this site. Even though it was school half term the site was quiet with only half of the pitches in use. Toilet block spotless, showers hot, a thoroughly well maintained site. Short walk to fantastic beach and an easy hours walk along the beach into Berwick. We watched the rugby in the 'Fly Half' only place we could find with a TV but food and drink more like London prices, wouldn't recommend it. In contrast the 'Old Club House' at Gullane was super, good selection of beer and good food too. We cycled along the John Muir Way all the way to Gullane, great route for walking too.

This site is off the beaten track ,a quiet site but spacious site not many hard standings and these were taken up by seasonal caravans, the facilities were excellant very modern as they were new ,although I did find taking the key with me every time to the loo and shower a pain as I sometimes left it and so did my husband. The beach was very accesable only a 10 minute walk away and absoloutley gorgous ans so clean .

The warden was ok not the friendliest I have met but nothing to bad .The area has a new tesco and a local somerfield it really is only accesable by car ,the town itself is very quaint and gorgous golf courses ,good for dog walks and a brilliant inn for food 7 miles away in the village of longinddry .

We had a great time here for a week with the kids, however we were very lucky with the weather which no doubt made a difference This site is in a beautiful location near a fabulous beach and only 20-30 minutes from Edinburgh. There are miles of coastal paths for walking or cycling and lovely towns and villages to visit nearby. Would certainly return in future.

This was a well kept site with spotless toilets, showers and plenty of hot water. There is also a good sized enclosed play park which will keep the little ones amused. From just outside the park you can walk down the path to a beautiful sandy beach, which can get very busy at weekends. The town of Berwick is about a 10 minute drive, where there is a range of shops, pubs, and places to eat.
This is an excellent site and I will return.

This site is a great family site. The facilities were excellent and were well kept. The children loved the play park [though next time we won't park next to it as the noise in the evening was loud].

There is even a great play park near the beach that our two kids would have spent most of the week at if the flash floods and thunder storms hadn't been so prevelant!

North Berwick is a great little place for food and things to do, though we enjoyed going a little further afield as well. Plenty of castles and museums without having to go into Edinburgh.

We will certainly return here and hope that the weather is kinder to us.
