1st IMPRESSIONS on entering the site which is located behind the pub wasn't good as the entrance was overrun with over hanging branches so low we took half the tree with us on the entering caught up in the awning rail
The site appears initially to be a bit scruffy with long term pitch rental however we found the residents very friendly
The facilities are lovely and clean and even heated pitch is off a fair size and hardstanding facilities
Toilets and showers are very clean with chemical waste as well as dirty water outlets, ,
The bus route outside is very handy route to Ross on wye and Hereford as well as Gloucester
We didn't have time to visit the Inn but it looked cosy in fact we had a enjoyable peacefully stay

Everybody has different views of sites and what bothers one doesn't bother another but I was disappointed with this smallish site, it is really split into two parts with one being the hard standings for visiting tourers and the other being 7 old permanent caravans and awnings most with that lovely green mold colour so the first impression is 'run down'. Here are a list of likes and dislikes
Liked-Pub on site & No extra for EHU usage
Disliked-No site sign, coming from Ross on A49 you turn right at the Peterstow signs and left at the yew tree mobile home site going through a gap in the hedge-no gates/security
Most of the long term caravans are showing their age, a lot seem empty
Its a adults only site but that doesn't apply to visitors
Nuisance dog barking from the corner caravan, up to 1. 22am one night
No drinking water tap labels and rubbish bins not signposted(wheelie bins behind fence by pub)
No wardens or interaction with owners-all done online
Old sign on noticeboard saying £20 a night but its £25
Sloping site but no bricks or blocks available
No wifi except in pub but reasonable 4g signal on vodafone
Hard standings quite narrow so you walk on wet grass to access caravan
Some road noise from the A49
The toilets/showers are unisex in a hut but nice enough

Stayed here for 4 nights over Ross Cider Festival as I prefer to have better facilities.
As I have had mentioned in my past reviews, this site is great for a pub site with very good facilities. Very clean and tidy, and the staff at the pub were very friendly and helpful as always.
The pub serves great ciders and perries that are made by Ross-on-Wye Cider and Perry Company, plus a good range of beers and spirites etc.
Their partner Firebird Kitchen serves great pizzas etc. On certain days.
There is a well-stocked Londis just up the road from the pub and campsite which is also a Post Office.
I did not venture out much as walking up and down to Broome Farm where the Cider Festival took place was enough for me!
Although this site is Adult-only, it is right next door to the pub's beer garden, and the pub is family friendly! Therefore, be prepared for some noise especially when the weather is nice and/or when the pub has an event.
All in all, another very nice stay, and I am going back there for their Ross-tober-fest (German-themed beer festival) in October and also the New Year weekend in 2024.

Really liked this site, very convenient location with buses to Hereford and Ross a few minutes walk away.
The facilities were good and kept clean and well stocked.
The pub is great with friendly staff and a good selection of beverages to try, the Firebird pizza was excellent.
It is possible to walk into Ross from this site mostly away from the roads but it is 3 miles.
There are some nice walks nearby on footpaths and around the orchards are two marked routes, one 2. 5k and one 5k.
We will definitely be visiting again.

Where to begin. Arrived in good time to learn that the pitch allocated was taken up by " somebody who is here all the time"? Ok no probs went on next empty pitch only to find that the electric point allocated to that pitch had been taken by a tent as " their lead was clearly too short so they used your allocation". Really so now I have to find a 30 metre hook up lead and therefore I am disadvantaged? So settle into the pitch quite disgruntled to find that the individuals from the pitch we should have had "regulars"! had allowed their dogs to use our pitch as a toilet facility without the required clean up!
First impressions are important and it would appear " if your not from around here, aka Royston Vasey! Then you are insignificant!
The saving grace was the individual who tried to help and served a great pint in the pub!

Decided to end the camping year by staying at Yew Tree Inn and it was great as the pub had events planned for 30th (monthly cider club, 10 GBP per person) and 31st (free cider tasting, cider flight and cheese pairing, plus free buffet and pear cocktail to welcome the New Year), highly recommended.
The site only has 8 pitches and it was fully booked; however, due to last minute cancellation, a couple of pitches were unoccupied.
The facilities were well-maintained as per usual.
Already booked for their cider festival in August and Rosstoberfest (their Octoberfest) in October 2024, waiting for booking to open for the New Year weekend as I am definitely going back!
Love this site and the pub!

Just returned from another lovely trip at this pub camp site which is adult-only.
I booked months in advance without knowing my stay would coincide with their Oktoberfest weekend, and it was lovely, with lots of guest beers as well as ciders and perries from Ross-on-Wye Cider and Perry Company. They also had pizzas from Firebird Oven which had 4 pizzas especially for the festival. There were music too and it was all very jolly and fun, and everyone was in good spirit and many in costumes.
The pitch I chose, being Pitch 4 was slightly slanted and I needed to use my chocks on one side.
The facilities were great for a pub campsite, very clean and tidy. Two separate toilets were unisex, and there was only one sink outside. There were two separate showers, one with a toilet and sink and was accessible by wheelchair users.
There is no motorhome service point, however, there was a chemical disposal point, a grey water waste drain and 2 washing up sinks with very hot water!
All communal areas and facilities were well kept.
Apart from the pub's Oktoberfest, they also hosted a cider blending workshop as part of the Hereford AppleFest during my stay. It was very informative and enjoyable.
The site was only a short walk away from Broom Farm where one could find the orchards for cider apples and pears for perry; as well as the more rustic Orchard Camping which is family friendly without EHU.
The owners of the Broom Farm and Ross Cider and Perry Company were very friendly and helpful to visitors. Likewise for those who were behind the bar at Yew Tree Inn who also looked after the cider shop with lots of their own products to choose from.
Yew Tree Inn is a must for cider and perry lovers without a doubt, and I have booked to stay over the New Year weekend in 2023/4 and also for their annual cider festival in late August/early September 2024. Can't wait!

Good sized hardstanding pitches with EHU.
Excellent showers and toilets.
Friendly staff. Food and wide choice of ciders.
Walk through orchards.
Buses to Ross on Wye, Hereford, Gloucester.
Initial impression disappointing due to a few old, scruffy permanent caravans with awnings. Belies the true quality of the site.
