Have just returned from 5 days stay at this site. I had told them I would be arriving with only myself and my Daughter and on arrival they had a note which said ‘may need help’. This was really thoughtful and two young men kindly watched me reverse onto my pitch. Unhooked the van and even offered to level it. The site is very peaceful and has a small shop where you can buy the basics. There was a bar on site but we didn’t use it so can’t comment. The swimming pool is not very big and can only accommodate 10 people at a time. You have to book half hour slots, not a problem at this time of year but in peak season I think it would be rather hectic. Showers cost 20p but there are only 2, whilst they are clean one shower took a whole 20p just to warm up. There are a large number of statics and it looks like this site will eventually be turned into completely statics only, which would be a real shame.

This is a lovely site and well worth staying at. It has a small shop but has a good stock of items inside. There is a large area for the kids to play in and this is next to the beer garden which is very nice. The pub there seems very welcoming although when it first opened there was a wait to get served, much better later and there was entertainment . The beach is just a short walk down a hill away and is well worth going to. We were pitched at the end of a level bank and this was ideal for us. The pitches were a little on the smaller size but this was adequate for us. If you were pitched further along the bank you might have to ask people to move their chairs to move off though. A friendly site and a lovely welcome was given to us. We would visit this site again but would book a longer stay as we were only booked in for 2 nights at the beginning of our touring holiday. All the family enjoyed it here.

Needed a long weekend break, friends have a static caravan on site and recommended a visit. The first thing that struck me was the large level touring pitches (van on concrete, awning on shingle) Home farm had everything you would expect from a family site plus more. As well as the well stocked shop, small bar, & swimming pool there was also a superb beer garden available. Showers were large, clean and for your 20p gave you enough hot water to shower a small family! Plenty of local shops, pubs etc within a short drive, great for access to Watchett, Blue Anchor & Minehead. Cant fault the friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to our next visit

We spent Xmas at this site - so peaceful, a lovely place to "unwind and relax", no shop, etc open at Xmas, but pool was although we are not swimmers. Would be ideally quiet if you liked swimming. I think it would be absolutely beautiful in Spring through the wooded lane, with bluebells and daffodils. Although the weather was extremely kind to us we had sun on both days we were there, making it very pleasant walking off the turkey dinner down to the beach. Excellent place one we would like to re-visit next year. The young lady we spoke to when we arrived is a credit to them, she was so pleasant and helpful, adding to the very pleasant break we had at this site. Thank you

July 2005 This site was quite nice. We could hear the sea and the view was lovely. It's down a steep lane with a few severe speed bumps to slow you down. The shop was ok, had most things. The bar and beer garden were really nice. Reasonably priced and the BBQ was great value, although there was a bit of a wait to get served, and then a bit more of a wait to get your food.
Shower block and toilets were up a few flights of steps which wouldn't be easy to manage if you weren't able bodied. Toilet cubicles were tiny! Showers ok, but we did have to wait as there were only 2.
Pool was bookable, but our slot was gatecrashed by teenagers. Other families complained of the same problem.
Site was really good for being out and about. Good golf courses nearby and some lovely beaches.
Oh, and lots of dogs. All tents around ours had dogs. Most on leads, but some not!

June 2005 Just returned from a 2 week trip to Home farm, after reading some reviews we were a bit dubious of spending 2 weeks here but our fears were put to rest soon as we arrived. What a fantasticly clean site, helpful owners, well stocked shop, great swimming pool, good views over the bay, such a tranquil site. We will be returning to Home farm next time we visit Somerset which hopefully will be in the not too distant future, once again thanks to all the staff for making our stay such an enjoyable one

August 2004 This site consists mostly of privately owned statics, however there are good, clean facilities for tents. There is only one toilet block with two showers. I expected to have to queue to use them but as there were only a handful of tents it was never a problem. The down side to the showers was the fact that you had to pay 20p; they had a habit of running out on you when only half washed!
The tent pitches were fairly level, the pub and shop were excellent, the staff were friendly. The indoor swimming pool had to be booked as it was only small. This prevented over crowding which I think is a good idea, but it could only be booked in half hour slots which I felt wasn’t worth getting undressed for! I go on holiday to get away from inflexibility!
The beach is quite close, a short walk down a winding path. However I was disappointed to discover that it was stony. Williton makes a good base for exploring the surrounding area. Minehead is very close, Dunster Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth and Exmoor. During my visit I saw red deer and Exmoor ponies, lovely!
Despite it’s foibles I do intend to return to Home farm at some point.

October 2004 The site and its facilities are very clean, we had a sea view as promised. The shop was a little empty but this was October and the local shops are not far. We didn't use the pool because the lady we ask in the shop didn't know how deep it was and you have to book a time to swim in advance. The beach was very nice, apart from the problem of dogs and their mess.
My only complaint was the space between the vans, its very small. We had caravans over looking us on three side and only two foot away from the toilet path(lots of late night noise). We had no privacy and no were to park the car without blocking the sea view or walking down the path(we had to get cars moved to get of the pitch)but we did find the location of the site ideal for trips out.
So to sum up: nice and clean, good view, good location, just too close with no privacy.

1996-2002 We have visited Home Farm several times over the last 7 years. Last visit in 2002. Lovely clean well laid out site. If you're lucky you can get a pitch with sea view.
Nice bar, open peak times. I think most weekends in the high season they have a BBQ. Small shop, but seems to sell nearly everthing. Great childrens play area. Wonderful swimming pool, last year (out of season) I was the only person using it-Great!
Steep walk down to the beach and even steeper walking back! sometimes you have to dodge the dog poo. Great site which we hope to visit again this year.
