This is a fantastic adults-only site. It is in such a great location near the town, but is still very peaceful. The train station is a short walk away, and there is now a bus that goes between Howden and Goole stations (timetable can be seen above the sink in the toilets), which allows you to venture further.
The site itself is wonderful and extremely well maintained by the lovely owners. The showers and toilets were always spotless.
Pitches are spacious and have a good distance between them. There are walks directly from the site, but it's also an excellent place to act as a base for exploring the area.
The owners are lovely and extremely helpful, and happy to give advice about places to visit and so on, which is great. They are also quick to respond, which really helped us out of a tricky last minute situation, and we were very grateful for that. Thank you!
If you were staying long-term, the only thing you would need access to is a launderette in one of the towns.
This was our second visit to the site and we absolute loved being there again as we really got the rest that we needed!
Would happily recommend to anyone who would like a peaceful location that allows you to explore the delightful town of Howden and the surrounding areas.

I don't think I have ever stayed at a more peaceful site,
It is kept absolutely pristine including the toilet block,
Waste water and chemical toilet disposal area,
Well kept dog exercise area with a lovely bench just right for the older end to sit whilst your dog is free to run off lead.
Although a lot of the pitches are seasonal everyone is so friendly and sociable and made you feel part of a large family.
Highly recommended cant wait to return.

Lovely very well kept site with large pitches with spotless amenities block, met by the friendly owner who showed us to our pitch, and explained where the toilets and showers were.
Ideally situated for visiting the surrounding areas of Selby and close to the small Georgian town of Howden which is very pretty with the co-op there for those essentials.
Would I stay there again?. Yes most definitely, as its an adult only site which we find appealing and a dog friendly one too.

We were really impressed with this lovely site and would highly recommend it.
The spacious pitches are immaculately kept and the setting itself is so peaceful.
The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean (£1 for 7 mins) and our dog Woody loved the enclosed area where he could exercise and play!
Upon arrival the wardens Wendy & Kevin greeted us and were both friendly and helpful ensuring our stay went smoothly and offering us knowledge of the local area.
We really can't wait to go back.

Another nice adults only site to add to our list. Pitches are well kept and its a peaceful site.
Perfect location to the market town of Howden
The facilities are well kept, however just a note - showers are charged at £1 for about 6/7 minutes.
Thanks for a great stay

Nice clean site, just outside Howden town.
Toilet block clean, £1 for shower. 2 lady & 2 men with 1 shower in between weekends and holidays with 24 pitches with 21 residential you’d better book appointment to shower…
There are rules to obey, especially adult only, my daughter travelled to see us with 2 month old baby, was not allowed on site, told can only see her off site. As if the baby in car seat would be kicking balls and damaging caravans…. Plus early season there was only myself and one other on site…
It is a nice caravan site Only 3 spaces as rest are seasonal pitches… not enough amenities….

Management response: Brenda House Caravan Park’s special features are that it is a quiet and peaceful place which is for adults only. These features attract our many regular customers who hold seasonal pitches and the tourers who return time after time.
We appreciate that if these terms and conditions do not chime with individual user's plans it might be frustrating, but these terms and conditions are made very clear at the time when bookings are made.
The comment regarding the toilet block is incorrect as there are 2 showers. We have never had any complaints about queueing for showers or lack of amenities on site. Comments like this are most unhelpful when they are not backed up by accurate details. |

Very nice, well kept site. Had to change booking dates last minute which wasn't an issue.
Huge pitches.
Only issue was the dog walk was water and mud logged.
Toilets could do with heating in winter

Although we had storms this weekend we still enjoyed this site. The warden greeted us on arrival, handed us some walking and information on the local town (Howden) and was very friendly.
As promised because we arrived late the warden then came around in the morning and explained where everything as (very friendly).
We chose to do the 4 mile walk and divert into town which was very nice apart from the weather.
All in all a nice site in a nice location with friendly wardens.

On arriving the caravan site looked lovely, nicely spaced out, but the noise from the road and the train woke us up and spoilt it.
