This site appears to be closed. We arrived via the coast path to find the place deserted. But strangely there were a couple of caravans obviously inhabited and hooked up to the electric even though the main gate was locked

Stayed at this site for one night.
It is small and basic.
There are ladies and gents toilets with one shower in the men’s, 2 sinks and one toilet.
My wife said there were more loos and showers in the ladies.
The facilities need a bit of TLC, but for the price, you can't complain.
The site slopes down hill slightly, but we had the site to ourselves, so picked the flattest pitch against the sea side fencing. The view of the bay is beautiful especially watching the sun go down.
Be warned this can be a windy site.
Also there was no one there to meet us, but as we were the only people on site, we could pitch anywhere.
The road onto the site is a bit rutted, so be careful with expensive caravans.
You can walk back to the village either along the road you came to site on or along the cliff top, which is more picturesque.
Once in the village there are at least 3pubs a local mini market, bakers and fish and chip shop.
We had a couple in the stag, which had a small selection of real ales and as the chef was off sick, the barman let us nip out to the chippy for fish and chips and eat them on the sun terrace. Be warned a large chips is what it says, it could feed a family.
The coastal walks are beautiful and worth the effort after a good lunch.
The chapel is worth a look as you walk the coastal path.
I would have rated this site higher if the facilities had been better, We didn't take any children with us, but there would be room enough for the to play. The waste bins were overflowing, but you can't beat the location if you get the weather.

Fantastic area and views spectacular. Very quiet spot, suitable for small families wanting to chill. Shower block and toilets a major let down, never got cleaned in over a week, full of spiders and their cobwebs. Not too sure whats what on the walls in the toilet? Floor very dirty, shower curtain sticks to your legs as your washing. No electric points only in the small kitchen. Warning the kitchen has extremely hot water from the tap but no sign on the wall to say that. Not too sure whether the water from the taps is drinking water again no sign to confirm.
Pubs and shops a short distance away, sweet little village. Cemaes Bay gorgeous and fun for the kids.
Other than that had a fantastic time camping, weather superb and views amazing, not sure I would want to go back unless there was some improvements made. Was told by a local that the land had been sold and not too sure whether the campsite will still be there in the future.

We found the site by accident, it`s basic but nicely located with views of the sea,
A quiet site ideal for small children (although no play area). The surrounding town, which is only a 10 minute stroll away, has Plenty of pubs that serve food and a good shop for a little fishing village.
Small coves scatter this area with small beaches plenty of places for a bit of fishing as well.
Myself and my daughter will be returning later in the year and I`ve already recommended it to some friends and it`s cheap at £10 per night for a 4 man tent and the dog (not per person)!

We visited this campsite over this weekend. It was a bit unusual in the fact that there was no-one around to greet us or for the whole time we were there. In fact we had to guess at the price and leave some money through the letterbox.
On the plus side the site was quiet, the views were spectacular, the walk to the beach and the town was short and pleasant. There was also plenty of hot water and it was free.
The negatives were that the site felt tired and uncared for. There was never any loo roll and the lights inside the ladies didn't work. It didn't appeared to be cleaned the whole time we were there for example the bins weren't emptied in the loos and the there was litter on the floor.
This could be a great site with a bit of love

This is a quiet and relaxing site with fantastic views. Short walk to town and beach. Selection of two beaches, one more private than the other.
Harriet and Ryan are a lovely couple who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The toilet block is basic but is clean with three toilets and two showers in the ladies.
The gents is being refurbished but there is a toilet and shower available at the moment. We love it there that much we will be returning on a regular basis. Owners were very helpful when we had an issue with the electric hook up, provided us with an extension lead.

Visited in August in touring caravan hubby myself and the dog. Very tight going through the bottom end of the town, scary but can't be avoided! Road up to site full of pot holes needs attending to. Not many flat pitches to be had but the beautiful views make up for that. Facilities not cleaned any time during our stay. Beautiful little bay and excellent coastal walks. This site is very open to the elements so be prepared for very strong winds. Although the views were excellent I will not be paying a return visit.

When booking this site and rang to book I was advised it was £15 per night. I suppose I should have realised you get what you pay for. We are by no means fussy campers, but there are certain standards that should be maintained. The toilet/ shower block was not exactly filthy, but far from well kept. Cobwebs everywhere which says it certainly isn't cleaned often. No soap to wash your hands after the loo. We go to festivals and I have experienced better facilities there. The walls had a wooden covering on them which in the showers were obviously wet and looking really, really tired. The grass could have done with a cut. Not sure if they were in the process of doing the place up but it needs doing quick. I was struggling to find a site over August bank holiday and rang this one. I use UK Campsite all the time its a fantastic website. Apart from the weather being naff we would have stayed the 3rd night but as we couldn't handle using the showers, we were getting washes in our campervan. A third day without a shower wasn't really an option. Feel a bit cheated as this was a little family weekend away before my son started school and we had to cut it short. Cemaes Bay is a lovely little village though.

Anglesey is a beautiful island and there are a lot better sites to stay on. We were going to stay for two weeks but could not put up with the facilities.
Showers are cramped, moldy shower curtain . Wc and wash basin need a good clean and cleaned every day not 1 dip of the mop for the whole block at 10pm as witnessed
Plenty of room for improvement

Reading some of the reviews left makes me wonder if we were on the same site.I have been camping for many years and this has to be the worst site. The views are breathtaking and the location is excellent, you even have a private beach which is beautiful but the toilets and the unloved site lets its all down. The toilets only had a quick clean each day which made them really unpleasant to use. There are plenty of walks to do which would keep any serious walker happy, there are plenty of beaches which it great for families with younger children but not with a teenager as unfortunately he was bored as there was not really a lot for him to do. Angelsey is a lovely place
