Just spent 3 nights on this site the staff are both very friendly and helpful pitches are a good size, the toilets/showers were kept clean & tidy there is a play area for the kids and a small shop also.
Travelling into london is quite easy the staff will give you all the help you need to get into the capital it took us around 40mins all in,you can get travel passes on site (£6 for adult kids under 11 go free) these cover both buses & trains.
The site is basic but kept clean & tidy and was quiet at night and has barrier security the only thing we didn`t like was the smell of sewage as others have mentioned.

We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't believe we were in london, no noise whatsoever. Excellent service from lee valley, the staff couldn't do enough for us, helped with directions into london city and nearby markets.
Shower blocks very tidy and clean although very busy. Has a no noise policy from 10.30pm and everyone did just that. There was a park on site for kids and have a good size BBQ area. Would definitely visit again. Has good security on site. Good value for money.

A nice sized, clean and basic site, with friendly staff, we had a nice pitch under some cherry trees. The toilet/shower facilities were clean, however there was only 3 showers in the ladies, so timing was essential or expect a wait.
The site is situated in a leisure complex that contained a large cinema, indoor running track and bowls lawn. The complex was quiet whilst we were there, although we didn't experience a Friday or Saturday night at the pitch.
It was easy to reach London city centre when a day travel ticket (£6 each) is purchased from the campsite office, it allowed travel on the bus, train and underground throughout London. It takes about 50mins to get into the city and buses/trains come about every 8-12mins.
We were put off by the smell of sewage at the campsite, I guess there might have been a sewage works nearby.

Really loved the site, visited in Feb, Wardens were very friendly, nothing was too much bother.
Free showers which were clean and toilets clean too. Washing up facilities were great even though we didn't need to, we decided to use them.
We stayed for 2 nights and spent the day in London, so cheapest way we could find for a short break in the Capital.
From the site it was a short bus trip to the train station, then a short train ride to the underground. All used the London travel card bought on site.
Car was safe at the site whilst we were away as it was also barrier controlled.
Shop stocked usual things needed, we ran out of teabags!
Facilities within walking distance were a multiplex cinema and sports hall.
We WILL be using this site again for our short stays in London.

Spent four nights here to tour London with our friends who also have a tourer. The site is very easy to find and is situated behind a cinema complex. The other eating facilities are now closed but there is a harvester within walking distance along the main road or the longer route along the canal.
The showers and toilets are well maintained and the touring pitches are level. The wardens are extremely friendly and willing to help if you have any difficulties.
The bus starts right outside the campsite and the travel links are excellent with this bus running every 8 minutes. After a short ride you pick up a train and then a tube and away you go. Central London can be reached within 40 minutes with an all day adult travelcard for £6.30p purchased from camping reception. Kids 10 and under are free so it is a great site to stay to access London. Will be back again if we visit London.

We have been going to this campsite for the last 6 years, and I must say its an excellent site very clean and friendly and the staff will go out of there way to help you, it is situated behind a cinema and when we first started going there, the bars next to it were open but over the years they have closed down.
There is a running arena and the kids love going and watching the many sports activities going on.
The park there for the children is a good size. The toilets and showers are always very clean and warm.
It is well situated out of London and it could not be easier to get there as they sell the tickets to get to the city at the main reception, and the bus stops just out side the site, its a 10 mins journey to the train station and then about 20 mins in to the city from there, the tickets are cheap only £6.00 each for the bus, train and underground.
If you need any supplies then the local town is great, with a huge Tesco and many bars and restaurants.
It is a great campsite and we will be going for many more years to come, and because of the great experience we have had, we have even up graded this year from a tent to a trailer tent.

Great week. This is the first time that we have been to this site and wanted to take my children to London. Great base for this as it is just a bus and two trains away to central London.
Site was very clean and well looked after. After a review that I had read and they said there was a lot of air traffic noise, you must realise that you are near London and therefore in the middle of Luton,Stanstead, Gatwick and Heathrow so you are going to get a bit but this did not affect our enjoyment of the site.
The staff were great and we will be going back.

Quite easy to find.
On first inspection campsite not bad, unfortunately toilets not up to standard, water from showers all around floor, once had to literally hunt for toilet roll, and sometimes didn't flush. Also womens showers always a queue unless you got up at 6 o clock.
Apart from that well situated it cost about 15 pounds for 2 adults and a child travel cards for a day ( very reasonable) Also bus service v good. Get the bus outside the cinema the W8 To Chase Farm Hospital( that's etched in my memory).
Went to see Oliver absolutely fantastic best thing I have ever seen.

This is one of the best sites we've visited. When we arrived the warden took us to our pitch and made sure we were able to connect our electric hook-up. Although there were a lot of people on site, it never felt crowded and we were always able to get a shower without queuing. The facilities were clean and mostly worked well, except a toilet which did not flush. The laundry was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They sold us all-day travel cards for £6.50 each and gave us good instructions for getting to the City. There is a frequent bus to Edmonton; the stop is 5 minutes walk from the site. It is next to an Odeon cinema, which was handy. It takes about 10 minutes on the bus, then half an hour to get to Liverpool Street; then we used the Underground or buses to get around.
Lee Valley is ideal for London, but we also visited Waltham Abbey and Beth Chatto's Garden in Essex, which was a must-see experience if you like gardening.
There is a 24-hour Tesco at Ponder's End, which is a short drive from the site. There are no facilities for freezing ice packs on site, so you can't keep fresh food long. The office gave us a menu from a local Indian take away. The madras chicken curry was very good. The site was quiet at night. I am a light sleeper, but had no problems.
On the day before we left, my wife was bitten by an insect and had a reaction which caused her face to swell up. We went to the office to ask about doctors and one of the staff (Dave?) lent us his sat nav so we could find North Middlesex Hospital. I later heard him speaking fluent French to another camper. What a guy!
We will definitely be staying here again when we want to visit London

Stayed at this site easter of this year. Location of site brilliant for visiting london, Site facilities, brilliant. Very clean, very well looked after. Staff at site yet again brilliant, could not do enough for you.
The site is a minute or so walk from bus stop to get you into edmonton to enable you to get into london central, buy a daily travel card from the office and save your self a small fortune, travel to central london is great from here, very regular and well connected. Local facilities fantastic, asda a short drive or bus ride, local picture house, two minute walk. If you want a civilised stay on the outskirts of the smoke then this is the place to be.
