The pub is lovely, and the food was very tasty, although some of the portions were on the small side.

We were on hardstanding which was just like a car park. Used the facilities once, and the light went out whilst I was showering leaving the cubicle dark.

Can't comment on customer service on the site as we didn't see anyone.

Easy to find and access campsite. Largish pitches, (though we were the only ones there!)

Handy for visiting Belvoir castle, (2 mile drive), though the discount code we were given did not work.

CDP unusable due to being totally blocked with leaves.

£25/ night inc EHU with showers and toilets. Toilets were clean but shower trays looked a bit grubby. No hot water working on the washbasins and didn't try the showers so don't know.

We didn't try the pub as the menu looked a bit sparse.

Just awesome 😎 nothing else to add really.

Kids and adults all had a completely amazing time!

I recently spent a very wet weekend camping with a friend at this site, and despite the weather and my friend being entirely new to camping, I felt decently happy with the site overall as a "first go" option.

The site is down a no through road, off a quiet lane. There is very little noise, except for the odd car, and the distant sound of the railway and dual carriage way when the wind is blowing from the east.

It is also perfectly flat and well sheltered, with the ground being soft and free from and significant lumps or stones.

Pitches, for the most part, are also massive, and an excellent size for large tents, or groups (myself and my friend had plenty of space to spread out in 2 small tents on a single pitch which was most welcomed).

Contrary to what appears to be advertised on their website however, there is not currently much of a view of the castle, due to trees and other vegetation blocking the view. This isn't a major issue as it of course provides extra shade and shelter.

The site is not manned, however it makes 'booking in' a very simple and stress free process, provided you receive the access code before you arrive.

The facilities are found at the back of the pub property, but are rather on the small side, and the cleaning schedule would appear to not be daily. Additionally, parts of the facilities appeared to be out of order, which in the case of the busiest of times may cause issues. However, the facilities were usable, and the showers dispensed a good flow of hot water which was very much appreciated during adverse weather.

The drinking water situation was a bit confusing, with the caravan wastewater section seemingly ambiguously labelled. Drinking water looked like it was supposed to be obtained from the dish washing area, which for anyone with large water tanks, could prove to be an issue.

There are good options for walking or cycling from here, being next to the canal towpath, and near public footpaths as well as quiet lanes with minimal car traffic. Access to shops is somewhat more limited, but manageable with forward planning or access to a car.

Overall though, a pleasant trip, and my friend seemed pleased, which in turn makes me pleased!

 The campsite was lovely,

Only complaint was the toilets, not enough especially in the men's, one toilet 2 urinals they could of done with being cleaned bit more.

Other than that all good. When campsite busy people were queuing

This was a quiet and well arranged site. The showers were superb and the pub was extremely good.

We were given a gate code so we could arrive at our leisure which was very convenient.

The location is in lovely countryside and Belvoir castle is close by which was stunning.

All round we would highly recommend this site.

Belvoir castle campsite was a nice, quiet place 3 miles away from Belvoir castle.

The Dirty Duck pub on site was spot on and had a lovely landlady, however, they do not have anything to do with the campsite, so the campsite is not manned.

However, this is not really an issue. The engine yard is close by with plenty to do and belvoir castle too.

Great canal walks literally right next to you and great for a short, relaxing weekend away.

I booked a hard standing pitch but I’d definitely recommend grass in future.

The campsite is unmanned and accessible via a coded gate. The campsite consists of a hard standing area behind the Dirty Duck and then a hedge dividing the grass pitches. If you are thinking of staying here 100% book onto a grass pitch - the hardstanding pitch is literally a car park next to the bins.

The site itself is fine, however no where near worth the price of £28 per night. The grass pitch tapers off into a point making the pitches towards the back end of the site smaller for cars to get pass.

The facilities are very basic at best, toilet blocks are far too small for the site, male wash block consists of one cubical and two urinals meaning there were queues most of the time for the toilets.

Pot washing facilities consists of two sinks and are basic but fine.

Location is great, you have Belvoir castle on your doorstep, the Vale of Belvoir and Canal walks. You also have The Dirty Duck pub (no connection/affiliation with the campsite) which does very nice food at very good prices.

Overall, the site is FINE however we've stayed at much nicer sites for the same price (sometimes less). We would not return at these prices - I'd strongly suggest the owners reviewing their price structure.

Keypad entry, no supervision, no office, no shop on site.

Hardstandings are grubby disused carpark which will not take awnings or canopies. View is ten foot hedge or pub carpark, nor=t as shown on website.

Dog waste reported overflowing in June, still overflowing. Waste bins overflowing with rubbish

Drinking water tap in very grubby area which appear to not have been cleaned in months. Tap at waste water drain where toilets were also emptied and washed.

Website shows each hardstanding with a view of Belvoir castle, there is no such view. Belvoir castle cannot be seen from the caravan site.

Grass pitches good size. Campers ignored pitch boundaries and camped randomly ignoring fire break distance regulations.

Toilets always clean but totally in adequate for size of site, queues frequent.

In almost 50 years of caravanning this has to be the unhygienic site we have stayed on

Everything including the pitch, showers and toilets etc, needed a serious upgrade particularly in view of the cost per night.

There was no one to welcome you or direct you to your pitch or show you where the facilities, water or anything else was.

All in all I doubt we will be using this site again.
