 Friendly, helpful staff. Bus stop 10 mins away takes you to overground train to London or Underground network, it’s good. Same for coming back.
Facilities clean on arrival, could do with a bit more attention over the weekend probably. Only three traps in the Gent’s bog and three showers which is a bit thin for the number of pitches. Don’t be given the pitches by the bogs (grey waste smells, constant footfall of folk going to the facilities walking through pitches, emptying Elsan, showering, taking washing up there and back, kids racing round, some woman sitting at the bench outside the Ladies bog talking at her phone on speaker whilst drinking and smoking at 03:00!).
It’s a noisy area of London, idiots with cars doing donuts, wheel spins & crackling exhausts.
All that said, it’s the people of the area and some of the campers that let it down, DEFFO NOT the fault of the company or the staff.

Helpful staff, nice level pitches and good facilities.
Very good value for the money.
Staff changed the pitch when we asked as we have a very short electric lead.
Overall a very good stay.

Well placed for our trip into London
Bus at door to bus station then into London Bridge.
Site well looked after toilets and showers clean.
Reception staff very helpful
Would definitely stay here again

We use Lee Valley occasionally whenever we visit London. (This time for seeing inside Buckingham Palace). Last time was some years ago.
Facilities were great, nice hot showers, loads of hot water for dishwashing. I did think they (and grounds) were in need of attention. However it’s almost end of season after all the summer tourists so I’m sure it will all be attended to in time.
The reception didn’t stock anything at all, not a shop. So be warned don’t find yourself out of food or cleaning requirements. All staff were the friendliest ever. Lovely greeting on arrival.
Really helped us to sort best and quickest transport into London. Which is 45 minutes to an hour by bus overground train and Tube. Longer by bus.
Omar was so kind went far beyond his duty helping us with the congestion and LEZ charges. We did have a problem and he spent a long time on computer trying to help. Such a nice bloke.

Not my usual area for camping but I needed to be at an event in north London and even bog standard chain hotels wanted £100+!
Anyway, my experience didn't get off to a great start when I checked the availability calendar and found I could get a pitch for £10.50. But that changed to over £20 when I got to the booking page. They have a minimum price per night, if your booking doesn't come to that price you have to pay it anyway. So if you're travelling on your own with a backpacker tent you pay the same as two folk in a six man tent.
It was easy enough to find the site. It's not in the most glamorous location, behind a cinema/leisure complex. Check-in is done online so I can't comment on the site staff as I didn't see any. Perhaps that's more convenient but I prefer to deal with a human, especially at £20+ a night.
Pitches were a decent size. You're allocated a pitch. I specifically asked for a pitch away from others if possible as I was going to be arriving back late and didn't want to risk disturbing anyone. Despite there being lots of empty pitches my allocated spot was right between two families.
Toilet/shower facilities were ok but not particularly clean with mud patches on the floor and a general vibe of school changing rooms after a football match. In the morning there was rubbish strewn all over the grass near the bins, it was there first thing and it was still there when I left around 11am.
There's some road and aeroplane noise (those A380s howl!) but it's London area so that was expected. There were fireworks going off in the distance around 1am!
It's around a 20 minute walk to the nearest station from where you can get to central London. There didn't seem to be much in the immediate area.
As a place to sleep for a night if you're visiting London it's ok, it's not somewhere I'd want to spend a few days though.

The site was improved from 5 years ago when I last visited it. Not many others there at this time of year.
The amenities block and nearby dishwashing facility was spotless and in very good working condition.
Luckily the noisy night time - early morning street-racer wheely sessions did not occur - but my first night was a Sunday and the rain on the second was continuous snd heavy all night - not the day of the week or weather for wheelies. This is being well handled anyway so as to ease this situation.
The local travel advice of the very helpful and welcoming site manager, Debbie, was especially factual and much appreciated.

A little gem.
Every area of the campsite was very clean and well maintained.
The wardens are absolutely lovely and so helpful.
Pool is a bonus too with the warmer weather.
You can hear the traffic from the site but not a huge issue given all the benefits there.

Pitch was next to tent field with lots of kids running about shouting and playing in our pitch They were throwing pebbles which were hitting our motorhome and I had to ask them to stop.
We were travelling to London next day by tube and were concerned about leaving motorhome. The second day when I visited the shower and toilet block I found it in an unacceptable state. Rubbish all over the floor and obviously not been cleaned, although this was 10am.
There weren’t places to visit nearby, eg walks etc. It was a good walk to bus stop as Road was being repaired. Nothing local where you could eat etc.
When we returned at approximately midnight by taxi to the site there were people with music and lights, general partying till after 1am.
There was no warden etc to monitor this, also site wasn’t secure and anyone could just walk in.
