Booked 2 nights here after driving past and falling in love with the view. Pitches are a great size and all have superb views towards Whitby.
Facilities are basic - two toilets / sink / cold water - but immaculately clean with toilet roll and clean towels topped up daily (just remember to check out position of light switch during daylight as you'll never find it in the dark!).
Nice friendly pub 2miles down the hill in Ruswarp (Bridge Inn?)run by site owner's sister and lovely meals at Wilson Arms in Sneaton - 1mile downhill. Plenty of good walking in the area - visit Falling Foss if only for the tea room! Definitely worth a visit!

We recently stayed at this site, the views are fantastic including looking at the animals (Cows and sheep) in an adjacent field. The toilets (communal) are basic, hand wash soap supplied and towels folded up and laid on an old table (hot water is always needed with soap to wash with), also the remains of dead insects (lots) surround the door frames etc, the walls obviously had not be painted for some time, leaking roof, plus no heating or hot water which I was a little concerned about (this could have been rectified as water and electric supplies are in the building). Regarding the waste point, this would be difficult for emptying the hog for someone whom was a little disabled and found lifting difficult.

Clean and tidy site, friendly owners. Facilities are basic (toilets plus cold water) but that is all we required. Fantastic views over moors to Whitby and Hawsker. Very good value. Recommend a phone call first. This was our second visit, we plan to go again.

We stayed over Easter Weekend, and will certainly be returning. On arrival we were greeted be the very friendly owner and told to choose a pitch. Large pitches even for our 28ft motorhome, hard standing and grass with electric hook up. With 3 toilets all very clean and disposal point, but no showers. Very quiet little site with stunning views over Whitby and the surrounding are. A short drive to Whitby well worth a visit even if it is just for the fish and chips. Will be returning soon.

We think this site is absolutely brilliant and we will definitely return. There was only cold water and toilets as ammenities but this makes this sound like a very basic site yet it is tastefully landscaped with very large pitches and views you would find it hard to beat. The grass was neatly mown and the toilets were clean and well stocked with toilet rolls. There was plenty of room for ball games and for the children to ride their bikes.

This is a lovely site which we stumbled on by chance. On arrival we were instructed to "drive round and find ourselves a suitable pitch". We found a sheltered, secluded pitch round the back of the site with fabulous views towards the coast. This camp site is actually next to Deneside Field Caravan Club CL but because there were no restrictions as to number of vans, we managed to find a quiet spot away from the road. It is only a short drive down to Whitby from here and we will definitely be going back.
