We booked this as a birthday treat for our 11 year old son. We were welcomed on the phone by Christine.
We arrived and as the 3 adults assembled the tents, the 8 boys went off exploring! They were in and out of the stream, playing football and cricket and hide n seek. It was perfect. There were 2 other tents there who were really friendly
We will definitely return as a family. It was fabulous and the welcome helped!
We were able to hire a brazier for the evening, which was needed!
A perfect birthday treat for our son.
The toilet facility was fine and will be further enhanced with the new shower and loo block being built. The washing facilities were clean and easy to access. Highly recommend.

Lovely owners and campsite with easy access apart from turn into field but the owners are happy to reverse the caravan in for you (and back out again!) They are just building a new shower block and toilets plus a secure bike store which should be finished soon. Until then the toilet and shower is in the owner's house which works well. Hook ups possible. We enjoyed a tour of the farm to see all the newborn lambs too.
Dogs can be exercised in neighbouring field. There is a bit of noise from the nearby A road but it's not that busy. A stream runs around the field which my teenage son fell in so parents of toddlers beware. The friendly pub 200yds up the road does good food and welcomes families and dogs. Llandegla forest is 5 mins away for superb mountain biking which is why we came - they do great food too.
We'll be back again in May.

We have just come back after a lovely relaxing weekend at llyn rhys. What a lovely little campsite the owners were the nicest couple, They couldn't do enough for you. We had cozy nights around the camp fire. The views were stunning. The toilets were the cleanest toilets I have ever seen on a campsite. There was a shower there too. £5 per night each was excellent value for money. There were several pubs just across the road but we didn't want to leave our cozy fire. There was even a little play area for the little ones. Will definitely be going back there.
